iMovie 10.1.2 install not on El Capitan beta

When I try to install the latest update to iMovie (10.1.2), I get an error message saying "iMovie can not be installed because OS X version 10.11.2 or later is required."  My iMac running beta El Capitan.  Any suggestions?

Install the updated version of the official stable El Capitan, OS X version 10.11.5, that yesterday was published. It is basically the same as the last beta. But then, you should be able to install the update to iMovie.

The MPEG2 component is not necessary for the Mac, but it's by Streamclip. You can not install it in the operating system, Streamclip he died for you. You get the installer and Streamclip point to him.

  • The update to Acrobat pro 9.9.5 install not on El Capitan

Version 9 was working fine on my old iMac, with the latest updates, but I have problems, put it back on my new iMac (with El Capitan). It can be installed from the disc without any problems, but when I checked the updates and tried to install 9.5.5, it starts the process but then just installation gets stuck. (No movement on the blue bar at the end of an hour). I reinstalled the program from the disk again and tried again, but it's exactly the same thing. The core of the disc program works very well, but because updates are in part on security, I guess that it is not recommended. I would be very grateful for advice on how to solve this problem.

Acrobat 9 is not compatible with OS X El Capitan. You can buy Adobe Acrobat DC that is compatible with OS X El Capitan. For more details, please see Adobe Document Cloud | Adobe Acrobat DC

    Hi Jim,.

    • You are able to install and uninstall other programs on the computer with any error message?
    • Have you made changes to the computer recently before this problem started?

    Step 1

You can check if the windows service install is set to automatic and started and change accordingly. After verification test to check if you can uninstall iTunes and reinstall. To do this, follow the steps below:

    1. Click Start.
    2. In the start search box type services.msc and press enter
    3. In the services window, do scroll down to Windows install.
    4. Right-click on it and click Properties.
    5. Check if the startup type is set to automatic, otherwise it is set to automatic.
    6. Click the Start button, this will start the installation of windows services.
    7. Click on apply and Ok.

    Step 2

If the steps above do not help, you can unregister and re-register the windows service installed on your computer and check if that helps you solve the problem.

To do this, follow these steps:

    a. click on the Start menu, click on run.
    (b) in the Open box, type msiexec /unreg and press ENTER.
    (c) in the Start menu, click run.
    (d) in the Open box, type msiexec/regserverand press ENTER.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • "The windows service install not a not could be accessed."

"The windows service install not a not could be accessed."  I get this error when you try to install and uninstall programs.  I tried everything on this forum and cannot repair.    I have tried to change the registry, the clean boot, change the settings for the installer to manual and start, creating another account to test, restore points, updates to the installer, the upgrade to install 4.5, ran the File Checker system, checked for viruses or malicious software, while for other programs that may block the installation program.  I don't know where to go from here.  Can someone please help?

Looks like the only thing you haven't tried is pure install?

I suspect that you have used in the past the Windows Installer Cleanup utility, was as deeply in the past before this problem occurs?  The reason I ask is that Microsoft has just withdrawn this service program.

Microsoft withdrew the Windows Installer Cleanup utility because of reliability problems, or is it only made available in specific tools Fixit.
