  I think that all your problems are caused by infections "hijackware.

  If doing the clean install, etc., is outside your comfort zone - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the computer to a local, reputable and independent (no BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) computer repair shop... If you think that a 8 + year old computer worth the expense that would be.

• Upgrade from ColdFusion 2016: can't access folders /api/

  Hello CF community.

  I recently upgraded from ColdFusion to ColdFusion 2016 10 and I noticed that I can access is no longer in all pages who live in a folder named/api /.

  For example: www.mysite.com/api/index.cfm now returns a 500 error "application could not be found.  See the following screenshot:

  This is because there is a servlet-mapping/api cf /.

  You can remove the mapping by going to cfinstall/cfusion/wwwroot/WEB-INF/web.xml.  You can search the api servlet-mapping and comment him.

  I'm having trouble installing the latest patch on my developer edition 21 CF. I have not had problems before with the installation of patches.

  2. ERROR - Could not move the C:\{CFPATH}\lib\updates\{filename}.notes file to the location of backup C:\{CFPATH}\hf-updates\hf-10-00021\backup\lib\updates\{filename}.notes
  3. ERROR - Could not move the C:\{CFPATH}\lib\updates\{filename}.hotfix_021.jar file to the location of backup C:\{CFPATH}\hf-updates\hf-10-00021\backup\lib\updates\{filename}.hotfix_021.jar

  I am running the command-line in Windows as an administrator. So I don't think it's a problem of permission. All the more that the other files are written in these places during the installation (C:\{CFPATH}\hf-updates\hf-10-00021\backup\...).

  OS is Windows 7

  During the attempt to install the fix, I see the files *.details and *.notes writing in the C:\{CFPATH}\lib\updates folder. They are deleted at the end of the process.

  Had a similar problem with update 20. Here area few things Adobe told me to do.

  1. Make sure that you open the command prompt with run as administrator. You have the right permissions.
  2. They asked me to run the update with the version of JAVA that the ColdFusion server is / was using. Seems that the version of Java that I had for the operating system was not the same version as the one referenced in ColdFusion server. So, I found myself by running the command as: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_101\bin\java.exe" - jar ".jar JAR file c:\{name}"

  We plan to upgrade our Enterprise version 10, because it would not connect to our database company Oracle 12 c.

  CF 11 Standard giving us that CF 10 Enterprise does not work and it would be able to connect with Oracle 12 c enterprise edition?

  We have installed CF on several servers. That is the key to the standard (installation on one server only) vs company (can install on several servers) and CF 11 would connect with 12 c Oracle enterprise server.

  Since this is a 3rd pilot, you can't find falling down. Please follow the instructions below.

  1. download the driver think Oracle's Web site.

  2. you can copy the driver \ColdFusion\cfusion\lib or ColdFusion\cfusion\wwwroot\WEB-INF\lib

  3. restart the ColdFusion service.

  4. connect to CFadmin > Datasources > add data source name and the menu drop down select 'other '.

• ColdFusion Server Monitor error

  OS / Redhat Linux 7

  CF Version 11,0,07,296330

  Tomcat 7.0.64.0 version

  Java version 1.8.0_25

  I have this strange problem that I hope is an easy solution.  Already when I ran CF9 I was able to enter the server without problem monitor.  In June, we have deployed a new server and installed CF11.  Since then, I was not able to get in the server monitor, so I guess that the problem is related to the way that configure ColdFusion server.

  When I click on Start Server Monitor in the CF administrator, he launches a new window, but displays the following error message:

  

  I don't know if he just needs in bad the monitor server, or the issue is due to the account used to set up see  ColdFusion is running as user "nobody"... which I'm sure that isn't the right way to have this set up.  For login information, I tried using the administrator account that connect to the Admin of CF page with, but did not have luck.

  We plan to use the version with JBOSS J2EE. Documentation on how to set up the Apache to WSCONFIG connector bibl, supposedly are to:

  cf_root/runtime/bin/wsconfig

  But it is not part of the J2EE installation. How can I get the software needed for the configuration of Apache?

  ColdFusion does not binary connector for J2EE installation. You must use the binaries of JBoss.

• Linux version of ColdFusion 2016 incomplete J2EE enterprise version?

  I installed the J2EE EAR of 2016 Coldfusion on Windows and managed to deploy on JBOSS EAP7.

  Then, I tried to do the same thing on Linux, but there are all kinds of errors when the ColdFusion deployment exploded EAR.

  One mistake, it's missing the file:

  cfusion.ear/cfusion.war/WEB-INF/cfform-gateway-config.xml

  Which makes me wonder if the installation is incomplete.

  Does anyone else has similar problems?

  It turns out that the installation WAS incomplete, he ran in the nr files in Linux being too low. Raise that and re - install has solved the problem.

• Administrator ColdFusion 2016 - Connection Multi Instance Bug

  Working with CF2016 was quite the adventure...

  A major nuisance (bug) I met is incapable of managing several sites administrator for separate instances running on the same server.

  To reproduce this, open Chrome and go to 1 tablet to the Tomcat Administrator by default box https://wt-cf2016-1:8443/CFIDE/administrator and the login.

  Then open a second tab, then go to another instance that is running on the same connection https://wt-cf2016-1:8601/CFIDE/administrator and don't have box

  Select your original tab in the first step and click on any link on the left menu.  You will be instantly connected.

  What is ironic in this regard, it is that I can be connected to the same instance repeatedly in the same Chrome browser with the simultaneous to allow for the active Administrator Console login sessions...

  Please file a bug report for the same problem on the Bug Tracker. Adobe will never know (only a few members of the ColdFusion team) effectively monitor the forum, because it is really peer-to-peer support.

  I am reviewing our current ColdFusion 11 Standard Server virtualization and would like some details on licenses
  aspect. Read the EULA, it has a license allows a virtual machine with up to two vcores/vprocs. What I'm not clear all is GHZ restrictions.

  The 5 GHz range is by vcore or virtual machine?  Is it a restriction of host or can be strangled on the VM instance? For example, you can have a simple VM with 2 vcores to 3 GHz with a single license, or do need to be strangled at 2.5 GHz?

  The extent of the physical server as I understand it you set not by physical processor CPU but the number of nuclei divided by 4.  If a standard license would cover a physical processor with up to 4 cores or 2 CPU with up to 8 cores in total?

  I missed the article 1.4 (I searched the PDF file for the 'divide' but not 'divide').  Section 3.1. does not mention the part of carrots/4 well (I read this part carefully).

  However, based on article 1.4, I would say that a standard single license will cover either a single physical processor (Jepp) with up to 8 cores, or two pCPUs with up to 4 cores of each.

• 11 - Pier Unresponsive - ColdFusion cannot access the solr

  I can't access the collections ColdFusion since the Admin SEE I went to access solr directly through the interface of server jetty (127.0.0.1:8987/solr/) and the screen is blank (never - loads web page browser just keeps trying to load). By looking at the log files, everything seems ok with solr - there is no startup emissions recorded in the files of newspapers thrown (it ends by indicating that solr and PDFgServlet are loaded and available) or files of CF newspapers.

  The server is a R2 2012 Windows box with the latest patches. CF 11 Enterprise with the latest patch (I've restored to patch #3 just to see if it was a recent CF patch that caused the problem, but no change). 96 GB of RAM and Xeon processors son be believe it is not a question of resources (RAM and CPU resources are not being taxed in the slightest). The only other software on the server are SQL Server Web Edition 2016.

  I tried this on another server with the same configuration, same problem. I tried a 3rd server with Xeon processors at a slightly different model and SQL Server 2014 Web Edition and it works on this server. I doubt that SQL Server 2016 is the issue. I stopped the 2016 and still unable to connect to the pier SQL instance.

  I think the problem is the web server thrown and not of solr. I don't see anything in the log files that shows there is no problem loading solr. I also launched solr with active debugging, which provided a ton of information, but nothing not showing errors.

  Any ideas? Anyone with other problems thrown?

  I talked to Adobe support and come this problem and the ultimate solution was to reinstall the module Adobe Service (uninstall it and reinstall it in the same place with settings by default otherwise). As soon as this was done, it worked exactly as it should. I had already tried this, but I let it install in the default folder, that he recommended, outside the CF server instance root (cfusion).

  I would also add that Adobe support has been very helpful through this process. I used ColdFusion since Macromedia CF 4.5 and support has always been a pain point, outside the community of users.
