Implementation of Web Services

I found a video which is very informative that I wanted to share with the community. He has been out for some time, but did not have many points of view if I am I'll post them here so that he can get the best exposure.

It provides and introduction to web services and shows an activation procedure that have and then goes on to explain what ePrint is, how it works and what type of documents can be sent using ePrint.

I hope the community finds this useful and informative!  Good impression!

    Hello, I'm looking for a walkthrough to implement a call to a Web service from a swf file, I can't find...

    What exactly do you find? Search Google for "AS3 WebService" gives tons of information and examples. Essentially, you simply use URLLoader to call the service and pass your data. A complete listener attached to the charger allows you to retrieve data from the service.

  • OfficeJet 5740 e-all-in-one: the printer display shows 'downloading' message despite no web service implemented

    I got a new Officejet 5740 e-all-in-one and put in place a few days ago. It is implemented in a router which is also a modem.  I've implemented any web service.  My network is password protected, and I'm the only one on this subject.

    A couple of times I arrived in front of the printer and there was a screen that says that there is a current download, and he showed the percent completed. This surprised me because I have not implemented in web services for the printer.

    I cancelled the download, both times.  The second time I accidentally typed the screen again.  I don't know what button I hit, but it has printed a message that says that my printer is now web enabled.  He also says that my printer has an email address.

    I went into the web installer, and it seemed to me that I had not implemented the web.

    1. what could it possibly download?

    2. If it does not complete a download while I'm not looking for, will there be a record of this?

    Hi @Andrew111,

    Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printer problem.

    I understand that you use a 5740 Officejet from HP printer e-all-in-one with a computer of Windows 7 and you noticed that the screen of the printer said there was a current download, which you surprised because you but you did not set up web services. I would like to help with that.

    You mentioned that the printer has its own e-mail address. Web services have been enabled for the printer to have an address of mail @hpeprint.com. It is possible to disable the ePrint and printable HP once the HP Web Services has been enabled.

    The download that was underway was probably a printer update, which will come by automatically. Nothing to do with the computer. I don't think there is a record of updates of the printer anywhere.

    Please let me know if that answers your question...

  • Sent using the Web service object is null

    I have a running in JBoss Web service. He's just a "getperson" and "addperson" methods getPerson takes an integer and returns a Person (java) object. My flex code is fine with that. Then when I try to call the method "addPerson" webservice (from flex) the Java code that is called seems to be only partially filled. For example:

    Flex:
    var p: Object = new Object();
    p.firstName = textFirst.text;
    p.lastName = textLast.text;

    var ws: WebService = new WebService();
    WS.wsdl = " http://localhost: 8080/MyWebProject/person?" WSDL";
    ws.addPerson.addEventListener ("result", handleResult_addPerson);
    ws.addEventListener (FaultEvent.FAULT, handleFault);
    ws.loadWSDL ();
    ws.addPerson (p);

    Tell the textFirst and the textLast have "Bill" and "Gates".

    Java:
    the implementation of web service method
    public int addPerson (person) {}
    System.out.println ("person added:" + person);
    If (person! = null) {}
    System.out.println ("first:" + person.getFirstName ());
    System.out.println ("last:" + person.getLastName ());
    }
    }

    In the JBoss console output when "addPerson" is invoked is:
    Person: Person@40280923 (something like that)
    first: Bill
    last: null

    Any ideas why?

    too bad, I guess. It seems that Apache CXF (the thing I used to create my webservice) servlet Gets the SOAP message with all the values that I expected. Must be a problem on the side of CXF (server) of things.

  • The IOM Web services URL

    We try to implement SPML Web services in IOM. We have deployed web services connector in Jboss AS and then ran the batch file, which shows the accumulation of success.

    Now I have problems finding the default URL for web services (for IOM). Is it located in a file/location in the Home Directory of the IOM, or do we need to register an SPML Service via the Service Manager web oracle to obtain the URL?

    Thank you

    The section in the doc you are quoting refers to integration with Oracle Web Services Manager (WSM) which is another product. If you deploy SPML web service to the application server (and not WSM), then you must read the deployment with... article 12.3, where it has information on each application server. Endpoint URL of a deployed service are:

    WebLogic: / spmlws/OIMProvisioning
    JBoss: / spmlws/services/HttpSoap11
    OC4J, WebSphere: / spmlws/HttpSoap11

    Once you have deployed the web service of SPML, run the client example, you get even the source code so you can see exactly what is happening. If you want to generate a WSDL from Java classes using the web services toolkit, there is nothing preventing you to do this, just take a WSDL for the right application server.

  • Implementation of the Web Service on Blackberry

    Hello

    I am new to web services so now I want to know how you can hit the web services via the blackberry app?

    Y at - there no web service sample I can use to test the object.

    In fact, I want to know the implementation of the web service on blackberry.

    Please provice me useful links and resources.

    What is KSOAP2 in blackberry?

    I think there are 2 ways to use web services

    1 http

    2 SOAP

    I want to know the two tests.

    Please help me.

    Sorry for non trivial stuff like this there is nothing like "sample code" of my side - I work in a business environment, not as a developer open source.

  • The implementation of RunProgramInGuest of VIX using the vSphere Web Services SDK?

    Hello

    A few months ago I developed a python API for VIX, but as I needed to extend the functionality of this API (performance monitoring, host management, etc.) I moved the vSphere Web Services SDK.

    However, I did find a way to implement some comments VIX as LoginInGuest or RunProgramInGuest functions using only the Web Services SDK.

    Is there a way to do this? I thought that each function VIX has been translated internally to a soap request, but now I think that is not the case for these functions of comments, if so, how VIX inwardly does them?

    Thanks for your help!

    Sebastian Tello

    Currently, if you must implement specific comments operations running a specific script/application or by connecting to a guest, you must use the VIX API. This feature is not currently exposed in the vSphere API, you will need to use a combination of both, until VMware them integrates in the vSphere API core. For more details on the future of VIX, take a look at this blog post - http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2010/11/what-is-vmware-vix-api-and-its-future.html

  • HP Envy 110 All In One printer: HP Envy 110 series does not connect to Web Services

    I had the printer a number of years and it works very well. I wanted to set up the service of replacement with HP ink, but apparently the "Web Services" are not put in place?

    The iprint app refuses to implement. (says it is not connected to the internet and it is!)  I have tried restore factory settings and delete and reinstall on my laptop, nothing helps. I tried to enter the ip address in the browser, but it still does this end no more.

    The MNA I am doing wrong?

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    Welcome to the Forum from HP Support. I hope you're well @Amchad!

    I read on the web-services and wanted to stop doing you to share my suggestions.

    As of September 1, 2016, Web Services stop working and are no longer supported on some printers. I'm afraid that your printer is on the list and therefore not compatible with web services. The function ePrint and other web services are not available on this printer.

    Please check the details here: http://hp.care/2eKfeK2

    As an alternative to HP ePrint, go to Google Cloud Print (in English) to set up your printer as printer 'classic' to use Google Cloud print with your printer.

    Hope that answers your questions. Let me know!

    See you soon

  • OfficeJet 8620: OfficeJet HP 8620-"Web Services has been disabled!"

    About 6 months ago I bought an OfficeJet 8620.  It worked fine for 6 months.

    It is connected via WiFi using a DHCP address, and the network as the scanning options to the network folder and Web admin are working very well.

    I can access the printer Windows 10 PC, iPad Pro and 27 "iMac with OSX 10.

    I decided I want to enroll in the program HP ink instant - so I tried to enable it.  Through the web administration page, I discovered that 'Services Web has been disabled!   Please contact your administrator or the person who set up the printer.

    Any attempt to install or activate the web services (either through the admin web or printer) translates the same error.

    I have reset the printer to factory defaults and the error is the same.

    I'm completely unable to implement web services.

    I don't know what should be the next step.

    Welcome to the Forums of HP and thank you for your efforts so far @Hexland, I accept the challenge of helping you get this to work.

    From your description of the issue, and what you've already tried, I think it would be best to reset the most complete.

    There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

    A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!

  • HP Photosmart 5520 - problems with the connection to the web service

    Hi, I'm trying to run the web service on Hp Photosmart 5520, but it does not work. Wireless printing works well, but he says that it cannot connect to the server and sometimes requires adding a proxy.

    I've set up a fixed IP and I used it in the IP (manual ip) configuration, I've implemented manula and gateway subnet mask (using the address of my router). I used the same primary DNS preferred (but also tried 8.8.8.8 and others)

    No question.

    Currently, I removed all of the proxy page. The error I get says that it cannot communicate with the server.

    Thanks in advance

    .. don't ask me what happened... while I was writing this worked
    Thanks anyway

  • Unable to connect to the server of Web Services

    Hello

    I'm trying to implement my C310a for the first time.

    The printer is connected to my wireless router.

    My computers and iPads can access and print using the printer.

    BUT when I try to use Web tools

    (1) product update,

    (2) activate ePrint or

    (3) enable Web Services

    I get the error message USELESS "Problem connecting to the server of Web Services"

    I am able to connect to the Internet using a web browser, so I don't have an ISP issue.

    I'll put in place the printer at home behind a CGD24N wireless router.

    The implementation for the browser does not use a proxy, so I have no proxy information.

    Is anyone able to help.

    Thank you

    David

    I worked on it.

    I had put the impression of having a static IP address and did not address primary and auxiliary DNS server.

    Once he had these links now.
