  Hi and thanks... Videos out of my camera I'm just drag and drop to the desktop.  They are avi - cam is a Canon about a year.  Others are .mov of 3D software I use - Cinema 4 d. I save animation software in the appropriate folder.   Youtube videos are made with YOutube Video Downloader and files are for most .flv but others come too.

  All of these files open when doubleclicked and the name of the file is very large print at the bottom of the screen may be 4 seconds then fades.  I've not edited somehow - they are the first "raw" video camera or animation software.

  It is not consistent, but especially it happens only on one machine - Win 7 Pro with all the updates.

• Images not showing Up when importing from another photographer catalog

  I am an editor for a wedding photographer and I had this problem happens often, and I don't know what is the cause. I can see all the information behind the image, the ranking and if there is no previous editing on it, but the image itself is not displayed. The photographer sends on the catalogue, forecasting and intelligent preview. There are moments that all transfer perfectly and other times the images are not there.

  We tried to delete everything on both ends and start making sure that everything is done correctly, but it still happens. I tried to discuss with the support, but they have not been able to help. Whenever this happens, I lose money because I can't be their editor. We have both the most recent LR so it's not the question.

  How we are currently transferring Weddings:

  She takes is export as catalog with preview and intelligent preview. Once it's she will post the three files (catalogue, smart overview and overview) on Dropbox and sends them on. When I get it, I download the catalog of smart zip preview and preview of the zip. Once downloaded, I extract the prediction and intelligent preview. Can I go to file > import from another catalog... I click on the catalog file and select choose.  Sometimes it works and other times it does not.

  One of the problems is that you must do before you import your photos. If you have already imported them you have 'Delete from the catalog.

  It just open Picasa and click on 'People' select one person (you must do this for each person) and right-click and choose "select all."

  Then (assuming the Panel tags is open) put name it in the "Type in a tag to add: ' box and press enter or click the button +.

  Now just import your photos and ss14 (Photoshop elements 14) important all tags.

  Then you can create a tag under "People Tags" and use the tags imported from Picasa to reveal all their photos and then select all and 'drag' the new tag people on their.

  I even added a tag in Picasa, after I had imported and ss14 picked up on it then, maybe, you can do it after your photos have been imported. I tried, but I have 5000 pictures and think that I had just waited long enough for ss14 to 'see' the new tags. To understand this I used just a year with 150 photos and the name first a single tag (did everything I said above), then added a more who discovered ss14

  I try to import a catalog (travel images) in my main catalog.

  Using the file/import from another catalog, the option of copy new Photos again location and import does not appear in my options dialog box.  I can't find any user preferences specific to import that affects it.  I scoured Adobe LR help, nothing helps.

  If the trip catalog and photos are all on an external hard drive, USB stick or SD card the normal sequence is:

  1. Connect the support/device to the main computer
  2. Open the catalog main LR and click file > import from another catalog
  3. Navigate to and select your *.lrcat file or double-click on the file *.lrcat on your device
  4. Import from Catalog dialog box should open
  5. Click on the drop down menu to file handling
  6. Choose news copy Photos to a new location and Import

• How can I remove the originals, I don't like to take when importing from a SD card?

  Just installed LR3 with Santa. Have been going through the videos and the Lightroom_3_Help PDF and PDF of Lightroom-GettingStarted_Lo but I can not understand how to remove files from the gitgo simply importing from an SD card or from my HARD drive (files already moved on the HARD drive but not yet slaughtered or imported into LR3). I was hoping that I could, at the LIBRARY, just r/c on a file that isn't obviously useful to keep and just remove it so I mustn't do it later. Looks like I could, thus, be able to focus more on the shots requiring a change.

  Also, need suggestions as to how I would like to import my files using the DNG, Copy, Move, or Add. First off, I'm not a pro at work but am an occasional serious amateur. I'm picky and I like things look the first time and I like options.  The pix already on my HARD drive is in the IMAGES folder. those that are imported from the SD card are transferred to the PHOTO folder. I have, in the past, moved the verssions transformed to another DESTINATION folder - now I still have the originals and I've dealt with copies to show and share.

  I understand that LR3 don't ND edition but I guess that if I don't keep a DNG so anytime I want a JPEG or PNG image that I open LR3 to make a. Since I've been taking a few hundred pix per year (although this will change with my new D5000) I won't load to the top of my HARD drive any time soon. So, is there a way I can make a DNG file, keep the original RAW or JPEG file AND save a JPEG or PNG copy turned in my DESTINATION folder in one swell foop?

  There is no need to delete the source; Select the photos you want to copy the source into your library and apply metadata and keywords that apply to all, then back up the photos that are now in the library, and then only have to format the SD card. Using this method, you will never have to worry about the photos of the source should be deleted, you simply focus on which those that are imported. Your also always make sure to have two copies of your work at all times and consider make a third copy you should kee off site to maximize the availability of your data disaster (and don't foget the catalogue Lightroom itself!).

• Get Lightroom to Behave: import from a folder

  I have a structure of specific files that I use which is put in place. I create new folder for filming each day before moving to Lightroom to import images from a card reader. When I bought Lightroom, all I had to do is point Lightroom to the right folder of the import dialog that appeared when I plugged the card in the card reader. Now, Lightroom creates several subfolders in the "originals" folder where I want the images to go. This has probably to do with the way in which Lightroom is set up in the dialog box import, but first of all, I don't know how to get this dialog box not appear without going through pictures to import, that I have no right now and want to get it set up correctly for images will be new everything just go directly in the folder without additional folders being created. Is it possible that I can call this dialog, so I can see what settings there, without having to take pictures and insert the card?

  Initially, I run my custom interface process that inserts data from Bill inherited in AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE & AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE. Secondly, I run open Payable interface with the Source import process and the name of the batch as parameters. Invoice batch gets created with 'Pay group' & 'Account of liabilities' in the NULL fields. I don't have any problem in the creation of headers of invoice, the distributions and import 'Group' pay & "liabilities account" invoice header level.
  
  Can someone please make me how can I by default 'Remuneration group' and "Liability account", at the BATCH level...?
  
  Are there options of installation/profile to these default values... ?

  That's precisely what I'm trying to understand: you say "each vendor invoice has pay groups & liabilities at the level of the invoice headers.

  So why should the customer the same value at the batch level. Even if you have it at the level of the lot level header information replaces the batch-level information!
  Please clarify if I am missing something?

  I know that the addon will allow you to rearrange accounts, so you could put 'Local folders' over another e-mail account.
  It will also allow you to use files within an account.

  So if you have a Pop email account that uses the Global setting of the "Inbox", then it should allow you to move the position of the Outbox within this special account.

  But as the 'Outbox' is a 'Local folder' folder, I'm not sure that you can move it out of "Local folders" and reposition it on another account.

  The method for moving files is done via the menu bar.
  'Tools' > 'manually sort folders ".
  Select the folder and use "move up" or "Down" buttons.
  Then click on the button "refresh folderpane' to see the new sort order.
