  When I copy and paste a piece of another PDF file or HAVE, the layers were always reoganized. Most gone sublayer include their names, resulting in several layers and less organized.   Until yesterday, everything was well with the structure of folders and photo account.

  I am on a test of Lightroom and love it so far.  A seemingly simple task that I would try to move all my RAW files (which are all mixed with jpg and PSD to a new location and keep the current folder structure.)

  Currently I have strcutured files like this: < drive >------< year >------< month >------< Filename > .cr2 and I would like to move these < another disk >-< year >------< month >------< Filename > .cr2

  The export features look as if they will put them all in a big file?  Any ideas?

  There are several approaches to this problem. You can do this through Control Panel files in LR. You can do just about anything in the files Panel, you can do in Explorer or Finder. Just create folder and drag / move.

  Another way is to do it outside the use of LR Explorer (Windows) or the FInder (Mac). After you're done then go back into LR and tell LR where to find the moved files. Depending on how much you have, this could be a bit tedious.

  Another method is to choose the files you want, then export it in a catalog. When you do this, remember to include the option to export the negatives. Point the new catalogue to you another drive. It will recreate the folder structure when exporting. Delete the images of your current catalog. Do not drive delete just delete. Now import the catalog and choose the newly exported catalog. This time, choose the option Add files without moving them. If you are sure that everything is back and is very well, you can use the Explorer or Finder to go into your original file structure and delete files that have been moved to the new drive.  Be sure to choose only the moved files. If you are separating the RAWs this should be relatively easy.

  In the 'files' pane, right click on the folder that you see and select "show parent folder. Repeat if necessary.

• Use Lightroom to reorganize the Structure of the file

  I've been using Lightroom for a few years now, and unfortunately, I don't have a blueprint for good record when I started.  My portfolio is currently distributed between several portable drives.  I recently bought a Drobo, and I want to spend all my photos on this drive.  I would prefer that all my photos were organized in folders by date on the Drobo.

  Is there a way to have Lightroom move all the photos in a catalog on a different hard drive with a new structure of the Organization (while preserving all the changes I've done)?

  Yes, there is a way, but you must do it manually.

  First download LR to recognize your Drobo as a reader. Then - from in LR! -create the folders and subfolders on the Drobo.

  Then in the library Module's grid view go to ' all my photographs "(upper-left in the catalog Panel)-you could gave it a different name.

  Go > view > sort > Capture time. All your images should now be sorted according to the date and time.

  You can then use filters to filter all the photographs taken on a certain day / month / year.

  All these select and drag and drop them into your new folder on the Drobo.

  Do it with all your images.

  PS: It would be wise to do everything from in LR. If you create folders outside the LR and then drag the images in these cases also outside LR, you will get the message "missing image" galore and you spend a lot of time to score LR to the new location of your images. If you do everything for in LR, the catalog will be updated automatically.

  E-mail is synchronized automatically if you use IMAP on all machines.

  Address book synchronization can be achieved by synchronizing to a "service of address book based on the net. I use Google Contacts and the add-on gContactSync in Thunderbird.

  You have not asked about the calendar, but you can also synchronize the lightning calendar in Thunderbird for a service like Google Calendar.

  I am able to share email address books and my calendar between Thunderbird (under LInux and Windows 7) and also on Android based tablets and phones.

  If you want to do the hard, you can synchronize Thunderbird on multiple computers by porting its profile among them.

  You also might consider Portable Thunderbird running from a USB key and just get your email on your.

  I've created a brochure using Indesign and I want to save it as a PDF file and email it to people (if I don't want to print it) and thus it must retain the 'typical' folders structure (front cover of the single, then double pages and one page) - so I want to keep it exactly how I created it in Indesign.

  But if I export it I always get only the single pages (so double pages are NOT next to each other).

  I think there are two ways that you could do this and basically what it is is what Jason says - if you make sure that they have type corresponding doc, group security and/or account, they will be in the same folder.

  An idea - you can use WebDav and setup a contribution with these predefined metadata folder. Then it would be just a drag and drop or copy / paste just like on a network drive. All files/folders that you copy to this folder of contribution should be labeled with the same info and have fallen into the same folder.

  Just a thought... hope that helps, and I'm not far away from the base.

  Hello

  The best practice is to always identify root folder (/) in your paths. If you use a path without / Assets/images/img2.jpg for example, the browser will be able to find this image if you are somedomain.com/index.html, but if you are somedomain.com/somefolder/index.html, the browser will look for Assets folder, inside the current folder instead of from the root.

  We have an application that is deployed on weblogic application server and the Oracle of the backend database.

  Application generates various newspapers (not weblogic server logs), and on the database server, we also have a set of files on the server computer.

  We want that this connects to be configured on EM12c. such that a single platform all the different server log files can be seen together. (many different URL exists on the app and db)

  For the server database using the Oracle user; We have installed the oracle management agent. Now how configure us the server such as all the log files path in this physical folder will be visible in the console of EM12c itself.
