Import options preference?

I want to copy the contents of my SD card in a folder on my drive and then use the command import into LR. While the SD card is still in my Mac, I accidentally imported photos directly from the card even after copying the files on my computer.

1. When you import directly from the SD card, where the files are saved on the computer?

2. is there a preference/option for no turin on the import option when an SD card is in the computer?

Thank you.

By default the images are copied to your pictures folder when importing from an SD card. It will not automatically start the import, but it will be in the import dialog box if you have this option checked in your preferences.

  • Photo Gallery of window 'import' options shows a white screen

    De : Rogier

Message: I am running Windows Vista Home Premium and have a problem with the photo gallery. I can no longer change the import options. File-> Options-> Import, shows a white screen. This happens only to one of my user accounts, either one works great! I guess that's a result of PCTools Desktop Maestro of the recent registry cleaning. Someone knows how to solve this problem.

    From: oscar

If you used a registry cleaner, and if you have problems with some files of the operating system, then the fastest solution to this problem would be to open a new standard user account, transfer your files and records of personnel to this new account data, and then close the standard user account that has the corrupted OS files.

  • Missing live photo gallery import options

I used to be able to transfer my photos from my camera and they would put in a folder with the date.  Happens is no longer.  I tried to fix in the option 'other options' on the import screen, but who does not open.  I tried to fix in the import options tab in the program.  The import tab is grayed out, no options here!  I fixed Live Essentials, I uninstalled and reinstalled Live Essentials, but those who were of no help.  I run Windows Vista SP2 and all of this to date.

    Hi marinersr,

You don't mean that the import window is reduced?

You can develop that will bring to the top of all the options to import for you.

    Kind regards

  • I added a 128 gB microSD card to provide the space for my photos, (a second hard drive) but lightroom won't let me not import all the pictures that are already on the map. The only import option is 'copy', not 'Add '.

I had a problem with Lightroom on Microsoft Surface 3.  I added a 128 gB microSD card to provide the space for my photos, (a second hard drive) but lightroom won't let me not import all the pictures that are already on the map.  The only import option is 'copy', not 'Add '.  I worked around this by mounting a network directory containing photos and imported from there.  Is it possible to stop Lightroom to see such a map as a camera?

I have not tested, but it should work with Lightroom:

Not sure what happens if you remove the card and put in a similar SD card. I would like to test it so that you know what to expect.

  • Is there a way to "Show Import Options" by default?

When importing text, I would like to display to always be on Import Options. However, when I close and reopen InDesign, the check mark for options to import still goes. Is it possible to display the import still on the default Options?

If the check box removes the restart, then probably not, but you can change your habits and learn to select the file you want to import, and then hold down the SHIFT key and click OK.

I am running Mac OS X Yosemite, and when I place a picture, there is no import options boxes at the bottom of the window. As a result, I can't replace the images in the image block. I tried to delete my prefs, is there anything else I can do?

You should be able to use the button repeat the link in the links Panel to replace an image.

  • No "replace selected item" or "Import options" check the box

Hello, when I try to import an image in Indesign 2014.2 it seems the three checkboxes you normally see at the bottom of the import window (import options, change seleceted point and one more) are not visible. A known issue? And most important: a solution someone?

    Thank you

    Norbert

Reinstalled the program, it is resolved. Thanks for your time Peter.

  • InDesign CC - no import option when you place the image or text?

  • Import options and open the file freeze

When I click any option import (merge with Word, HTM, XPJ), the browser window does not open to allow me to select files.  This happens on all import options.

RoboHelp screen freezes and I get an error sound when I click on another option.  This forces me to press ESC to continue.

The same error occurs when I use the option to Open the file of the RoboHelp started.  If I use Windows Explorer to locate the project, I can open it.  If I click Open the file, I get the same screen freeze and no browser.

I'm working through the VPN.  Import works fine when I'm logged on the server of the company in the office.

Y at - it an option or a setting that I can choose to activate the file opened, Import > Word, Import > HTM or merge options via VPN?  I tried several login options and reviewed by security and installation of Windows files.  I'm totally stuck.

I use Office 2010 and RoboHelp 10; our firm uses Subversion, but the files are retrieved correctly.

As I said, I can import Office when it is connected to the network.

If anyone has experienced this before?

    Hello

Perhaps is that the window is in an area that can not be displayed!

Try this. When the window does not appear, press in and hold the Windows logo key, then press on maybe button arrow left a couple of times. See if the window is perhaps hidden and appears in the display.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Download "Importing Options" when you perform a drag-and - d├⌐poser place?

Is there a way to get the "Importing Options" prompt when you place an element in InDesign by 'Drag and Drop '?

    place.jpg

I think that if you use the bridge instead of the Finder, and you hold the SHIFT key while selecting the place in InDesign, you also get the import options. Not as simple as drag and drop, but easier to find your files in the Place dialog box, perhaps.
