Import/supression of a sequence in another sequence

Hello, I tried several times to abandon sequences completed in another sequence (MAIN), however, the audio does not matter with video.

Example: Edit sequence A and sequence B and want both in a new MAIN sequence before publication, etc..

When drag / drop in only the video is again the main sequence... which sucks.

Audio used to import the fine fine with earlier versions, but not with the cc.

Can anyone help?

OK, SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE difficulty. In my final sequence A1 has not been stressed.

Don't remember that even in situation to the CS6, but whatever... all good now.

Rookie mistakes when you are deprived of sleep.

  • Workaround for importing between cloned readers sequence is no longer works - duplicate clips appear anything

So we struggled massively with the eternal problem of the creation to have several editors working on the same project using cloned disks. To say the sharing of sequences is a nightmare is placing in slightly. We are on a feature-length documentary and our projects are massive, so we are importers of each and other sequences pray to God whenever it works without duplicating the main elements. The previous workaround solution to this if I wanted to, say, import a B training sequence on one of a sequence of drive, would be dupe of the project folder of the drive B, open it on a drive with drive B disconnected, reconnect all media in the project to their counterparts in the a drive, save the project, open a disc project and import the sequence desired my B drive project to chip away at. So many headaches that was, at least he tended to work.

Now, I've duped the player project B, and to my surprise he relinked automatically to everything on a disk without even asking. Great, good! It now seems to ignore the top-level name difference (beyond the names of Player A and B, the structure of the drive is exactly the same) and is able to connect automatically without asking from the main directory to the top. Except when you import sequences of this project automatically reconnected, he dupes now all single item in the sequence. I was pulling my hair out trying to find a way around it, as it is effectively grind our project together to stop right now. At the automatic reconnection, a feature that has been added with an unexpected consequence? Did anyone else encounter this problem and have you found a way around it?

For all he has foibles, I really think first is a great platform, but presents a caveat of insisting that the elements in a sequence reference key items in the project Panel, rather than just directly referencing the clips on the drive is prohibitive to the point of madness.

Problem solved through Creative Cow - it's as simple that importation via browser media and not through the command import. Because they are apparently the same process, not sure why we work and not the other, but I'll take it!

You use the file: import, and then select just the sequence you need.

  • CS5.5 AE can't import the RAW image sequence

    Hi all

I'm running a complete specification of imac late 2011, with a commercial version CS5.5.

If I try to import a sequence of images RAW (CR2) I get the following error: error After Effects: format of file Photoshop (-30504) error

I've updated AE and all other relevant software. It works when I tried it in AE CS6 (trial), it works when I convert the CR2 files to DNG files, but I just want to be able to import RAW CR2 image sequence.

Search on Google and forums for research has not helped a bit.

If anyone has any advice that would be much appreciated!

    Kind regards

You did not mention the source of your RAW files, but I'm guessing it's

a camera that was released after shipping CS5.5, then you need to update

  • Imported stills come in sequence

Sometimes when I import stills in my AE projects they come as a normal .jpegs or .psd.  Sometimes, they come as images of sequence Photoshop that I can't use.  There must be an element of preference that will allow me to overcome this type of import certificates?  If not, what should I do to work around this problem. I have AE CS3.  Thanks for any help.

You use any version of first - export to MPEG-2 DVD format and it will work in still CS6.

A fast rule to determine the bitrate is bitrate = 560/minute, and I usually rounds down a little safety margin. Or use a debit online calculator. It makes no sense several encoding time.

We can certainly adapt 2 hours or even more on a single DVD, but note that with the increasing compression, quality goes down. However, some content works very well with low bitrate, for example talking-head video type. If your video has a lot of details and action, then perhaps follow the suggestion of Ann, but is not a strict limit, to you how long you want to squeeze on a disc. Sets of two discs are not always practical. I shoot a lot of dance recitals that are more than two hours and they go on a single disc and look good, no complaints.

  • How to import files as a sequence with Camara png first corrections?

When I import sequence png files in AE (instead of 8 to 32 bits per channel) the filter Camera Raw opens. I'll do my settings for VC, but only the first image of the sequence shows the settings when I play the composition. How can I request the Camera Raw, the first image adjustment apply to the following fields of the composition?

If you get camera raw to open when you import a png sequence there is something non-standard about your workflow or your images. It does not really matter. You cannot really manually adjust each image in an image sequence and get what anyone but the flicker of the levels in the images. If you did something like Time lapse and you got different shows you want good trying to rank individual frames is a really difficult and almost impossible to do. There are a lot of tools.

The best approach is usually to just import the image sequence, then make color grading. The sequence of images should be sized prior to importation, so that the images are 100% scale in some parts of your project. If I were to create a model of 4K with a sequence of images of my DSLR and I wanted to fill the frame I would be scaling images up to 20%. That's a lot of lost time and you will get a better picture, better adapted to video, if you treat previously images in Lightroom or batch process in Photoshop or bridge and keep to the right size.

If you have you try to challenge it is a plug-in called Deflicker digital anarchy which does wonders. It's a little slow to render, but hundreds of times faster than the frames in a sequence of images individually calibration.

  • Why import AVCHD properly storing sequences map (SD card) while the same images completely transferred to an external hard drive imports only the video with no audio?

I shoot on a Sony Alpha a65 and it uses AVCHD when recording. I have not met this problem before.

I transferred the entire contents of a memory card on my external hard drive.

I tried to import the images from the hard drive, both using the import media browser-only video clips are imported with NO AUDIO.

I thought that I had corrupted images as my memory card was images of two different rods. I turned one on 2 October and the other on 15 Oct (approx.).

HOWEVER: I then tried to import directly from the SD card - and it worked! Audio, video and all.

I can change this being, of course, but it's a concern I have obviously can't keep the SD card only for this sequence forever - and backup to external hard drive will not audio. That might mean that I won't be able to pick up on it in the future, if necessary.

Can you help solve this problem – that is, with the film which is not imported correctly from the external hard drive or why something is lost in the transfer - and explain why this happens?

Please note: I tried marqueeing everything and do drag and drop, as well as select and drag / move, when you transfer the images from the SD card to the external hard drive. I'm using a Lacie Rugged 1 TB (firewire option).

  • Import and stabilizer the sequences of the Pro Pre AE CC CC.

Greetings to you all, sequelae and premiere Pro cc experts.  I have a question that is probably very easy to answer, but for the life of me I can't understand it.  I have some pictures that was bad shot that gave me and that runs approximately 60 minutes in length.  I need to stabilise about three minutes of this film in the middle.  How can I go to enter only three minutes in aftereffects to stabilize?  I have to cut images and restore while these three minutes?  When I try to import now in aftereffects and apply the function to stabilization, he tries to analyze the entire 60 minutes.  In addition, any help you can offer on how best to stabilize images in general would be appreciated.

You can cut the first layer and then copy and paste this layer in After Effects. Or you can use the import Premiere Pro sequence option in AE.

Alternatively, you can apply stabilizing Warp in first and move AE entirely.

  • Limit the number of images imported into the image sequence

    I use CS4 on Mac OS 10.6.7

    Hi all

My PNG sequences has 77668 frames but after Efects imports only the first frames 12133.    is there a limit to the size of a sequence of images that will matter to the AE.

If not how can I get the image entire seqence in AE.  I even tried selecting all frames by holding down the SHIFT key, but still it is important firstly 12133 frames only.

When I choose a subset of images after the 12133 I get the error message: After Effects error: could not import a sequence.  Don't find any match for the selected file name.  (39::40)

However if I import those same executives that only they come all EI, but they is not when the PNG sequence of sequences is checked.

"NOTE: I had added an extra" # "in the naming convention when I created the png sequence (.png #) default AE to #s.  the 6th addition caused a problem.

    Thank you

AE is limited to 32000 images per sequence because of the way the code of management of the numbering works. You can indeed make the worst situation by adding this figure outside. In all cases, you can only split the sequence to separate folders and import segments here...

  • Best way to import iPhone 4 video in first Pro CS5 - settings for the import of new "preset sequence?

Shooting video with my iPhone 4 (ATT version) and try to import the file into Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3) running on Macintosh OS 10.6.6.

The problem is that I am just guessing on how to import sequences, and the result is I'm getting artifacts of movement and generally lower quality.  I use iMovie 11 my basis for comparison.   Not surprisingly, iMovie 11 imports since iPhone beautifully, but when I looked around, inside the properties, there is not much to see.

Tips for the smooth search and * lossless * import/ingest footage in PPro CS5 iphone4.

You import it. that's all. First will (or should) use the file in native mode, so no need to do anything out of the ordinary.

To create a sequence for it, simply one of the clips slide the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel. a new sequence will be created that matches the sequence. Edit now...

    Welcome to the forum.

From CS5, Yes. Simply import the AV in PrPro and from the project Panel, drag it to the new icon, at the bottom of the project Panel, where it will create a new sequence to match. Nice trick, huh?
