  After downloading windows 10 to my laptop last week surprise, I can't scan from this upgrade and get the message that the scan to the computer is no longer available.   I'm sorry it doesn't - there are perhaps other issues (HP or Microsoft drivers and software) preventing to install printing software and works as expected.

  Migration from one operating system to another can be brutally hard on the file system.

  A few random ideas:

  When you try again - restart all:

  • Shut down / off everything, including the router (and all connected mobile devices) >
  • Leave the router (in condition off the coast) a few minutes > bootstrap router > wait a minute >
  • Start or computers on the network > mobile devices from start > printer start

  Remove any program of printing of programs and features

  Make sure that your Adobe Reader DC is on the latest version (and Flash, too)

  Printer's happiest with an Ethernet - and a static IP address if you have stability issues

  Run Windows updates several times after a migration; There are sometimes more than one session so that everything is loaded.   Check to see if you are ready to install the "other Microsoft" software with your Windows updates.  View history.  He tells you?  Not sure - always good to know what Microsoft adds to your system...

  Start (screen) > settings > update and security > Windows Update > Advanced Options

  If you are running McAfee security - you might need to update, reinstall it, or disable it temporarily.  (I don't really know this; I guess.)

  I am trying to help a friend who's HP TouchSmart 520-1030 hard disk is dead.  I have the HP support site, fill out forms to buy 5 DVD System Recovery Disk Set Kit for this system. He even asked for my credit card information. Only after that I entered all this information, the system told me that the recovery kit was no longer available for this system. I tried to download a Windows 7 from Microsoft, but because the key of Windows 7 has been an OEM key, they told me I'd get from HP. I called HP support and they said that they could not get the kit. I asked them if I bought a new copy of Windows 7, the drivers would be available at HP. The phone technology said he didn't know. I asked him if he could tell me how I could know, he says 'No, good night' and hung up. I was not rude or anything. Very professional, in my opinion. In any case, I'm stuck. I know that my friend should have the recovery disks, but it didn't. Does this mean that he should throw a 3 year, $750 all-n-one computer? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

• Stop synchronization of windows with the file is no longer available

  How to prevent synchronization of windows trying to sync with a folder that no longer exists? I'm working on a windows XP computer that had a network folder shared on our old domain controller. It was created to "work offline". This former DC has since died, but the XP machine is still trying to synchronize with him whenever he disconnects or connects.

  Unfortunately, I went through an upgrade of El Capitan to discover that Aperture won't open on my machine. I decided on a test of creative cloud w / Lightroom in order to see if I can retrieve my locked albums far and decide whether to pay monthly fees for the CC. There is a lot of articles about the use of the importer of Aperture plugin for Lightroom, but these links all lead me to pages of error saying I'm looking for does not exist or is not available with my account. If there isn't, then I'm not interested to pay for Lightroom. If so, great, I'll upgrade. Can anyone confirm if this works if I am a paid subscriber?

  I gritted my teeth and paid for the subscription of the CC with Lightroom and the plugin worked fine. No problem at all.

  I've recently upgraded to 4.1 CLI (VMware vSphere CLI - 4.1.0 - 254719.exe) and I found that the command to disable a vswitch network card no longer works. If I go down to CLI 4.0 U2 (VMware vSphere CLI - 4.0.0 - 253290.exe) the command works again.

  Is the command that I am trying

  vicfg - vswitch.pl - unlink vSwitch0 vmnic3

  Under the 4.1 CLI it returns no error, it just says:

  Update of uplinks: vmnic1, vmnic0, vmnic2, vmnic3

  and vmnic3 remains linked to vSwitch0. If I go down to 4.0U2 CLI the command works as expected and vmnic3 is dissociated. The command to bind a network card for a vswitch works well under both versions of the CLI.

  I've been through the upgrade/downgrade with the CLI cycle a couple of times and got consistent results. Anyone confirm that NIC untie is today broken with CLI4.1

  The reason why this happens is a problem with the input that is passed into the splice of the Perl operator. Looking at the source between 4.0 and 4.1, looks like they were a bug fixing and looks like they change the wrong section of the code.

  It is the junction takes 3 arguments, a table for arg [0], in compensated for arg [1] and the number of items to remove from arg [2]. If you look at the updated code 4.1, change the number of items removed from 1 to 0. This causes the change table draw and so you see that no vmnic is removed. If you change from 0 to 1, you will have the problem solved.

  What is even more surprising is where VMware has decided to change the code... If you look at the next 'if' statement, he said if there is 1 left vmnic of the table, go ahead and deleted... which is not what we want. The change should have been if we have 0 vmnic in the table, then the user must mean deleted the vSwitch and it looks like VMware engineers made the change in the wrong place.

  If there is value to vCLI 4.1 to take advantage of the new vSphere 4.1 capabliteis, this is the only change you need to do until VMware offers a real solution.
