  Suddenly, I have a problem importing photos from my camera in Lightroom 5.  The message I get, says file cannot be read.  I even tried another device to make sure that it wasn't my camera and got the same result.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have a mac.

  The problem has been resolved.  Looks like a setting has been changed and photos were sent to the wrong file when you try to import.  I think that the library.  Has been changed to the desktop.  Simple fix to a frustrating problem.

  Hi all

  I'm relatively new at first. I'm trying to import the M2V files from a Canon camcorder into the program. Everything works fine but if I find out my video on my desktop with Win Media Player the quality is fine but once I first imported the video quality has deteriorated slightly... can someone please explain what is happening?

  Is this something to do with the way things are put in place or is there something that I am missing?

  The workflow that you followed is probably like this:

  1 copy the files from the card to the camera via the USB port on the hard drive.

  2. open PR.

  3. import the clips from a hard drive in the PR

  4. slide one or the clips to the new icon of the element at the bottom of the project Panel.

  5. start to edit.

  For example, you specify that the device does not display the lock screen, correct? Do you use Touch IDS? If so, try to put your finger on the device to see if it's what he wants.

  Please follow the steps if you see black pictures after importation into Lightroom below:

  1. Turn off apply tone auto under Lightroom preferences settings

  2. restart Lightroom and then re-import images

• Problems with importing the photos in a sequence of images!

  Hi all

  Just at work and we are a big enough time photography project that another colleague and I are editing in Adobe Premiere. Having gathered a wide selection of images, we decided it was time to have a go doing a first edition. Opens the first and made a new etc project and have done a couple of practice runs with different pictures, but I opened the photos (file/import) and then tried to import all the images but I can't check "Image Sequence", which is grayed out. Anyone know why? I assumed it was due to the fact that it was their import on an external drive but I put them on the MacBook in order to ensure, but it would not always be to import them. I then tried to import less photos at once always for nothing doesn't.

  Be flat ideas just thought I would ask what I consider experts with more knowledge than me for a helping hand! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help you with what is a work project that I am eager to start as soon as possible!

  To import as a sequence of images, simply choose the first image in the sequence. Yes IMG_001 (or whatever your equivalent).

  I tried this on my mac and it worked fine using the same convention of naming as yourself.

  So, just choose the first image and the image sequence checkbox should be selectable.

• My camera has reached 9999 photos and started renumbering 0001 but in a different folder.  If I import new photos in iPhoto, the older photos with the same numbers are overwritten?

  iPHoto manages very well duplicate file names - each import is in another folder in the database - no problem

• Several problems of importation with the iPhone

  LR 6.2.1 on an iMac using 5 k late 2014, 4 GHz i7; 32 GB OF RAM; AMD Radeon R9; OS X EL Capitan 10.11.1

  This morning, I installed the update OS X El Capitan 10.11.2. This seems to have solved the problem: I'm able to import photos from my iPhone 6; He has been able to identify those that I had just imported as already imported when I tried again.  Just a note, the photos that were previously imported (several weeks) were not recognized as having been imported.

• Save the problem with Photo Story 3 on Windows 7

  I managed to install Photo Story 3 on Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit.  The program works until I come to save the project and then just before the end of the process 'save', the following error message:

  "Some photo story program files may be damaged. Re-install Photo Story 3 for Windows and then change and resave your project."

  I did it at least four times, with the same result. Any suggestions please

  ·         This is the first time that you try to save the project with Photo Story 3?

  You can completely uninstall the application and then install in clean boot state and check if it works.

  Possibly, you have made changes to your 'by default develop settings'. The default WB in Lightroom should be "under the shot" to view this selection has recently imported a file raw in the develop Module, click history in the left panel, click on the first import. (see screen capture) and then see what settings have been applied to import for the white balance it must be 'in the know '.

  Good reading, at least, of this section, "How to disable or enable all AutoPlay in Windows 7 and other operating systems" of this document - http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/967715 to see if that would help its. Although the document starts saying its for XP and later for Vista, it then expressly mentions W7 in this section.

  If still no joy:

  Not sure if this can help, or not - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/161443-autorun-inf-files-completely-block.html (the bit to unblock). I have not tried it myself, just found by a search. Backup your important data (photos, documents, emails, etc.) first JUST to be safe.

  I use Lightroom 3 with a MacBook Pro. When I "Edit in...» Photoshop Elements' I'll save the changed file in JPEG format in the same folder as the RAW file. But Lightroom can't see for me to import into the catalog. When I look in a window of Finder, I see the RAW, the PSD file and the JPEG file. But in Lightroom, I see only RAW and PSD files.   When you change in... Photoshop Elements and then create a BACKUP (not SAVE AS), the edited JPG is already in Lightroom. No need to import it.
