  Burn speed changes how fast your disc is burned and will not affect the final product. Combustion speed depends on how fast your burner is. The last track moves disc finalization - full, BUT the tab burn rest at 99% the indication is then No Disc in (E). Shows the tab burn insert a blank disc in (E). Nothing happens, the drive sounds like it is trying to eject, but it's not. If I try and eject in Windows Explorer, (after waiting for at least five or ten minutes), I get an error message saying error occurred while ejecting the DVD - RW (E). I can't eject the disc somehow, the program is obviously still running. My only and last resort, is to "shut down" for 8 seconds. When I restart, go to Explorer and touching "eject" in the DVD player, the disc ejects immediately, but is of course totally empty! I tried each "fix" I do not see in forums etc. nothing works. I ran Microsoft 'Fixit' again without success. Help please!

  Just a thought... There is a possibility that the burner has a bad laser...

• Impossible to burn CDs of data using Windows

  I can't burn a CD of data using Windows, even if I did in the past. I am still able to burn CDs of music via iTunes and the reader has no problem playing discs; However, when I try to view folder to a blank disc or attempt to add files, the computer does not respond. It shows the circle of rotation for a while and then does nothing. I tried updating the driver, but that did nothing.

  Since I am still able to burn a music CD in iTunes, I guess it must be a software problem rather than a problem with the hardware of the player.

  My laptop is a gateway, model MT6919 and I am running Vista Home Premium

  I suggest that you try to clean boot and check if it works.
  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  When I burn a CD that contains songs that flow into each other (ie: live music), I noticed a short pause between tracks.  How can I avoid this?

  Some CD, when some of their songs are ripped, can include one or more seconds of silence in the music file ripped after the end of the music. Other CD may include gaps of silence at the beginning of some songs. Many CD marks the beginning and the end of the songs with the introduction and the end of his audible on each track. The Player automatically adds a gap of two seconds between songs when burning audio CDs to avoid the next song begins immediately after the end of the previous song. Gaps of silence extra included in the CDS ripped music files can create, inconsistent pauses between songs. Since the pause of two seconds of the Player cannot be disabled, the only way to solve this problem is to use an audio file editor to remove the gaps of silence in the recordings of the song themselves.

  When you try to burn pictures on an HP 6250 on disc (CD) I get all the way to burn disc, but when I select "Burn" nothing happens. However, if I transfer the images to a flash (of pors E or F) drive and then upload them to my HP laptop I can 'burn disc without problem.

  Hello! I have the same problem. I'm trying to change info tracks on wmp and it doesn't even save changes for a second. It just goes back to 'follow' or 'genre', etc. the second I hit enter.

  I also tried to do it through properties in the files, 1. they are not the 'read only' files (checked only) 2. I make the changes, click on apply and then accept, return to nothing.

  Initially, he arrived with a couple of cds. but now, it comes up with everything I try to change. It started to happen about a month before, perhaps. so far, I was able to edit what I wanted. Any other tips?
