Impossible to delete a user?

I deleted a user via the Control Panel, but it still appears in the list of users in Windows Explorer. I tried to delete it directly from there, but every time I get a message that the folder is shared. When I try to change the shared option, I get an error message that says I don't have permission and yet I am logged in as system administrator?

I also have a message box that says: "the action cannot be completed because the folder or file is open in another program." The only folder located in the user folder is the folder Microsoft Office Genuine Advantage. I guess that is created when I took office. I have to move it to another folder?

Can someone give me a few simple steps to remove this junk folder of the user.

What you see, is an orphaned profile folder. Is no longer, it can be used by anyone. If it bothers you then you can do this:

  1. Press F8 at startup to boot safe mode.
  2. Logging in as an administrator account.
  3. Rename the Junk folder by adding a suffix to his name, for example Jack.delete
  4. Wait a week.
  5. If all goes well, remove the renamed folder. If this isn't the case, the original name of restoration.

I apologize for the display of either of them, because he has already answered threads on this community. I feel mine is a little more specific.

I recently had my laptop sent to work in a center of Dell, and because they did not actually to be repairing the system, but only a piece of the trim, I didn't think that they needed to my user password. Despite this, they have created a new user named 'Administrator' to access my system anyway. Now that all my system repairs are completed, I would like to delete this user.

In Control Panel, add or remove users and by selecting the new user, I not give me the option to remove. I found where I can use controls to remove it online or in WMI where I find the user and remove or its permissions. But there are 16 listed under users in WMI users and I want to make sure I remove the right and all its data. I renamed the user "Guest" if I can be sure that by removing the user named "Guest" in the WMI class, I will get the right pair?

My final concern is that this account cannot be deleted, but my main account can. Is this common? Or Dell somehow does take into account the main user for laptop? If I remove the "Guest" account, my account will lose the option should be deleted and I will still all permissions?

Sorry for all the questions, but I want to make sure that my system is always fully accessible to me.

All versions of Windows (at least XP, if not before) is a built-in account named "Administrator".  In Windows 7, the administrator account is disabled by default.

Apparently, your store of tech enabled the administrator account and then failed to turn it off.

Although you can't remove the administrator (by design) account, you can - and should - disable, which will take away from your home screen.

First of all, make sure that you have at least one - and two - preferably accounts of users who are "Administrators" - check by going to control panel > user accounts:

    • Open a command prompt (click the start ORB, type cmd.exe, right click on the link to cmd.exe and select 'Run as administrator' and respond as needed to the UAC prompt).
    • In the black command prompt window, type the following line and press enter
NET user administrator / active: No.
  • Impossible to delete a user created by error

The original user was 'Owner' and 'child' user has been created.  Worked fine since 2005.  May 2011 inadvertently creating user 'Owner.YOUR - F838.... 8BF.  Now on the screen connecting Kids and owner icons appear.  When the owner is chosen and entered password, the Owner.Your - F83... 8bf user is enabled.  The original owner has Admin rights to remove.  How I can connect to this original owner account so I can get rid of this inadvertent duplicate?

It looks like your original "owner" profile has been corrupted and the system creates a new profile with a similar name.

If I were you, I create a new profile "computer administrator" that is named something other than the owner (for example, Mom) and copy all the data of the corrupted profile owner following the directions below.  You can then remove the owner and Owner.xxxxx profiles.

The problem is, I suppose, that the Owner.xxxx profile has no rights "computer administrator."  In this case, you will need to log on to the built-in account named "Administrator".  The 'Administrator' account is usually hidden and still not intended for daily use, so that it can remain corrupt and available for use of emergency as in your situation.

In Windows XP Home Edition, you must restart the computer in Mode safe in pressing F8 repeatedly starting immediately after that turning the power on self-test (POST) is completed.  If you see the Windows logo, you waited too long to start to hit F8 and reboot and try again.  In Safe Mode, you will see an icon for the administrator on the Welcome screen.  The default password is blank (no password) - unless you changed it.

In Windows XP Pro, you can restart in Mode without failure or simply press CTRL + ALT + DELETE on the screen of welcome with no other connected users.  This will open the "classic" logon screen  Enter the administrator user, and again, the default password is empty.

    Hello, you who knows:

My OS is Vista Home Premium SP2 and I am the only user and

another administrator account, which appears as a different user on

Therefore, I decided that it would be a useless account for me to
    have created.
... How can I remove this 'new' alternate administrator account?
For some strange reason, Vista Home Premium doesn't have
an option 'remove' or 'delete '.

Can someone knowledgeable computer please tell me what I can do

    Dear noomene K,

What a beauty to hear from you again and to see all of your great advice!

Your instructions to cancel/hide delinquency counts that I myself
    created were certainly useful

... Unfortunately, and despite everything, the problem remains.

I therefore scoured Internet for some other answer and found a
prompt command, I decided to try.
-Says the command prompt: net user administrator /active: Yes, I have
used for the account I wanted to keep and continue to use.

-And then I went to the user account window that I wanted to cancel
and placed the command prompt: net user administrator / active: No..

Who took care of my problem!

But you gave me a few instructions very well anyway, and I really appreciate
    your help.

Impossible to delete iOS apps 10-pressing/holding icon just widgets for the app.

    Hi b. Bruce Brinson,.

I understand that you are having some difficulty to remove apps on your iPhone, and instead you see additional options for these applications. I know it's important to have control over what is on your iPhone, so I'm happy to help you.

From what you described, it seems that you use tactile 3D, instead of simply touch and hold for remove. You can see more info on tactile 3D and how it works here:

    3D Touch - iPhone

    Tactile 3D

Tactile 3D gives you an additional way to interact with the iPhone. On supported devices, you can tap the screen to see the previews, access useful shortcuts and more.

    Tactile 3D is based on:

    • iPhone 7

    • iPhone 7 more

    • iPhone 6 s

    • iPhone 6 sec more

For example, press a notification to the lock screen to respond. In Mail, tap a message in the list of the mailbox for a glance at the contents of the message, and then slide up to see a list of actions. Or press a little more pop the open message. In Photos, tap a picture for the look to it, and then drag upward to share or copy it; Press a little bit more far to jump the image in full screen. In this document, look for other examples of tactile 3D, which are marked with .

You can use Touch 3D on the home screen, tap the application to see the menus of fast action. For example, you can press the icon of the camera on the home screen, then choose Selfie take. Quick action also works in the Control Center. For example, press the flashlight, then choose a light bright, medium, or low.

Once you have an understanding of what is currently happening, try the following steps to remove apps from your iPhone:

Delete music, movies, applications, and other content to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

    Remove an application

    1. Press and hold the application until it stirs.
    2. Press on the in the upper left to remove.

You may be prompted to confirm that you want to delete the app. If you see a pop-up that says, "[application name] remove will also remove all the data," press DELETE.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. See you soon!

How can I permamnetly delete the user account in Windows xp?

    1. 1

Go to the control panel. There are several ways to do this, but the most common is to go to the Windows Start menu and click on "Control Panel" on the right side. Follow whatever it is more convenient for you.

    2. 2

Click on "user accounts" in the window that appears. Or, you see the standard view (with lines of icons) or the display of the categories (which is explicit). Both have a shortcut to the user accounts Control Panel.

    3. 3

If a control panel is not yet made, click the 'user accounts' Panel at the bottom of the window. If so, you can skip this step.

    4. 4

Click the link you want to get rid of any user account.

    5. 5

The next window will have a list of actions you can do for the user account, one of which will be "remove account". It is the action that you'll want to click on.

    6. 6

The last window that you will see will ask you if you want to keep the soon-to-be-used user represents the files in a folder on your desktop. It's your choice here.

      • If you have already backed up all important data on this user account, you can safely click on 'delete files '.
      • If you do not, you must click "keep files".

  • Deletion of user account for disk space

    Dear Sir or Madam:

Deleting a user will represent to free up more disk space on Windows XP?

This situation applies to Windows 7 and Windows 8?

    Please reply back soon.

    Thank you.

A "user account" in itself takes up very little space.  But once the user first logs on, Windows creates a 'profile' so that the user who can occupy a lot of space.  The profile includes all files used on the user's desktop and files under "My Documents" folder of the user (among others) which may be quite large, but includes everything what preferences and user files.

In Windows XP, you can see the amount of space used by each user profile to:

Right click on "My Computer"-> properties-> (Advanced tab)-> settings (in the user profile Section)

If you have permission, you can select a profile and click on the 'Delete' button to free up disk space.  He recreated the next time the user logs on but delete everything that the user files.

In Windows 7, the same screen can be obtained from:

Right click on "Computer"-> properties-> Advanced System Settings-> (Advanced tab)-> the settings in the user profile Section.

I have windows XP & buy a new laptop with windows 7. How can I remove myself from the old laptop so that they don't get my email & files?  I give my computer to the family member.

You could do a clean install, so there's nothing left from when you use, or you can create another user (admin) then go on this user and delete your user, so that all your files would be gone.
