  • Windows does not recognize the USB flash drive

    Hello
My USB does not work when I plug. It seems that Windows recognizes the device because it is found in the Solution Explorer window, but if I want to create a folder or a file on the USB key I have the following message:
    "Cannot find this article.
It is no longer in < %3="" null :="" optext=""> . Check the location of the components and try again. " < br=""> also the files that are copied to the USB flash drive are not visible in Explorer and it looks like the drive is empty.

I want to emphasize that the same (Kingston) USB flash drive works perfectly under Windows XP operating system on another computer so it may not be a problem with the device. The same problem also appears when you use a different USB (another manufacturer).

    Thank you!

    Hey, 101 a.

, I just posted a fix I found for my USB flash/go to work again.  It was a very simple solution, too.

I unplugged all USB devices first, then tried my USB jump drive again.  IT WORKED! I've narrowed the problem to the new printer that I use.  It's a Mono Dell Laser MFP 1125.  Whenever it is plugged into a USB port, my USB doesn't work.  All other devices work, but not the USB is the printer is connected

I don't know what done to block the flash/USB key, but unplug printer allows the jump command to work again.  I will contact Dell on what did the printer driver to block the flash player.  Just an info on the fix I found.

  • Win 7 Backup and Restore does not recognize the USB flash drives.

Win 7 Backup and Restore does not recognize the USB flash drives for a backup image or a recovery disc.  Given that Windows 7 Starter Edition is used in many, if not most of the netbooks and netbooks have no optical drive, support for flash (thumb) drives would be very handy, especially for repair and recovery.

  • WiFi connectivity weird when I plug in the USB Flash drive?

I found this WiFi connection problem a few days ago, when I plugged a USB Flash drive in "USB port right side' of my MacBook Pro.

Every time when USB , WiFi won't work - the connection is lost and can not connect to any hotspot even turn the WiFi market.

I found more weird, ONLY this brand and model key USB could be the abnormal Mac WiFi.

This problem will not happen to another USB port even I put the Flash drive in the left side, USB port, weird isn't?

Conclusion, this flash drive cannot be used with USB port on the RIGHT side, another USB port works fine. If WiFi don't work.

All other USB devices I've owned are working very well on the USB ports on the right or left side.

Could Apple support or any helps me to understand why this happen?

PS. I had the Apple's Diagnostics and received a message "no problem found".

PS #2. Right - same USB port side and next to the HDMI port on MacBook Pro 13 "model 2015" (snack for someone who confuse average left or right)

  • Laptop HP 17 p100: how the usb flash drive big that I have to create a system of 10 Windows Recovery?

How the big usb flash drive do I need to create a system of 10 Windows Recovery?

    Yes

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

There is really no way accurately guess in advance, with one of the reasons being that the options are available when you do this.  An option creates a recovery drive minimum with what is needed to repair the operating system.  Another option creates an image that is able to completely restore the operating system and its partition.  Thus, the size can vary from 4 GB to the size of the partition to the OS.

Myself, I found as build-in recovery to be unreliable, especially those of Ms.  So instead, I use a third-party imaging/restoration solution known as Macrium Reflect.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

My experience is that SIR, when you use the option of Compression high, typically allows to compress the image file recorded at about 50% of the space USED in the OS partition.  This means that if you have a 40GB and 80GB OS partition is used, MR must only about 20 GB to store the image file.

I use all the time and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to make the backup of the image and at the same time or less do a restore.  In addition, MR has the ability to add a recovery Boot Menu entry.  This then allows you to boot into Windows re, and then you can use it to do a restore - when you cannot start Windows!

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Good luck

  • I lost memory to the usb flash drive space, help me please.

I formatted 2 gb usb flash drive, and now he has 247 MB of available space.
in computer SCIENCE, I chose flash drive (E), then right-click on it and choose FORMAT.

    Hello

    1. What is the number of brand and model of the flash player?

I suggest you plug the flash drive on another computer running on Windows 7 and check if the problem persists.

You can try to format the drive falash using MS DOS and cehck if that helps.

    (a) click on the start menu

    (b) prompt to type in the start search bar (run as administrator command prompt)

    (c) type "format [drive letter]:" at the command prompt, replace "[drive letter]" by the letter of the drive you want to format.

    (d) then press the Enter"" key. Note that the drive letter must be followed by a colon - for example: "format c:".

    (e) support on 'Y' If you are prompted to confirm if you want to erase everything on the hard drive. Confirm that you want to continue. MS-DOS will start to reformat your hard disk and all data

    on the disc is erased.

If the problem occurs on another computer as well, then the issue may be with the flash drive corrupted, in this case, you can get in touch with the manufacturer for assistance.

  • Vista backup cannot reuse the same flash drive

How can I reuse my flash drive to another backup? Vista knows it has been used before, even if I deleted the old backup.
    thanx

    Hi Joy77,

Is there anything else being stored on another flash drive backups? Otherwise, you might save a few headaches and just format your drive.

    Warning

    • Formatting a volume will destroy all data on the partition. Be sure to make backups of all the data to save before you begin.

    • You cannot format a disk or partition that is currently in use, including the partition that contains Windows.

    • Quick format is a formatting option that creates a new file table, but do not completely overwrite or erase the volume. A quick format is much faster than a normal format, which fully erases the existing data on the volume.

    1. Open Computer Management by clicking on the button start , clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools and then double-click computer management.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2. In the Navigation pane, under storage, click Disk Management.

    3. Right-click the volume you want to format and then click on format.

    4. To format the volume with the default settings in the dialog box format, click OK, and then click OK again.

For more information about the formatting of a partition, see create and format a hard disk partition.

  • Satellite A200-1NF needs time to read the USB flash drive

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-1NF, model No.: ETA 6-055021FR works with Windows 7.

My problem is that my USB is plenty of time to read the USB keys.

Could you please help me to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

Sorry, but for me the question is not clear enough... Satellite A200 recognizes the connected USB MemoryStick?
If he recognizes the USB device connected, then everything seems to be OK.

By the way: you said that the laptop needs a lot of time reading the USB...
How long does it take and have you checked if the number is displayed using different USB ports and different flash memory sticks?

If this is not the case, what to do
