Check that your computer meets the system requirements on the packaging of the product. My friend has the packaging of the product. This is the model 1383. IntelliPoint 8.2 will not detect the 4000 Wireless Mobile mouse
I'm running Windows 7 pro 64 bit on a mobile workstation Dell M4800. I bought a mouse Wireless Mobile 4000 which is supposed to have programmable buttons. I went to the web page of material/downloads and downloaded Intellipoint 8.2 who is supposed to be the software for this device. The software installed with no problem, but it will not detect the mouse and I can't program the buttons. On the devices tab, the program detects the touch pad mouse and Dell (listed as compatible mouse HID). The mouse works with the basic functionality, but I need to program the buttons
Hi John,.
If you have installed the correct versions for the mouse, then, it could be a problem with the mouse settings associated with the soft keys.
For confirmation, this is the link for the latest driver:

The lost Microsoft 4000 wireless mobile mouse transmitter!
I lost my transceiver "mouse Microsoft 4000 wireless mobile. Can I use my mouse without transmitter/receiver?
No, the receiver is a necessary element of the mouse.
They are paired single so I do not think that you will be able to replace separately.

Have a new laptop with Windows 7, ASUS Intel-i5. Initially, the automatic installation of my Wireless mobile mouse 4000, which I had used with XP, has worked. Only problem was that the mouse was stubborn, when you attempt to left click: i.e. get something - and persistence was needed to get there. Now I can not at all to a left click. Tried all resolution of known issues, left click procedures still dead in the water.
Anything with moving parts end up by wears. I've had several byte the dust. Speaking of the dust, maybe the dust and mold were inside. Invest $4 and find out.

Hi Mark,
What antivirus application do you use?
It is suggested to install the security updates. Follow the methods suggested below and check to see if they help.
Method 1: Run the clean boot.
To do this, follow the steps in this link:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
NOTE: After you check the clean boot feature configure Windows to use a Normal startup using step 7 proposed in the above mentioned link.
If the method above does not work, proceed to the next method.
Method 2: Try to install the update of security for Windows Vista (KB979687) manually since this link.
For 32-bit:

Hello
I searched a bit on the Microsoft page and found this knowledge base article:
+ * You receive a "error 1603: a fatal error occurred during installation" error message when you try to install a Windows Installer package * +.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/834484Article Microsoft said that the error message appears because only:
+ - File that you try to install the Windows Installer package to is encrypted. +
+ - The drive that contains the folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package is available as a replacement player. +
Account of + - the SYSTEM does not have the full control permissions on the folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to. You notice the error message because the Windows Installer service uses the SYSTEM account to install the software. +I recommend that you check this document and try the workaround provided by Microsoft.
Maybe it helps
Good luck.

Receiver Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 causing BSOD
It seems to be a growing crowd of users affected by BSOD involving the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouses. I, for example, have the WMM4000 on a 32-bit Vista computer. If the receiver is unplugged, instant BSOD (error IRQL-type). Even in this case, at the time, the laptop will hit just the same BSOD error on its own.
Is there a definitive answer for fixing these mice?

I beg of you. These related to the SynTP.sys Synaptics Touchpad Driver. I would like to re - install the latest driver available.
You also have a driver that is known to cause called c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys of aft (ALcohol120 or daemon tools). Which must be removed and replaced.
Please remove the viewing programs of CD such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.
They use a driver, are in your dmp, called c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys, which is known to cause a BSOD.

Connect a to a USB MS receiver Logitech K520 wireless keyboard and a MS Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000
Is it possible to connect a keyboard to a receiver USB MS Logitech K520 wireless and a MS Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000... all performed on a Toshiba Satellite L455 with Windows 7 Home Premium?
The wireless mobile mouse works, because she and the USB receiver are two Microsoft, but we would like to get the wireless keyboard to connect too.
The keyboard 'works' in that the green light... but only for six or seven seconds and then turns off. The keyboard passes no to the screen during this time, response.
Thank you in advance.

# They are both two different and opposite manufacturers.
The K520 seems to use unique from Logitech Unifying receiver and Microsoft has their own receiver technology.
