  I'm unable to install Adobe Illustrator CS2 on my mac (OX Yosemite 10.10.3) because it gives the error "The Installation HFS disk no is not supported." However, the drive that I installed is HFS + and should be able to withstand that. In disk utility, I confirmed that the format is Mac OS extended (journaled), what is HFS +. I also ran check disk and disk utility repair disk, but both showed that the volume seems to be OK and I still couldn't install Illustrator.

  What version of Illustrator? If it's CC, then you need Adobe Application Manager, also called creative cloud. All of the CC downloads arrive via this application.

  I've long used lightroom and photoshop cs6 for several months on this system successfully.  A license through the creative method of cloud - who, before today, worked OK most of the time.

  From today - I have huge problems that I can't move.  When I run the photoshop application I get a message indicating that I have 30 days remaining on a trial subscription.

  If I try the link to the "software license" dialog request for serial number.  As a creative cloud subscriber, I don't think I've ever received a serial number.  If I try the link which

  says "Sign up now", I'm going on a web page where one of the options is the signature as a member of creative cloud.  I can do it but it does not help somehow.

  Run the Creative Suite cleanup tool, let the AAM to reinstall from scratch. Be careful with updates. There was a bug in one of them that casues this behavior. Apply only to the 13.1.1 was last updated.

  I installed Illustrator from Adobe CC a couple of days, it worked fine, today not simply open. No more than the cloud of Creative Adobe Panel. InDesign and Photoshop seem alright, but with Illustrator, I can't even the window during initialization to pop up. I tried to download the executable file again and it seems to download, and then hit "run" just does nothing. So I can't even reinstall. Baffled.

  In the end, I moved my laptop somewhere else where I could access the internet through an unmanaged network, and I could download and install illustrator very well.

  'Download Support Advisor' is a generic error, and we need to understand what is causing the problem. Most of the time, its a problem with the download was not successful or downloaded correctly.   Please check, if you really deleted applications Adobe (including Adobe Reader etc) and the caps.db is deleted. It can be found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\caps. It records everything installs / uninstalls, so if it #s still here, he would still have information about previous CS4 stuff that could adversely affect obtaining CS3 on the system.
