• Impossible to move objects in InDesign CC

  I recently installed InDesign CC so it would work very well except that I can't click and drag anything.  Whenever I try to use the selection tool to move an object that I placed it just does nothing.  It can change the size of the frame very well, however.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall, as well as screw up my preferences. I can move an object with the arrow keys, but it's annoying as all escape. Is it just something wrong with my computer or is there a way I can fix this?

  The CC 2015 fixed this bug.  When I updated I could move everything very well.

  So I just installed Illustrator CC, I have now on a trial license.  An hour ago, Illustrator suddenly began to refuse to move objects, while I'm in the selection tool.  I can move objects in the free transform.  I use shortcut keys a lot, so it's really slow me down.  I hit 'V' to click on and then move an object, and then it won't move. I get the error sound, but no dialog box appears to explain the error.

  Because I'm about to bite the bullet and start paying a hefty monthly fee for this program, at my trial runs out, that's enough aggravating circumstances.  Anyone has any ideas what can cause this?

  Looks like there could be a hidden modal dialog open. Hit the ESC key does nothing to release the objects?

  I did a series of forms such as the joint, then I select the outdoor square shape and I chose to edit > paste inside the shape. Then I group all the rooms that make up the forms and I want to move it to a lower part of my document, but when I do that the image does not come with the shape and text.

  Sound of a gun! I have been concerned about this possibility, but I saw that align controls worked well. I didn't know that orders space evenly would behave differently.

  This seems to be a flaw in the application. For this reason, you would better align and distribute the elements of the layout first and then adding the images later.

  Nevertheless, here are some ways that you can deal with this issue, at this stage:

  • Distribute the elements visually, according to your eye. The arrow keys to move an object in one direction, by holding down the SHIFT key to move larger increments. In addition, now the shift will force motion if the displacement of an object using the mouse or the cursor.
  • Using mathematics. If you select multiple objects or groups on the Web, you can see the total width and height they occupy in the property inspector. You can then use your knowledge of the width/height of every item in them to distribute digitally, by hand.

  Try turning off the preview and zoom out as far as you can go.

  I'm changing my library to my current user permissions and although some of my files are fine, a bunch of them throw the error message: "Permission error - impossible to enumerate the objects in the container. Access is denied. "When I try to change them.   Here's how I solved my problem-
  1. on the root folder, right click, select Properties, select Security tab.
  2. click on advanced

  I see also folder property can be changed to "everyone" - I have not tried to change all owners of my file to this, but doing so may eliminate the problem altogether if the drive is moved to another computer.

  All of a sudden every time I try and move any object - image, text etc. box... I get this error... and when I click OK, the program stops.  Makes it really hard to actually do any work.

  Chances are that the image is the same size as the document. You can either add Web Image > canvas... size , use the crop tool and do drag outwards to create more space, or reduce the size of the image ctrl-t or command-t then scale the image inward.

  I use Illustrator CS6. When I select an object and open the window move (either by pressing the Enter key or by selecting object > transform > move), I try and move the object at a given angle and at a given distance. I leave horizontal & vertical dialogues empty and just fill the information for the Distance and Angle. When I press OK (or copy), nothing happens. In all previous versions of Illustrator, this feature worked perfectly. I can't make it work in CS6. What I'm doing wrong or what setting I'm missing? Thank you

• CC Illustrator crashes everytime I move an object

  Last night my CC AI started crashing every time I tried to move an object. I tried all the different files with the same result.

  I have run all the updates of all of my Adobe software and rebooted several times. I have UN and reinstalled I. I tried earlier through a previous thread for a similar problem with CS6, restart in safe mode.

  With this last reboot, the program seems to manage moving, but now everything is unbearably slow.

  Suggestions for what to try next?

Is there something like a key to hold, while Illustrator includes I want to spend the already selected object only? Given that it is a 100 times daily task and I can't always to lock / unlock any other layer I work too... Although I could, but that could slow down the work 100 times, because it is not easy to identify / turn on each layer in the layer list, whenever I take another object...

  This situation occurs generally when the object to move in preview mode is completely hidden behind other objects, otherwise only by clicking on the artboard, selecting in the layer panel, unlock or if it.

  [Edit2: in addition, if the stacking order of the object should be kept, you can organize it in front of the battery with Ctr + shift +], or to move on the top layer highlighted, cut Ctrl + x and paste up Shift + Ctrl + v.

  And according to your view and zoom level cut Ctrl + X and paste Ctrl + v may be used after pan in the center of your view instead of that want to move the object.
