  So I just installed Illustrator CC, I have now on a trial license.  An hour ago, Illustrator suddenly began to refuse to move objects, while I'm in the selection tool.  I can move objects in the free transform.  I use shortcut keys a lot, so it's really slow me down.  I hit 'V' to click on and then move an object, and then it won't move. I get the error sound, but no dialog box appears to explain the error.

  Because I'm about to bite the bullet and start paying a hefty monthly fee for this program, at my trial runs out, that's enough aggravating circumstances.  Anyone has any ideas what can cause this?

  Looks like there could be a hidden modal dialog open. Hit the ESC key does nothing to release the objects?

  I have recently updated CC to 2015 on my Macbook air and have a class project, I try to start but I have a problem with objects in a file. I am able to resize them, but NOT move them to a new location in the file with or without a frame.

  Sound of a gun! I have been concerned about this possibility, but I saw that align controls worked well. I didn't know that orders space evenly would behave differently.

  This seems to be a flaw in the application. For this reason, you would better align and distribute the elements of the layout first and then adding the images later.

  Nevertheless, here are some ways that you can deal with this issue, at this stage:

  • Distribute the elements visually, according to your eye. The arrow keys to move an object in one direction, by holding down the SHIFT key to move larger increments. In addition, now the shift will force motion if the displacement of an object using the mouse or the cursor.
  • Using mathematics. If you select multiple objects or groups on the Web, you can see the total width and height they occupy in the property inspector. You can then use your knowledge of the width/height of every item in them to distribute digitally, by hand.
  • Here is an interesting workaround: create a new layer and the "trace" each object below using the rectangle tool.   Both x 64 and x 32 crash when I move objects, I can use quick boost with arrows and transformation to change the size.

  But do not use the mouse/keyboard SHIFT and change the size... or just move an object with a mouse.

  I created a new documented and pasted all and re-recorded. That fixed my problem. If something must have gotten corrupted :|

• Impossible to move markup objects [iOS]

  When I open the application initially, I can move markup objects (drawings, comments, text, etc.). But as soon as I add text, I can no longer interact with the document except to zoom in or out. This includes text selection or move objects in markup.

  I have experienced several times and the result is the same: if I close the application and then open it up, I can initially move and resize objects. But as soon as I place text, I can only place new items, not interact with any existing ones.

  Please try to update the Acrobat application. The latest version is 16.03.15. I tried the workflow with the Player app update and it works fine.

  d. scroll down the list of programs currently installed on your hard drive. Click on the entry "iTunes" and then click on the button 'delete '. Click 'Yes' when prompted to confirm the decision.

  e. click 'No' If a window appears prompting you to restart Windows XP. Look for the entry 'iPod Updater' in the list of programs.

  f. click on the entry and then follow the same procedure to remove the program. Restart the computer.

  It should be possible to select the container framework that you pasted the Group and to access the menu:

  Object / selection / table of contents to select this group and remove it.

  Also by using the layers panel to select the Group stuck to the inside and remove it.
  (InDesign CS5 and above)

  Something else, if it is really an object group, is to select one of the items in the group, then press the ESC key to select the whole group.

• How can I use applescript to move objects to a specific position on the page?

  I have a PDF file with a bunch of items of text on each page, but the margins are irregular.  I want to automate the following process:

  1. Select all the objects on the page

  2. move objects (such as a group, i.e. preserving their arrangement relative to each other) until the upper left corner of the object of most of the top-left {. 67 ", 1"} from the upper left corner of the page.

  3. go to the next page.

  4. Repeat steps.

  I work on a mac, and I see that Acrobat is scriptable using Applescript.  Is it possible to do it with this?  If there is another way to describe this process without Applescript, I'd be open to that as well.
