  No, but you can use different components in the available packages which are Open Source however the necessary basic elements for virtualization are not Open Source or a part of the Open Source packages available.  Suggest you read VMware Workstation 8.0.2 and player 4.0.2 Open Source License for more details.

  I try to open a PDF in Chrome - I open it fine in Adobe Reader if I download it. When I open it in Chrome, I get the message I have to accept the EULA and revive to open the PDF in Chrome.

  I reinstalled Adobe, restarted Chrome and it works fine in Safari.

  When I go to the applications folder and try to open Adobe Reader (which is different from opening a PDF file I recorded on my Mac). The menu bar appears but is not the "Adobe" "empty" file - nothing happens but the menu bar.

  I searched all the stinking forums and nothing seems to work. It seems to be a persistent problem dealing with simple workarounds.

  I do a CD a collection of PDF files. I created an index to catalogue (.pdx) with Acrobat 9. I also created a title document with Acrobat 9 with a button that executes the action "Execute menu item" that opens the index file of .pdx for research of the collection through the action command "open-> % path % < Filename > .pdx. Everything works find when this CD is run on a machine that has installed Acrobat. I get a message asking if D:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe can be launched and I say OK, and then opens the search window. When I try this action on a computer with only Reader 9, I get the message asking if D:\...\AcroRd32.exe can open the file. When I say OK, nothing happens. If I rather double-click .pdx, OK open search engine. I would like to distribute this CD so that the search button works with either Acrobat or Reader installed. Thanks for any input. GP -
