Impossible to rip a CD

When I try to copy a CD OK starts with "pending" against each track but in a few seconds, the word "error" appears on each track and the CD is rejected.

Can anyone help please?

  • Impossible to rip the CD using WMP 11 in WAV format. Ripping starts but the CD eject and no error message.

I use Vista and Windows Media Player 11.  I'm trying to rip a CD in WAV format.  I set the extraction options to create the WAV file and write the wav file in the c:\temp\wav folder.  I want to compare the file size and sound quality.  When I insert the CD, the extraction process seems to start (I mean start to turn up), but it stops and the CD is ejected after a second or two.

I won't have any trouble to create WMA Lossless files.

I also tried to use Windows 7 and WMP with the same results.  No problem with WMA format but exact same results when you try to create the WAV.

UPDATE: I tried two different CD extraction before asking this question and got the same result for two CDs.  I just tried a different CD and was a success.

Any suggestions why some CDs and others not?

Thanks for responding.  I tried both ' activation automatic ripping ' and initiator ripping manually.  In both scenarios, I checked the "Eject CD after Ripping".  Same results.

It seems strange that the CD can be the cause of the problem, if I RIP in .wma without problem, but I can't rip in .wav.

  • Impossible to rip a CD or create Playlists

If you try to read, burn or sync an item that is in your library, the element can point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted. »

Similarly, if I try to create a Playlist I get the following message - "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem during the creation or recording of the reading list."

  • When I go to rip a cd I get message saying that windows is not able to accomplish this task.

When I go to rip a message from windows cd is that it is not able to accomplish this task. also when I go to change where I whant recorded music it is empty and I'm not able to open to choose where to save it. Windows Media will play music, but that's all

    Hello from the McCanns,

    Thank you for the question!

I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the ripping. As I understand it impossible to rip a disc and get a message that unable to accomplish this task.

I need to ask you some questions to help you best.

Method 1:- You may be able to complete the rip by turning on error correction.

In Windows Media Player -> click Tools-> Options -> peripheral, click the CD burner, choose > Advanced and set the error correction on it.

Method 2:- There are two ways to change the rip while settings in the Player library. You can insert a CD into your CD-ROM drive and clickRip settings, or you can click on the Rip music tab in theOptions dialog box. The music tab Rip in the Options dialog box offers additional options that are not available in the Rip settings menu.

To extract music from a CD, follow these steps:

a: For best results, make sure that you are connected to the Internet before you begin.

When your computer is connected to the Internet, the Player attempts to retrieve information from press about the tracks being ripped from an online database. The player then adds the information to the files during extraction.

Note that you can rip a CD when your computer is not connected to the Internet. However, the player will not be able to identify the name of the CD, the artist who created it, or the names of the songs until you go online.

b: insert an audio CD into the CD drive.

c: (Optional) If you want to select another format (for example, MP3 instead of WMA) or bit rate (for example, 192 Kbps instead of 128 Kbps) for files created during extraction, in the Player library, click the Rip settings menu and then click on Format or the quality of the Audio.

d: (Optional) If you do not want to extract from each song, in the Player library, clear the check boxes next to the songs you don't want to extract.

e: Click the current playback orRip CD CD Rip button in the library of the player to begin extraction.

  • RIP a DVD

I have a House for movies on DVD that I can play through Windows Media Player, but cannot pull them up on the hard drive or on an external drive.

Am I right that it is impossible without having to download specialized software? If so, which? Y does it have to avoid?

All the tips are greatly appreciated.

All, the only difference, he made was that I finally managed to remove the double extension and leave the .mpg only. By clicking on the file opens Media Player that says play now but it does nothing, it's the same for VCL. The file appears in both, but does not open.

I just check the option I disabled previously.

It seems to me that this process wiped my office. I need to check.

    ==================================

Some VOB files are not playable.  Maybe you could

Check them all in VLC to see which ones play.  You

right click on any VOB file and choose VLC Media

Player and if this is the video to play.

Not sure what you mean on the desk of wiping

But if some parameters have been changed accidentally you

could do a system restore to a time before you start

This project to undo the changes.

Your original request was to do this without

the installation of third party software and that's what I tried to

provide, but it does not work.  The best is maybe to one

Google search for ripping the DVD and see what you can find.

    Good luck...

  • Can't rip CD on Windows media Player

Hello, I'm using Windows Media Player to rip a Cd. This is my Cd I paid for it.

When I insert the Cd in the tray it should automatically pick the Cd and find the 'Album' info when I right click on the Cd icon and select "find album info".

    This isn't.

The Cd I am tearing is "Psalms read by Alex Jennings. This is an audio book. It is the 4 Cd set.

The first result of the search is Jennings Jennings 13 titles. It is impossible to find a Cd with the right amount of titles. the Cd has 38 tracks on Cd 1.

Why the search engine cannot filter all CDs without the right number of titles. I think that Microsoft has left this long outstanding issue.

It is not the first time WMP miserably failed with the utility "find album."

Can someone enter the search terms and try themseles please?

Try 'The Psalms Alex Jennings' without the quotes and see what you get.

Windows 7 Ultimate on a Sony Vaio laptop.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Personally, I can't believe that Microsoft is ignorant of this weakness in WMP. I even bought mediamonkey to try to sort out them. There can be no.

I understand your concerns because I stayed clear of iTunes, until I bought a system of audio broadcasting in January. Quite by accident I discovered that this was by far the best player for streaming, and it has a library easy to use really too. As researcher W7 user I can assure you that I had no problem with it.

The only other way around your problem would be to conclude everything manually, and then if you missed a setting somewhere wmp can go and "update" it for you with all the wrong information... I had that happen too, it is so boring!

    Best - R

  • Impossible to update flash player

Using Windows XP, Firefox 39, desktop PC. I also can't update the latest version of flash player (18.00.209) after MANY attempts. Installation stops at about 50% and then he said: "the Installation failed. I tried download from different sites, that you have disabled the protection against viruses, closed windows browser etc... and get the same results each time. The installation is NOT complete; as a result, I am stuck with the 18.00.203 vulnerable vs, which Firefox has disabled unless I allow it. I am very uncomfortable allowing my 18.00.203 flash player with security issues; However, many sites I visit use flash. I see on this forum, people who know the same update problems; Therefore, it must be a problem on the end of Adobe. I'm so frustrated and would be grateful for any help. I feel that I was in a circle of hell with the directions of installation, all that I have followed closely. I usually put the same installation troubleshooting pages over and over again still no resolution. It's my first time here, so, maybe someone has a solution. Please, I beg you!

Finally, success in updating Flash - a complete accident, but I'll take it! First of all, I checked for malware/viruses...no problems. Then - and this is what seems to have done - I restarted my computer (in general I leave all the time). As soon as he started, I went to FF to 'check updates plug-in' and I saw that Adobe Flash has been miraculously updated! I went to a few flash pages, everything works. At no time during previous attempts to install I was warned to re-boot. Just the installation process stops at 50% and then says 'Impossible' (without reason). I don't know yet why a 'failed' facilities took after a reboot, but this is what must have happened because I did not seek another installation after reboot - was not necessary.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your suggestions and admonitions to update at least to Windows 7. Need a new computer so I didn't want to waste her time with this one (7 years) just get up and keep this as the storage offline and photo processing. He is a computer to measure, the best I've owned and the more stable with my XP. Yes, I know it's time to say goodbye to the old stuff. The small computer shop that built it won't even install Win 8 unless customers insist - they install 7 because it is easier to use and more stable according to them. So you see, it is difficult to rip away from wrong platforms Windows XP users. Maybe they'll have learned something to win 10 - I even Apple due to the terrible browsers that Windows has imposed on us. I don't mind the change, if it's good change.

In the meantime, I'm HAPPY to finally have a flash player update, at least. I met their requirements, so it wasn't my XP that was the question, because that is supported with the new flash. I'm really grateful for the wonderful offers of help in this forum. Try to reboot to others as a possible solution.

    Sincerely,

    Donna
