Impossible to run a program as an administrator

I have windows 7, I try to run a program and it know the I did not have high enough privileges to run the program, I have to be an administrator.  I am an administrator on this computer.  I did prompt net user administrator / Active: Yes and log in as the administrator account he created and ensured that I had full access to the program folder and I can't always run the program

  • can I run all programs as an administrator?

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, 32 bit.  This is my own PC, I'm the only user.

Can I somehow put a profile or similar so that Windows KNOWS I'm an adminisrtator and therefore always running programs as administrator and do not promt me, ask me or force me to specifically "run as Administrator"?

I am an engineer so I can follow the instructions, I just know little about the Windows settings and changes from XP to Vista to Windows 7.

    Thank you

    Hi Colin

The prompt that asks you to elevate a process with your admin privileges is not designed to be irritating, it is designed to protect you. It's called the component lower privileged user.

If you have used computers for a few years, you'll remember the Blaster worm, I Love You virus and many other infections viral major that has infected tens of millions of computers around the world and these millions of computers to lose their valuable data. The main reason for that what happened was because everybody ran Windows XP with an unprotected administrator account.

These malicious files were received in emails, or downloaded to the unsuspecting users computers by something as simple as clicking on a Web link. Strongest antivirus software programs were not able to stop these infections, initially. The first thing that would make these infections would be to take transparent on the administrator account on owners computer access to the entire system.

In Windows 7, all administrator accounts run as standard users unless the user (or an unknown element) initiates a process that requires administrator privileges and that is when the system will ask you the logged on user for these privileges. This makes the control to the user and allows to approve any elevation of the administrator.

Many of these same virus writers are always out there infecting older versions of windows and they also use their social engineering skills to convince unwary users that Vista/Windows 7, one click solution is right there to irritate people, and too high a price to pay.

This is your computer, but only until you beat intentionally integrated security components. It is up to them.

Edit: If you ignore the UAC prompt for a specific program that you run frequently, the information contained in the link Andre.Ziegler post is a good solution, because this implementation of a program requires administrator privileges. It still runs the program in a secure environment.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Windows 7

  • How to run a program as an administrator on a standard user account without be prompted for the password

I have this software that doesn't work correctly than if you run it as administrator.  When you run it as administrator on the standard user account, it asks you the password.  How you turn off the prompt for password for that one software only? Or how you also run a software Administrator without being prompted to enter a password?

    Thanks for your help.

    Matt,

Since you don't have a Vista Home Premium, I found another article that describes a way to get around it to make a registry change.

    The following Web site:
    http://www.eCoustics.com/PCW/HOWTO/140134

Vista Home Premium is not the Group Policy Editor. To make the changes in this version, you must change the registry. Before making any changes to the registry, back it up following the instructions in "block Cookies for spying, but keep the most useful" (scroll down to the area of blue text at the bottom of the page).

With your backup of the registry in place, click Start, type regedit and press ENTER. In the tree on the left pane, navigate to Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. With the icon system selected in the left pane, double-click on ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin in the right pane. Change the data value to 0, then click on OK. You should see the effect immediately (no restart required).

Not sure if this will help, but thought that I have it send your way.

    Thank you

  • If you run the program Setup 'Run as Administrator', executable runs with high fees?

    Hello

Installer of LV chose "run the executable at the end of installation.
If you run the installation program "Run as Administrator", the executable runs with high fees?

    Best regards

My apologies - configure when the installer to "run the executable at end of installation", it will run this executable with the admin rights because the installation program itself requires administrator rights.

LabVIEW installation program can create registry keys for you.

For your more advanced customization (e.g. selection modules), you have to look different (e.g. InnoSetup) using a solution of installation or you would need to write an executable in LabVIEW that you run after installation that allows you to select the Setup programs you want and run them using System Exec.

In my school, the servers had locked and the only account is a Standard account. Is it possible to run the program as administrator. When you right click, run as admin option doesn't show up. Is there a way to do this?

If you hold down the SHIFT key as you do a right click, see if run it as an option in the contextual menu Manager has been added. Then opens the dialog to enter the administration username and password.

  • Administrator privileges, can not uninstall, impossible to run as administrator

    Hello
I try to uninstall a program, and he said 'you must be an administrator to remove this application. To remove this application, you can log on as an administrator or contact your technical support"or else he says"you don't have sufficient access to uninstall x. Please contact your system administrator. I thought that maybe I had no ownership of the file to uninstall so I found the folder of the program, right click Properties, then advanced, security, then the owner tab. My profile name is displayed and I click on edit, but it says in a window of Windows security "cant' open access control editor." access is denied. "

OK, so I'm the administrator as I have only one user account. I then tried to follow this advice, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows7/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile, on a corrupt user profile setting, but ran into problems. I notised that anything with the shield symbol reacts when I click it, that is, under user accounts, click on "Add or remove user accounts", but there is no reaction. The same for the change of name of the account, type, manage another account and change user account control settings.

Also, I tried to start in safe mode. He has successfully uninstalled one program (peerblock) but for the other (private tunnel) says it is not accessible in safe mode.

I have just tried to run programs as an administrator and a similar error occurs - "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

I uninstalled some programs a week ago and tried others just a few days back which is when I noticed the problem. So, in general, my problem seems to access anything whatsoever with administrator privileges.

    I am under W7 32-bit.

I hope this is enough information.
    Kind regards.

  • How an administrator can run a program on all computers on the network?

Can I run an executable from an administrator account on all computers on the network?
    :)

If computers were members of a domain, it would be possible to define a strategy broad area to run a program as a specific user on all the computer when you are connected. It would be a TI Pro number and you'd better post on MSDN or TechNet forums.

When the computers are not on a domain each individual Director for computers are all separate accounts. Running a program on a computer as a user of another computer will be permissions issues.
