  Hi all

  I have a MacBook Air (11 inch, mid-2013) with Yosemite 10.10.5. Latest version of Safari installed is version 9.0.1.

  When I opened the app store, it shows an update for Safari 9.0.3. When I click on update, it downloads the update, then installs updated day, and then said "Installed" in a box grayed out for a second or two before returning to the update option. When I initially tried update as well as some other updates (Firmware, iTunes, etc.) the computer says that it could not install Safari because the download may have been corrupted. But since the installation of each update separately, I did receive this error and Safari is the only thing that will not be updated.

  When I open Safari or "Get Info" on the app, it always shows the version 9.0.1. Here's what I've tried so far:

  -Logged out and Apple ID used in the AppStore (Apple ID is not required for applications Apple anyway)

  -Deleted all caches to deploy and ~/Library/Caches, restarted, trash emptied, reessayes

  -Tried to install startup

  -Fixed permissions (fixed several things, but one that linked Safari.app question recurring guard even after having been "repaired")

  -Disk checked for good measure... no errors

  -Update folder AppStore cleared in/Library/Updates

  -Remove all AppStore associated implements cache using terminals, by "open $TMPDIR... / C ' and ' open $TMPDIR... / T.

  Download page for Apple software doesn't have this update to download manually. The only step I can think that I have not tried is simply reinstall Yosemite. I'd rather not do that since I work in a school and the network is not always the greatest. In addition, Safari works totally well on version 9.0.1.

  Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:
