  Turn off the WiFi connection and go to an area where you have a clear link with the 2G (EDGE) and follow these steps:

  Well hallelujah, is a tech BB saw my post and fixed a few BES script, or, I solved the problem by changing the setting in the options to "HIDE MESSAGED after HAVING REMOVING", I think it's the only setting I changed and I don't know if fixed it or not, but its not working as it should now.

  I loaded the Software Desktop including Desktop Manager v4.7.  When I connect my "BOLD" via the USB port of my PC, the PC recognizes the new hardware and identifies it as a Blackberry Smartphone.  But when I launch Desktop Manager, it does not recognize the "BOLD", and at the bottom left of the window shows "Connected Device (PIN): No."

  Thank you, but the problem was solved when I used a different USB port on my PC.

  Help - I have my head in half way inside an oven gas in despair.   I tried to get on my PC BlackBerry Device Manager to recognize my Storm for a week now.   I uninstalled and installed a trillion times without change.   I tried the USB key in a number of different sockets.   Today, I got my Storm at the phone store.   Their PC instantly recognized the storm using the same USB cable!   Can someone please tell me what is wrong or how I can fix this problem without a hammer?

  2 BES (Blackberry Enterprize Service)

  No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

  Go to profiles > up to advanced > press the menu button on a profile > edit > change everything you want and add a ringtone for this feature.

• "BOLD" of Smartphones from blackBerry WiFi problem: was not associated with the network

  All of a sudden I have a problem connecting to my home network with my "BOLD".  The "BOLD" detects the signal to my network, but when I try to connect, I get the error message "Network partner failed."  I checked the WEP code several times.  And I have connected to the network several times in the past.

  Acutally, although I did a battery pull, your suggestion gave me an idea.  I restarted my ethernet hub, and now the "BOLD" connects to it again.  Not sure if this is what he does, but it does not work so I'm not going to question him.

  I finally went down the notifier by removing just the battery (re-boot, if you can call it) and did not have a probem since.

  Hi all, I have an old SIM contacts on this issue how would synchronize these contacts on the phone, so I did not hasve to spend hours typing all contacts

  Unfortunately, it's just how it works. SIM cards have a much less robust AddressBook that does the BB; they store an entry to a phone number. As such, when they are imported into a more robust address book (as BB), you end up with this result. The only thing to do is to get in a PIM on PC (for example, Outlook) and make handling it, then re - sync back to the BB and it's going to be clean again.
