  If a system is officially expected to receive Windows 8 depends on various factors, including when the device has been manufactured and not only the sold date. Much of this is based on internal tests of Windows 8 units. If it turns out that Windows 8 does not play well with some hardware components, then it cannot receive official Windows 8 drivers and software. The reason is that the reputation of Microsoft and HP go up on the user experience of this laptop with Windows 8. HP said it is registered for Windows 8, so he was not properly tested and delivered a bad experience, then that user HP and Microsoft will be tarnished based on the bad behavior of Windows 8 and incompatible hardware. Unfortunately, this often happens with major operating system changes.   I did some further research and found that, if the worm Software Digital Voice Editor 3.3 is compatible with Windows 7 OS, the recorder itself is not compatible with Windows 7 OS.

  OK, if your computer works well here is how to save a huge amount of disk space and is sure to do. In your Start Menu, open computer. Check your free space, take a note. Right-click on OS(C:) et choisissez Propriétés.) Click Disk Cleanup and wait for it to complete the calculation. See the list of available items to remove.   I'm not familiar with Vista, but I suppose that similar to Win7 you can use the XP drivers and install them in compatibility mode:

  I just do the Windows 10 Pro free upgrade. Everything seems to work very well; except for this problem.

  Whenever I simply close and re - open the lid of the portable computer, open windows are resized.

  Most of the windows are restored to where they started, but they seem to ALL have been resized and then sized to their previous location. You can tell because that minimize / restore windows can't remember the last full size you used.

  It's probably a bug; but something made the stop switch resolution:

  In the display settings, I put the scale slider to 100%.

  In the advanced settings, I clicked on Set A Custom Scaling Level; and I put IT to 150%.

  And now the scale seems just like setting the slider to 150%... but there is no resolution switching! No windows jumping around, and nothing strange seems to happen!

  So for now, this actually seems to work as expected! It MUST be a bug here...

  You don't need a special usb driver. It is part of the main chipset driver and eventually the operating system itself. If you have problems with the usb ports does not work, it is most likely hardware. However, one thing you can try is going into Device Manager, all that can be uninstalled, the uninstall usb devices, restart and allow drivers to recharge. When I have a laptop with usb problems I boot from a Linux Live CD or a pen and see if the usb ports work with Linux. If yes then your Windows is corrupted somehow. If this isn't the case, then it is material.
