Inaudible in headphones

Hello

I'm new to Logic Pro X (until recently, I've used ProTools) and I seem to have a problem with the audio tracks.

When I record an audio track (Microphone: is X 1, new Audio interface: Avid Fast-track Solo) and read through my headphones (plugged into the Fast Track Solo) all my tracks of MIDI instruments come through fine but the audio recording is barely audible although if I solo it I can hear very faintly. I don't have this problem when playing through my speakers also connected to the interface. The same thing happens with audio recording too; I cannot hear anything through my headphones however I can watch it in my speakers.

I guess the problem is with the logic because I never had this experience with pro tools using the same interface. Also, nothing seems to change on the screen when my headphones are connected (it still says that the audio plays at the same volume and the waveform does not change).

I use an iMac (retina 5K, 27 inch, mid-2015) running El Capitan and the latest version of Logic Pro X.

If anyone can help solve me this problem it will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I also noted that I tried another pair of headphones and encountered this same problem.

I was using a phone LG Optimus L90. A primary use of my smartphone is going to be like a music device. The L90 was very good, with the exception of a drawback as such, the speaker was in the back of the phone. Recently, I came to realize how well LG sets up their phones. I find that I can't do without at least a LG, mono audio output characteristic, and since my audience is slightly lower in the left ear, I could use balance between the L - R channels as well. These two parameters are on LG phones in general settings in the section under the heading of hearing accessibility. These settings are there to help people with hearing impairments. It is admirable of LG, nevertheless that it confuses me greatly to know that these settings are not the standard Android adjustments available in the sound settings section. I am not hearing impaired, but I have a strong preference for listening to music in mono in particular when listening through headphones. I don't really like music that was arbitrarily divided into channel components, that is not the way I listen to music. I listen to a lot of historical records that were not particularly well rendered in stereo. Yesterday I listened to one of my favorite artists. This guy was ahead of his time, in harmonic and rhythmic terms, but he played with a rhythm section of his time who were mediocre, at best. It is the type of stereo Audio on my LG L90 has been defined. and the music sounded terrible. Stereo was separated on the drummer, almost all alone in a channel he used brushes making its very sharp, distracting, if not downright annoying, as it was just time for maintaining a way boring and repetitive. The music sounded so terrible, and I love this artist so much, I've adjusted the audio back to Mono so I was driving home in the car. He did an enormous qualitative difference in the listenability of this track to the drummer in the group where it really doesn't have its evil. This is just one example. In general, I find mono more reliable for music playback, so I would probably put audio in mono and leave it there just to avoid experiences like that I just described. If you want me to expose on the theory behind my preference for mono audio output, I do reluctantly. But here's something to consider for Google and Motorola. I find that listening in stereo through headphones is very distracting, unpleasantly awkward for me. Now, have you ever heard of the distracted driving as a result of the use of the cell phone? This is the big problem.

In any case, to continue, I am disappointed that my new Moto G 3rd gen doesn't support mono audio output. Frankly, which is a deal breaker for me because I use my smartphone to listen to music, and I find stereo headphones to be distracting, unequal, unbalanced and often inaudible. I'm not thrilled about installing buggy 3rd party applications like PowerAmp, or using clumsy from stereo to mono plug adapters. Regarding the latter, is there a problem with impedance matching when you use such an adapter? Another concern is that mono audio output audio stereo WRT with loss? You know, I saw a hack for Mono Audio Out in less than 20 lines of code (on XDA). Why Motorola cannot provide a fix for this? Stereo/Mono is a fundamental parameter for listening to music. And throw into the balance between channels from left to right while you're there. I feel that LG is the only one who has any common sense in this regard. It makes no sense to produce a listening complex as the smartphone device and provides no user choices listens to Basic.

So, in practice, for this device works for me as I want, I need to root it. Is it not so?

  • Static headphones on 15 Inspiron 7000 series

Faint (but sensitive) static when using headphones (or perhaps inaudible through the laptop speakers).

The static method is not more strong with the increase in volume and only ceases when the volume is muted.

I updated but also uninstalled and reinstalled the sound drivers with no luck.

    Any suggestions?

Assuming that you hear the sound while using the Realtek audio driver. As a test, install the driver audio Windows native.

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER) and right click on Realtek High Definition Audio.
2 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    3. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    4. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    5. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    6. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio'.
    7. click on "next".
    8. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
9 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.

Test the headphones Jack. If no noise with the native driver, then this is a software problem that can be helped with a future revision of Realtek. If still noise with the native driver, there may be a hardware problem. I can't think a good specific test to confirm it, but you can report the problem to technical support.

Invert names in steps 1-6 for getting the driver from Realtek.

    Hi oramicle,

On the device that you have a problem? I also have this problem on the iphone 6 s. On two different helmets. It's certainly iOS 10.x, because I don't have this problem on the same device and helmet on iOS 9.x. I sent the bug report to Apple with this description:

After some headphone output (jack 3, 5mm) at the moment does not work on iphone 6s 128GB, iOS 10.0.1 and 10.0.2 - no sound from the headset. Volume controls and MIC still works. When I make a call with the headset plugged and tapping on the microphone, I hear sound for headphone listening, but the others its not. No noise in other applications. Restart the temporary fix of the device this problem.

  • Running w / HR monitor AND headphones wireless w / Apple Watch 2 series

Since obtaining Apple Watch series 2, I've been out running with wireless headphones Powerbeats2 alongside the screen TickR HR, both related to the watch simultaneously via Bluetooth. While this works great, I wonder if I can do even better and lose the style HR chest strap monitor. Has anyone had success with wireless headphones that double as a monitor of human resources (e.g., Bose Soundsport Pulse), and specifies how was the heart rate?

    Hello

Apple Watch includes a heart rate sensor built-in.

If you have not already done so, you can try to use this instead of an external monitor. When you use the application of the workout, the heart rate is measured continuously during the training:

In this case more than 50% of the time until now, in fact I would say more like 75% so far. Sometimes its fixed by pulling me on the adapter of the lightning and put it back in the phone.

Today, I put through a few tests in-depth using three different sets of headphones and had the same problem with all of them.

    Anyone else having this problem?

I'm having the same problem also. Pulling on the adapter of the lightning and reintegrate them into the port seems to solve it, but then happens again next time you receive a call.

I used two different sets of headphones with the same results.

The remote control also do not work and can not adjust the volume of the call.

  • High-end non apple headphones does not properly with iPhone7

I just bought the new iPhone 7 and discovered that my ear Bowers & Wilkins do not seem to be compatible with my new phone.  The sound works fine but the microphone and stop working after a pause control more then a few minutes.  I thought it was a question of headphones, so I have replaced, but still the same issue.  So for example I connect my headset into the adapter (supplied by apple), launch my music application, press play on the phone and the sounds of beautiful high definition comes out.  I can then press pause on the microphone control, press a second time to play and it works fine as do volume adjusters.  However, if I press pause and wait a few minutes, the remote control on the speaker cable does nothing.  The sound still works if I hit 'play' and 'pause' on the screen.  As soon as I unplug the headphone jack and plug back in, the remote works again, until I pause for a longer period.  It seems to stop responding when asleep screen and pause mode.  I disabled the screen lock to see what is happening.  Now pause mode for more than five minutes, the remote works but the screen stays on!  If at this stage, I turned off the screen (paused).  Two minutes later, distance mic and controls do not work.  So certainly associated with iPhone screen go to sleep.  Does anyone else have this problem or the solution.  This problem will not occur on the iPhone from my friend 6.

Apple is aware of an issue affecting the controls on the headphones by the port of lightning and working on a fix.
