  • Satellite M305D - built in microphone and headphone problem

    Hello everyone...

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite M305D - S4830. It came with Vista Home Premium x 64. However, I reformatted and installed Vista Ultimate x 64 (commercial version). After you have installed all the drivers on the official website of Toshiba, I discovered two major issues:

    1. the headphones do not work. When I plug in, the laptop speakers are always on, play the sound/music. So to connect any type of headphones makes no difference. I should mention that the headphones were working with pre-installed Vista Home Toshiba Premium x 64.

    2. the microphone does not work now. However, he has worked with pre-installed Vista Home Toshiba Premium x 64.

I have to mention again once I installed all the official drivers from Toshiba Web site form. In addition, in Windows Device Manager does not list any problem. Windows seems to believe that everything works correctly.

Any help would be really appreciated, because I really want to use Vista Ultimate.

    Thank you...

If this notebook has a Realtek Audio card and Realtek audio settings in the Panel try to check all the settings there.

If I remember well there must be some option under Audio i/o. check it out.

By the way: try to find the solution on the Toshiba U.S. forum under http://community.compuserve.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=ws-laptop&redirCnt=1

  • Noise humming in my headphones problem

    Original title: humming noise problem

Salvation for months I had a strange humming noise coming from my helmet from time to time and its so frustrating because I tried to change the card incase its that I tried to update the drivers of sound and there all day as well as my graphics card and this is not help please do not what I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

It is also quite possible that your problem is not software partner. PC produce a lot of electrical interference and this could be the cause. It can be difficult and frustrating to contain, but to consider things such as:

    -routing of the cables of electrical equipment and wiring headset;

    -turn off all but the bare minimum of electrical devices nearby;

    -try (borrow?) a pair of headphones which are armoured;

-l' use of a power conditioner on the power supply to the power supply of your PC (UM frequency - usually 50 or 60 Hz - associated you wall outlets transferred to the speakers is often audible).

  • Yoga 2 Pro: plugged headphones problem

Alrighty, I have a lenovo yoga 2 pro and I recently noticed something really weird. Whenever I plug my headphones on one side (left side) will play the music louder than the other side. At first, I thought that it was my helmet but, I tried my helmet on my iPhone and it worked perfectly. Any suggestion guys? I'm 100% sure that my helmet is not broken. I tried with several other devices. Another thing, I noticed, (haha actually typing this out) when I unplug the headphones, it seems that the music I play comes mainly from the right side (right speaker). Suggestions or simply do I ship my Lenovo Yoga since it is still under warranty? Thank you guys!

  • Headphone Jack, not to let the two devices at the same time - work Realtek problem - Dell Audio is unusable

A copy of my post TomsHardware, where no one was trying to help:

"To begin with, no thread any where online have solved my problem. My problem in the simplest possible terms:

-J' bought a Razer right headphone, it does not work when it is connected.

-J' spent the next 4 hours of downloading, re - download, install, uninstall and reinstall the Realtek drivers, because everybody says I had allow a setting or a related subcontractors as struggling separate devices or something, and I do not have the Realtek HD GUI; at least, I don't think so...

    - Then I discovered that Dell has decided to replace GUI from Realtek with "Dell Audio", which had two options, one of them being that it should even display settings or not.

-J' took a few steps in Dell Community site and spent the Realtek driver with the Microsoft driver, and that got the headset to work.

-My headset works fine, but the microphone is not yet detected.

What I have relevance: right Razer headphones + microphone detachable; Dell Inspiron 15 w / only, audio unified; each unique Realtek and Microsoft audio driver compatible with Windows 8.1.

What I don't have: the Realtek audio Manager.

What I wish I had not: Audio from Dell.

Someone please help me on this, because I have just fired over $100 for it, and I intend to use it for professional players and podcasting; no microphone is not cut it.

Sorry if I look really angry at the moment, but I think we've all been there...

    Thank you. »

The main issue: there is a definition of Realtek Audio Dell only exists to ban, I need to change that. I need to configure it to allow two different devices to use in the same decision, and Audio Dell replaced Realtek GUI with its own, which is pretty... Pretty useless. The two parameters, as there, one of them is "Show advanced settings", so congratulations to anyone who decided to do this monstrosity.

Every post that I found online said that the Realtek HD GUI is the way to go

Since you can't have the DD Realtek Audio Manager in a Dell, one wonders how they determined it was the answer.

My question is how to get all these other people. I think that probably they were not talking Dell laptops and their solution applies to some other manufacturers products.

Please provide another way to separate input devices that are entered into the same outlet

A headset devices are already separated in the properties. A helmet is an input device, microphone, which can be set as the default device in the properties (Control Panel > sound > recording tab > micro). It is for the internal microphone until an external microphone is connected. The other part of the headset, the headset is governed by sounds > playback > speakers. Who controls the speakers until the headphones or external speakers are connected.

    Inspiron 15 3542

Thank you. I wanted to know because a couple of the Realtek drivers have a problem with the headphones or the part headphones headphones. Headphones are recognized by their impedance detection and I think that some of the drivers have their settings come down a little, or too narrow. None of the Realtek for the Inspiron 3542 versions are known to be bad for me, but if you get audio in the headphones using the native driver but not as the pass of the Realtek driver then I feel that the fault is with the Realtek driver. You can see all the drivers that comes from Dell for your model in the Inspiron 15 3542 html page. There is audio for Win7, 8.1 and 10 pilots. "WB" means 8.1 and 'WT' 10. I think that there are 2 of each. Try the two for any operating system you have. (If you have10 which, in itself, could be the problem - other people have said they have started the headphone problems when they installed 10) You should not try to install an older version of the driver on a newer version. First remove the newest one in the control panel.

It befuddles me that Dell would give us a different GUI that has so few options

I don't know if Dell Realtek & made that choice for technical reasons or something. I think that some of the laptops did not have the Realtek Manager when Dell has started using Realtek as a supplier, but that changed. Of course no one is happy to have fewer options, but yours is the first post, I've seen that reported to the mic. Many other posters have been unhappy, because Dell's Audio Manager does not provide a way to separately control the volume of the headset which is a problem because they can be much too strong, but the real Realtek Manager has an option to display ' phones as a separate device from the speakers.

"and I used an adapter USB jack to try my usual Microsoft LifeChat headset).

Is an adapter USB jack of the same thing that the USB input audio in my previous screenshot? A usb plug avoids the problems of the Realtek combo decision-making because the USB does not use Realtek hardware or driver from Realtek. Headset LifeChat know either, but if they are a usb headset while they should work. USB audio devices are as separate sound cards - each device contains its own audio codec, even the small usb Jack. If a device usb audio does not work, it has nothing to do with the hardware, driver or Realtek Manager.

each response that I get from either Razer themselves or now these forums was condescending.

Your two posts today have assumptions that make it difficult to formulate a convincing answer, but I I don't think I'm condescending. I try to avoid the annoyances that we see in so many forums. However, they are your feelings and you have a right to them.

When I said to forget taking combo, I wasn't brushing off the problem, while recognizing that these mic combo jack issues are difficult, in large part because we can't use the native driver to test the Realtek driver, so we can't easily determine if it is a driver or a hardware problem. It is much simpler to use usb audio, but as I said I don't know what are the special features are required for your purposes of pod casting.

  • Pavillion laptop laptop 15-1b010nr: Pavilion Notebook 15-ab010nr headphone issues

Hello, I just bought this laptop at HP online, and everything seems to work perfectly EXCEPT when I plug my headphones to listen to a "video, say on FB", or for example, ' big brother live feeds ' on CBS, even with the sound on full volume, I hear only vaguely voices.  It's weird because when I play I heart Radio with them, they work perfectly, commericals and everything?  What can I do to fix this?  The headphones are NOT the problem obviously.   Thanks in advance.  Jane

    Hi there @jesum13,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions.

I read in your post on the HP Support Forums that you have a problem with sound when using a headset.

I found a document for you called HP PCs - resolving the headphones and headphone problems (Windows 8). This document is included troubleshooting to help you get the right sound from your laptop using headphones.

1 have you tried plugging a different set of headphones or external speakers to see if it's compatible?

    2. If you click your Volume icon while your headphones are in and you're on Facebook, play a video, is there a separate listed Volume control?

3 have you tried to use the HP Support Assistant to update all of your drivers?

    4. how speakers work without headphones on Facebook or Big Brother Live Feed?

Please follow these troubleshooting steps provided and re-post with information to the above questions, the results of any troubleshooting information, or brand new.

    Thank you!

    Have a great day!

  • Can't play using headphones

    Original title: headphones problem

    Hello

I am running Windows Vista and tries to install a headset that came with a language program. In the Control Panel, under her, the device is listed with a green check mark as running, however, there is no sound bar to the right. 'Apply' and 'set as default buttons' is not highlighted and so I can't click on it. Hit the button Configure does not help. I ran Mr. Fixit and he says that the headset is turned off in Windows and to activate the device.  The unit is on, but it still does not work. The headset plugs into the USB port and I tried all the. Help, please.

I go to Device Manager and see if you have a yellow fringe (!), which suggests an error in your sound environment.

Right click on the sound, video and game controllers.

jFrom you can view details of the driver, update drivers and driver rollback.
If driver you rollback to a previous version, you are able to hear again?

Have you tried the headphones on another computer to see if it could be a hardware problem?

    Please let us know.

  • My iPhone is stuck in headset mode.  It's the THIRD phone that has had this problem.  Why Apple won't be a manual control of the headphone plug in the software?

Manual control for the headphone feature is required for the software.  I have had THREE phones to do exactly the same thing and I don't even use the headphones - I have a speakerphone bluetooth and headphones, so it is inexplicible why my phone would enter the headset mode and do not release the mode headphones - do not let me do a phone call that is not involving the speaker.  Apple insists on the fact that this problem is not common, but it happened to 100% of the phones that I have owned.

It is not common in the vast majority of users.

If you wish to have a such feature manual control available, http://www.apple.com/feedback/ will be a good resource for this comments.

Otherwise, try to restore your iPhone as new and not a backup test to see if the problem is back by restoring your backup on each of these phones.

    Can anyone help?

    @Jim0505

    Thanks for the reply,

I did some research and found this link contains driver HD Audio Windows (generic), although this is not necessary if the drivers realtek audio have already been updated.

If the helmet works on another device and still does not work on this computer, it is possible port is faulty.

I would recommend that you get it repaired or replaced by HP support by phone:

HP technical support are available by clicking on the following link:

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

    (1) once the page opens, please select the country in which you are located. Then enter your model of HP on the right number.

    (2) then choose "Contact the Support" tab at the top and scroll to the bottom of the page "HP Support - contact" to fill out the form with your details.

    (3) Once finished, click the "Show Options" at the bottom right.

  • Weird problem with headphones Jack Bootcamp

I searched many forums / tried many things before coming here, but for some reason - probably for the first time I don't see my problem on Google.

    The question:

Every time I put in the helmet, they show only disconnected in Windows on Mac OS X 10 with Cirrus pilots. Sound continues to play on the speakers. This problem wasn't there yesterday and randomly began today.

    Results:

    1. it is not a hardware problem: headset works perfectly on Mac.

    2. it is probably not a Windows problem: when I install Windows drivers by default, the headphones ARE recognzied (!) (this I do by uninstalling Cirrus and restart the Mac). Of course the audio does not play not (or through speakers or headphones) because these drivers are not used to a Macbook Pro.

    3. drivers are not exceeded - just downloaded software support of Bootcamp and re-installed windows.

    Conclusion:

It is most likely a problem with the driver for Cirrus, which is weird, because I assume that there is already a forum about this if there is (although someone should be the first I guess).

I have no idea what to do - Apple support cannot help, Cirrus doesn't have a lot of support and it is not a problem with Microsoft (I guess), the only solution I can think of is to find another driver, which I can't find.

If anyone has a solution or even a certain direction to a solution as possible, it will be very useful!

Found the problem: Windows does not recognize the headphones with 1 side does not, no wonder there is no one else with this problem lol.
