incompatibility of paper on 8600

I checked all related forums this issue.  The link to the solution does not work.  Everything is set correctly.  I even put back to the default settings. Can't print envelopes at all.  He worked at one point but no longer.  Frustrated!

Thanks for the reply.  I thought about it.

When I create the envelope in Windows 8.1/Microsoft Word 365, I created the envelope AND the letter in the same document.  When I went to print, the envelope presented themselves as page 1 and the letter as page 2.  I wanted to only print the envelope, so I chose to print page 1.  Does not, as I wrote.

Well well, after a lot of grief and to play with different options, I clicked on the envelope and selected, instead, to print the "current page".  It worked.  Maybe the word think page 1 corresponds to the letter, I don't know.  Looks like a Microsoft flaw for me.  In any case, I got it to work.  Thank you!

  • incompatibility of paper B210a

"I get the ' error ' on my b210a paper size mismatch. I checked, changed and reset my paper is A4, but it keeps giving this message. I can copy/scanning, a letter or a document, without any problem, but can not print a document.

I did everything on the forum links. Any device I use 6 Iphone, ipad, mac, it's the same thing every time. I'm not trying to use a custom paper and who have always used the same type of paper (80 g/m2 A4 hp) and used the same program (pages on Apple). I have updated the firmware (there is no update for the printer) it just suddenly stoped printing of new documents.

Then... went to another not hard reset, no change. Then decided to look inside and check each possible sensor and rub clean inside (much ink where ink cartridges Park) opened the rear... broke up a guide or two (not recommended)... fixed a guide or two, then put back together. It works again and wallah! Print as before. My good old faithful B210a is back and free fantasy.

  • incompatibility 5610v paper message

I use an imac OSX 10.8.4.   My Officejet 5610v throws a 'Paper Mismatch' message and do not print envelopes #10.  I print the envelopes in the paper and the printer recognizes not only of the envelope.  Is there any solution for this?

Thanks for the quick response.  In fact, I cleaned the 5610v per the instructions in the manual and after much work it works.  The transformed into 'paper jam' error message on its own.  I cleaned it really well, front and the removable back panel with a damp cloth and a dry cloth.  I gave him a superficial cleaning that does no good.  The real cleaning is the secret.  The printer will print cardstock (that he did not for years), envelopes and perform through the exemplary status bar, too.  I didn't need to install drivers because I'm under Apple Mountain Lion, 10.8.4.

  • C5180 tells me that paper is the right size or type is incorrect.

I have a photosmart c5180 all in one. I started having an error message, the incompatibility of paper. size of paper or type is incorrect. I used the same paper in the same place for years. I did everything I know how to fix.

    Any suggestions?

Normally, it is thanks to sensors of paper in the paper from the printer tray. If the paper sensors are dirty, damaged or blocked, then the printer will display a paper or paper Mismatch message.

There is a document in paper Mismatch questions located here.

Let me know how it goes.

  • IPad does not print, low on ink message

I have iOS iPad running 7.0.3 and office jet 8500 a910 firmware lrp1fn123ar. AirPrint works ok until about a month ago, but it's not. When I print from an application such as the mail, iPad comes up with the message 'low on printer ink', followed by the message "check printer to find errors. The printer display comes with 'incompatibility of paper, paper size or type is incorrect. Printer is not low on ink and prints ok from my hp laptop wireless. Followed the guidelines of resetting hp and apple for router, printer etc., but always the same error each time. I also installed hp sprint app and same error comes.

    Hi Rowlinson,

    Thanks for the quick response.

You're right, AirPrint is not an option to change the size of the paper so the when the print job is sent to the printer using AirPrint is search paper of the size of the document request. I suspect that the printer is 8½ "x 11" LETTER size research.  If you want to be able to change the paper size you can try to use HP ePrint app.  I have included a document with HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ as well as a document on how to get started with ePrint.

For the invalid message of low ink, I have included a link to a specific document to this message when the ink is not low.

Low ink warning message appears after installing a new ink cartridge

  • 6520 series Photosmart print envelope

I'm having a problem of printing envelopes varioous #10 programs. I keep getting messages of paper do not match. I am particularly interested in the C5 that are supposed to be looked after very well. I got 1 or 2 outputs in a strange way, so I know it works.

    Hello Bearfan49.

I understand that you have problems printing of envelopes to your Photosmart 6520. Yes, the C5 envelope format is supported by your printer.

How many envelopes are in your paper tray? The ability to support is of five envelopes.

As you change the paper settings for the type of program you are printing from? Can you specify what type of program you print from?

Please follow this document to resolve: incompatibility of paper.

Looking forward to hear from you.

  • T2500 - error message "on Hold for the book'

    Hey there

I have a T2500 Grand Format printer, when I COPY the use A1 mode and have the right paper roll selected, work is coming with the error 'On Hold for the book' in the work queue and I must Force print to print it.

In the machine settings > Setup > job management > paper Mismatch Action > I configured in "Impression anyway.

So if there is no incompatibility of paper the machine should just print the work anyway without asking for confirmation.

Any help with this really appreciated

Thanks Mike appreciate your info on that, I'll give that a try.

  • C1765nfw copy Issue: printer always takes into account that I have copies of legal size, even though I set the size of the copy as "letter"...

C1765nfw always guess I make copies of legal size, even if I set the size of the copy as a 'Letter' in the default copy settings.  Paper default tray is also 'Letter' and 8.5 x 11 paper I get incompatibility of paper for each page, because the C1765 is looking for legal size paper. and then have to erase/reset for each page I copy (including multi-page documents) how to fix this?

I just fixed that for a client, and it was pretty simple. Somehow its default settings for the MPF tray have been changed to legal. Try going to settings of the tray then MPF and change the default to the letter. This corrected it in my case.

  • new 8600 pics paper up to shootit on the back or jams

I bought the all in one 8600 anymore. It did not work at all. Gives the message paper tray is empty. It is not the case. I tried the status bar 1/3, 1/2 tray / full line indicated... Have disconnected reconnected power. tried to copy, scan never gets past the paper tray thing. So far I've accomplished nothing. The choices appear in the led screen. So I think it's quite a load.

I does not solve the problem.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: OfficeJet Pro ePrint 8600 - cannot select paper tray - HP needs to fix this problem

This is a limitation of the software that HP needs to fix. I bought this machine multifunction largely for two features, ePrint, and two bins to paper. I had released two paper because I often need to print on paper thick and does not want to manually load the cards into the printer whenever I don't want to print on thicker paper. Unfortunately tray 2 is not compatible with card stock so I keep copy regular paper in tray 2 (tray 2 is defined as the default tray) and I keep card stock in Tray 1, which is compatible with cards. The problem and the limitation is when I am traveling and want to use ePrint. Even if my default tray on the printer is 2, which is where the paper is, if I use ePrint to print, HP ePrint by default tray 1, which means that I print on thick paper. This isn't only a problem when you travel. One of the advantages of the ePrint, in theory, is I can print on my desktop at home via ePrint printer when connected to my VPN employers. I've had this machine for two years. It seems that HP would have an update now to solve this problem. So far, nothing. Frustrating!

    Hello @HudsonOH,

Thanks for posting in the forums of HP and welcome.

I understand that you are not able to choose your paper tray of your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one using ePrint. I would like to help with this, as much as I can.

Unfortunately, when you simply send an e-mail to the printer, you cannot change the print settings, because it uses the default settings on the ePrint server.

However, if you have an Android or iOS device, you can download the HP ePrint app. This allows you to add the printer by ePrint e-mail address and send print jobs when you are not with the computer (need you an active wifi or data connection, however). The application also allows to select print settings if you can ensure that you don't waste card stock paper you loaded in the machine.

To download the app on iOS, simply open the app store and type 'HP ePrint' in the search bar.

To download the app on Android, you can open the store game (or game of Google) and search for "HP ePrint.

Once you have installed the application, you can add your printer via his email ePrint:

    1. open the ePrint application and select OK on the demo screens.

    2. Once you reach the home screen, it will show your printer name, or not find printers (depending on whether you are at home with your printer, or on the go). Select this check box.

    3. you will see a tab at the top that says all, select it.

    4. press on the + symbol to add a printer.

    5. Enter your ePrint e-mail address and select Add.

To print using the application, return to the home screen and select an item to print one of the options listed. Note: If you are on iOS, you can even add your e-mail information in the application so that you can print emails.

In addition, you can sign up here for updates on the new firmware and software for your printer, in which case no alternative workaround should arise: stay connected with updates from HP

    I hope this helps!

  • 8600 pro Plus scanning for paper A4 on Mac

8600 pro Plus scanning for paper A4 on Mac

I'm unable to scan A4 paper on my device of 8600 by using the HP scanning Application. I have validated that I use the latest software/firmware.

I can print on A4 paper just can't sweep.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi TLC20,

Thank you for your answer! I was wondering if you are able to copy with A4 paper.

In the meantime, try the following:

Load A4 paper on the ADF clash.

On a Mac, click the Apple icon, click System Preferences, click Print & Scan, select your printer in the list, click the scanning tab, then click on open Scanner.

Make sure that the document feeder is selected not to dish. Then change the format of A4 paper.

Hope this helps you and have a great day!
