IPad does not print, low on ink message

I have iOS iPad running 7.0.3 and office jet 8500 a910 firmware lrp1fn123ar. AirPrint works ok until about a month ago, but it's not. When I print from an application such as the mail, iPad comes up with the message 'low on printer ink', followed by the message "check printer to find errors. The printer display comes with 'incompatibility of paper, paper size or type is incorrect. Printer is not low on ink and prints ok from my hp laptop wireless. Followed the guidelines of resetting hp and apple for router, printer etc., but always the same error each time. I also installed hp sprint app and same error comes.

Thanks for the quick response.

You're right, AirPrint is not an option to change the size of the paper so the when the print job is sent to the printer using AirPrint is search paper of the size of the document request. I suspect that the printer is 8½ "x 11" LETTER size research.  If you want to be able to change the paper size you can try to use HP ePrint app.  I have included a document with HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ as well as a document on how to get started with ePrint.

  • Want 5530: Printer does not print in black ink

    I recently updated my HP 8.1 Windows of Windows 10 laptop.  I have the same type of printer (Envy 5530) installed at my other House and updated my desktop computer for Windows 10 and had no problem with printing, but now I'm with the laptop.  I try to print documents now and the printer does not print anything using black ink.  Color ink prints, black ink just not. The two jets of ink are filled.  I did all the "try these patches" suggested Windows and HP Print doctor.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer twice.  I rebooted the computer several times.  I'm no tech person by any means and have no one to help me or ask what else to do. Can someone help me understand this please?  Thank you!

    You use genuine HP cartridges or refills?

    One of your ink cartridges, low or empty?

    In the meantime, try the following solutions:

  • HP Photosmart 5520 does not print in black ink.

    Black doesn't print not... except on the print quality diagnostics page where the text and black frames around boxes all print in black.  Inside of the 'Black' box is empty, however.  When I try to print a page of type, it is either totally empty or very indistinct.  How is that possible?

    I saw three other posters with this same problem, everything from 21/01/14 and no answers to the problem.  All the patches of troubleshooting on the Web page do no good.

    My warranty has expired also.  Is this a systemic problem?  How do we get fixed?

    I'll be happy to help you.

    I don't know what you have tried so far the fix, but I included a few documents to go through the steps to see if we can solve this problem.

    This printer has a permanent print head. You can always run however of cleanups on the print head.

    This document is intended printer does not print black ink or color ink or prints blank Pages.

    Here is a document to clean the contacts of the cartridge.

    'Cartridge problem,' 'Cartridge missing or damaged', or 'Not compatible ink cartridges' Message is displayed on the control panel.

    Please let me know the results if you are still having problems.

    You use genuine HP cartridges?
    Check the date on the cartridge to make sure that they are still in warranty. (not old stock)
    What are the ink levels?

    If you like you can print a new diagnostic test page, scan it and include it in the post, I can take a look to try to find a way to solve this problem.

  • Does not print any black ink

    Hello, I have a Photosmart C6380 all-in-One Printer.  It will not print in black ink.  The other colors work very well.  I changed the 4 smaller cartridges because they were all low or empty.  The larger black cartridge is about half full, perhaps slightly slot so I have not yet changed.  When I print, it prints all colors except black.  I really want to buy another cartridge with him still having a lot of ink left.  However, the other day I tried to make a copy just for the heck of it.  Dang, he printed the copy very well.  I shook my cartridge twice.  The first time right before printing to think perhaps this would help.  The second time right before I did the copy.  So why will it work for the party copy, but not printing?

    I also tried assigning the factory settings, but that didn't help either.  Also, I had problems with the office, so I can't try it print again until I get this job.  I tried to download the software of the printer on my laptop, but it does not work.  I would also like to be able to print wireless with my laptop and printer.  How can I do once I get the downloaded software?

    Color cartridges are typically used when you print copies unless the printer is set for improved text and the copied document is recognized as text.  Try to print a page of test, as shown in step 4 here.  If black is not printing, follow the steps in troubleshooting in this page, especially looking at the vents and cleaning of the print head.  After the first seven steps, if the problem persists the following may help.

    Please read this post then provide some details.   What operating system?  Running the diagnostics to http://www.hp.com/go/tools can help solve the problem.

    Actual start simple with a reset. Press and hold the home and power buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release the two buttons. Wait for your iPad to begin on its own.

    If the reset does not reset the wifi router by pulling the plug from the socket.

    Also do a print test by copying something to make sure that you have enough ink.

    As you have already tried to add paper but printer still appears the same error message, it is possible that the printer does not detect paper.

    It could be a problem with the printer itself.

    It would be a good idea to contact the manufacturer of the printer to help.

    recently bought a mac book pro with OS X 10.11 El Capitan. Attached is my old HP PSC 1400 for my print/scanning works. System is automatically downloaded and installed the driver. The scan function works well, but I was unable to make an impression. Printer looks and sounds working with half ink cartridges but paper comes out clean, tried re install the printer several times but used to resolve printing problems yet.     Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I see that you can not print printer HP PSC 1400 series, you have recently upgraded to El Capitan 10.11 Mac OS X, and you are able to scan. Your ink cartridges are half full.

    I see the printer must be installed using updates Apple, as there are no full software features and drivers available for the older model of printer, see here: install a printer Mac driver by using Apple Software Update

    Once you have installed completely, I wish you continue troubleshooting here: Missing, Faded or dull colors, when you print a test page the fact also come out blank?

    Once you complete the print quality paper you are now able to print? If you are unable to print, you may need to change the ink cartridges. Let me know the results, I'll watch for your reply.

    I see you have a partial page printing problem when you use your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer. I want to help you with this. I have some suggestions that might help.

    I think it is a problem of software, but just in case, try to make a copy of the façade - if printing result is normal appearance, fine. If this is not the case, click here to access hardware troubleshooting tips from HP.

    Assuming you were able to make a decent copy of the façade, we will assume that your printing problems are focused on software. Accordingly, I recommend you try the following steps:

    Uninstall your printer

    • Press the Windows key + r
    • Type of control panel and press enter
    • Click on programs and features
    • Select the driver for your printer from the list, and then click on uninstall.

    Remove temporary files from your PC:

    • Press the Windows key + r
    • Type %temp%, and then press enter
    • Press Ctrl + a to select all files
    • Press Delete
    • Note that some files do not delete - do not worry, this is normal. Simply click ignore that you're prompted.
    • Empty your trash at the end.

    Download the printer Installation Wizard

    Click here to install the HP printer install wizard (instead of directly using the printer driver). When you run it, this utility will facilitate what I hope it's a smoother and more efficient printer installation.

    My printer kept on flashing red and saying he has no paper or ink when there were some papers, but I don't know if there is ink, so I brought black and tricolor hp for my first ink replacement ink. After that I replaced both ink cartridges it flashed again as if there was no ink or paper when he was at the same time. However, when I tried to print a 1 page document a weird page was printed saying "for a better print quality, put this on the glass and press a button to copy. When I got to my printer, the same page has been printed and when I copied it my printer worked, so I copied this time but my printer still will not work and continues to reprint of the same page.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Jet office pro 8500 does not print Yellow - no error messages and printhead life shows good

    I have an Officejet Pro 8500 A909n Prime that doesn't print Yellow. I have replaced the yellow cartridge twice, cleaned the printheads as well regular and deep cleaning, and I cleaned the contacts on the print head. Current information shows the printhead as good quality. The amount of ink is correct. There has never been no error messages whatsoever. What gives?

    Sorry, but none of your suggestions helped. What I suspected at the outset was the printhead and it seems to be what needs to be replaced. HP and print heads are a big problem and I had this problem on previous models of the officejet family. My Canon has been in service for seven or eight years and I have never had a problem with it. I think that if I replace this printer that I might have to consider anything other than HP. Thanks a lot for your help.

  • iPad does not print when B210 is in sleep mode

    My iPad is "printer offline" when you print from my iPad to my photosmart wireless B210. Apple Care suggested that I contact HP to find out if Air Print the printer can be left on when prnter goes into stanby mode. Or if the standby printer can be disabled.

    Looks like a problem network here. I would first start by turning off the iPad, printer and unplug the router. Then plug the router back in and when he's back to a normal diet on the other two aircraft. See if you can now access the printer.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a Plus: black ink cartridge does not print

    I have a HP Officejet 6500 a and have an operating system of Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 15R.  The printer does not print any black ink. I have genuine HP cartridges and the black cartridge is about 75% full. It was working properly until this morning. I downloaded your troubleshooting and everything seems fine. I ran the program cleaning head several times, but I can't always get black ink on a page. The other colors are fine. After the second head cleaning, I got a very small black image, but head cleaning has resulted in no black ink. I made sure that the wind had been reached on the cartridge and this problem occurs with wireless and hard wired connections. Time before, it happened and when I replaced the cartridge, it worked. After reading some of the messages on the map, it seems not to be the solution. I also hesitate to throw a cartridge that is only 25% used. Can you help me?

    I have window xp home system and the printer HP psc 1100 Series (HP psc 1110 precisely).  My problem is that when you use the dialog system (Ctrl + Shift + P set keys), it prints color pages; Whereas, when I use the button PRINT keyboard on the microsoft intelli-type wireless keyboard, it does not print in black ink and not in color.  Could someone please sort this out for me, how for it, so it will print color even when I use the correct keyboard shortcut key photography.     I've been struggling with this for months...

    Of course, this printer color cartridges run out after 50 pages or so... terrible... but at least the BW prints nearly 500 pages... not bad...

    Anyway,.

    Whenever the COLOR cartridge is low, it FARM DOWNS ANY impression, especially BW... I can't print on BW, when well even the cartridge BW is full... WHY?

    I chose the option to "continue" to print on device settings when the color cartridges are weakening... and yet, it still does not print...

    IS THERE A WAY TO BYPASS THE CARTRIDGES COLOR AND PRINTING BLACK AND WHITE ONLY? I can NOT BELIEVE HP MADE some THING so SIMPLE SO COMPLICATED... they are supposed to be leaders in printing technology and yet they cannot even conceive something that should be so simple...
