InDesign CC - no shortcuts "don't save under ' avaiable

Hey there, I'm panicking...

This problem I had last week, then I reinstalled my whole system and first al was good.

now, since the last 48 hours the problem is still there, perhaps from installing from a software (?)

problem of who? I can't use "save under" via the shortcut SHIFT + CMD + S.

In the Menu onle the INDESIGN register flashes when I press on, but nothing happened.

I wrote already last week with support, but all the marks were unnecessary.

Fresh news 1: I tried other workspaces in indesign. There, the shortcut works - ONLY ONCE.

Fresh info 2: now, I tried to change the command of shortcut like him. then it works - ONLY ONCE.

PS in InDesign CS6 all the shortcuts work properly. I think that there is a big bug in CC.

anyone with the same problem? adobe support can help me...

sincerely from marco

Hell Yes, that's all. YOU'RE THE MAN. Thank you thank you thank you. so simple, so bad.

THE SOLUTION (for all and Adobe): the shortcut works, since I installed ClamX-AV.

This was seen in the Systempreferences / keyboard / shortcuts / "Dienste".

He ClamX-AV also use SHIFT + CMD + S to make it. CLEAR the check box.

THIS MARKET!

Since I use it quite often, I would change to "l" for easier when accessibility also having to press "enter" then. I used to be able to do this by editing the file en - US.jar, but in the new versions of Firefox, this file is not found.

Unfortunately Google is not currently much of a help either.
In addition, I don't want an add-on or plugin, I just want to be able to change the keyboard shortcut.

Does anyone know of a way that this can be achieved in the new versions of Firefox?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You don't want an add-on...

I think that the .jar file, you are probably looking for is compressed with others in the omni.ja file. We had a thread last year where a user has successfully changed this file to change some keyboard shortcuts, but I have not tried it myself. • Book InDesign always wants to "save under" when it is closed. Work is lost.

    Hello

We work with Indesign and Windows 7 Professional, all files are available for each of us on our server. For the first time now, we create our 280 page catalog as a file indb including 12 chapters (indd documents).

I assumed, that all of us (there are three of us) can work in different chapters at the same time. Have I been wrong?

    How we work:

We open the indb file simultaneously, and then open the different chapters at the same time (via the directory, without double click in Solution Explorer).

When we close a chapter, we save the indd. file. No problems so far.

But when one closes the indb file so Indesign says 'someone changed the book once you have opened it. Sure you crush? "and she wants to" save under ", not just"Save ".

    Problem:

So far, we clicked on "Yes, please overwrite the book." "What should happen to the indd files during the recording of the book" we thought.

But soon, we recognized, that sometimes the things we changed in the chapters (such as dimensions, photos, illustrations, text) seem to have disappeared. But this isn't all the work, which has been lost. Just a few things. It's so mysterious.

    That make us hurt?

Is it wrong to open the book at the same time?

Will we open chapters in via double click Solution Explorer to open the book?

Please help, we have the catalogue to be completed by next week. :-(

    Hello

I wouldn't recommend trying to open the book file simultaneously. But then - a book file is just a simple container document and can be recreated very quickly. I open the chapters independently of the book and just to bring together them in a document of a book at the end.

    Kind regards

  • Is there a way to change where InDesign CC2015 registers a "save under" by default?

Is there a way to change InDesign CC2015 where a "save under" by default? In previous versions, if I did a "save under" document, it automatically chose the same folder the same in that original document was. It makes sense, especially if you save a version update of a file. In CC2015, it automatically records the last folder you did a "save under", which can be very annoying, requiring either a series of extra clicks, or scratching your head and trying to figure out where your paper was on his next, you try to open it.

Nothing has changed. If the file previously recorded in CC 2015, the dialog box will default to the place where currently the folder. Otherwise, the first save as is considered to be a new file in the same and will default to the last place one record under took place.

  • I saved my Keynote presentation in the cloud, on my Mac and on a memory stick.  When I click on 'Save' I don't know where it is saved!  There is not a function "save under" in Keynote 6.6.2?

    Keynote "save under"?

Press the option key on the keyboard and then: file > save under

You can then navigate to the location where to save the file.

  • A JPEG of script "save under".

I do work for my business and I need to do what is essentially the stop-motion animation... I have my Basic .psd file, I move a layer inside slightly, save it as a .jpeg and repeat. Repeat, repeat and repeat.

However, it takes much too long to get through dialogue "save under", change the file name and change the type of file in jpeg every time.

I don't know anything about scripting (writing OR using them), but I've read it's the solution to my problem here... a script that will save a jpeg copy of my file .psd with a new name.

In addition, it would be GREAT if that can be assigned to a key or combination of keys... as I hit him command + ~ and it runs the script.

    Can you guys help me?

NB: This is for Photoshop CS3 or better!

Copy and paste the script in ExtendScript Toolkit, it is installed with Photoshop

This utility is located in the proper folder: -.
    PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe utility
    MAC: /Applications/Utilities/Adobe utilities

The script must be registered in: -.
    PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS #\Presets\Scripts
NB: Vista and Windows 7, you will need to save it somewhere else and copy it to this folder because of permissions.
    MAC: Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS #/ presets/Scripts settings

If Photoshop is open, close and restart Photoshop so that it can pickup the new script.

You can create an action to call the script
Start recording a new action and in the dialog box action palette select "Insert Menu Item" then file - Scripts and select the script.
    stop recording.
This action can be given a function key to run it.

Another way is to create your own keyboard shortcuts:
Edit - keyboard shortcuts - file, go down until you see the script and assign your own shortcuts.

On first use, it will let you choose the suffix bib.
The files will be saved as OriginalFileName #0001.jpg OriginalFileName #0002.jpg etc...
The files will be saved in the same folder as the original document.

  • How to "save under" a file?

Scenario: I used Barcode Scanner to scan the barcode for some software (an Android .apk) files. He gave me:
    -Send an email to someone
    -SMS to someone
    -Open in the browser

So, I did the third. He then asked me: "native browser or Firefox? The native browser these back on the market.

Expected result: I assumed that Firefox would have done the same thing.
Result: Firefox displayed a large block of ugly text.

And there is no function "save under" so I can record it and open it from there! Where is the Save function under? I don't want to save as a PDF, I just save the file as I downloaded it.

(Bonus points, please also tell me how to change file associations).

Sorry, there is no command "save the Page under" mobile Firefox menu. If you know a web page with a link to the file, you can press and hold on the link and choose 'Save link'.

Normally the Firefox would automatically record an APK file and allow you to install it, but it requires the web server send the correct "Content-type" header. Some web servers do not send header and Firefox does not know the file type. We will try to improve this experience in future versions.

  • 2011 screen "save under" too big word

After the upgrade to El Capitan my Word documents get hidden behind the dock when I try to "save under. I have to "save under", and then click an arrow on the screen that appears to change the location, click again, and then I can actually save the document because the page moves to be in front of the docking station.

The open document has also no point red, yellow, green on the upper left corner. The top (to reduce or close the page) toolbar is not available on the page ATTACHED himself to THE TOP TOOLBAR and new documents, so I can't move it even.  After clicking on Windows/Zoom and it attaches. I don't have to do!

    Help!

You are in full screen view. Press ESC to get out.

Or while in the WSF, the cursor on the top of the screen, the menu bar will descend.

  • Delete "save under" type of file in Explorer

Since that remove a third part called Zip extract file program now I can't understand how to remove that "save under" file type in windows Explorer when you try to save a zip file download. I do not want to reinstall pull now because the download came with other installed programs. He gave you the option of unchecking these extra pieces of software, but did not and install anyway. • Cannot use, "save under" to save the information in the missing desktop icon

Whenever I try to use the, "Save as" command in Word 2007 or the appearance of Windows 7 theme page to save on the Desktop icon on the left side of the page, it is impossible, because the Desktop icon disappeared completely.

This means I have to record information in example Library\Documents, why?

    Anyone solve the problem?

How to reset the Windows path, which should allow me, "save under" information and possibly other paths to the desktop (icon)?

The desktop icon is normally located in the "Favorites" group at the top of the left pane. Click on the small arrow next to Favorites to show the links it contains.

If she's really gone then you can put it to go back easily.  Open Windows Explorer, find your desktop folder, select it, drag it to the favorite icon to the top of the left pane, drop it on the Favorites.  Who put it there.  [He puts a shortcut on the desktop in the favorite group]

Note that Favorites is extremely poorly named.  It has nothing to do with favorites, you are probably familiar with Internet Explore.  It's actually a set of shortcuts in whatever you chose to put files and its list is displayed in C:\Users\yourusername\Links if you take a look here.

  • Break during the "save under" for the combined PDF binders - Acrobat Pro XI

Suddenly, Acrobat Pro XI crashes ONLY when "save under" for the bindings of combined file is executed.

    Conditions

    • Two or more files are combined together, sometimes Word or. Documents RTF, combined with PDFs
    • When the workbook is created, I want ", but reduced."
    • Crashing, happens once the images are being processed
    • It started a few days previously worked without crashing, but there
    • I can do a 'Save as reduced' for non-binder files
    • I can do a 'Save as reduced' AFTER 'impression' linking it to a new PDF
    • It is for all documents binding on the network or on my local machine
    • It's for all the computers on the network, then this problem is the workbook files themselves

    I took action:

    • All the updates of Windows and Acrobat have been executed
    • A reboot has finished several times
    • All temporary files have been deleted
    • Tried to uncheck "Save as optimizes for fast Web pages display", no change
    • Tried to reduce 'documents in the recently used list' from 100 to 10, no change

This seems to be due to one or several pages in the documents linking themselves, I think of those with pictures on them. Once again, if I print the workbook as a new PDF and then do a 'Save as reduced' it works very well, to me I think that after the images we been reduced or pixelated when printed, it allows the "reduction of the size" to work because the images are more than "images"?

    Any information is appreciated!

    Reset preferred had no change.

    Repair facility had no change.

I had specified it is happening with the "binder" documents are created by combining RTF files in a PDF file, then try to reduce.

I had already said that this is happening with all the computers on the network, which means that several users have tried, no difference between them.

Looks like that to happen is no longer with new documents, RTF files only 4-5 do this now instead of each of them. Just documents cannot be reduced after linking to PDF, Acrobat still crashes. However, we believe that it is just these 4-5 RTF files that might have some sort of image or text which cannot be rasterized. There are other RTF size files we can work that do a bind and can then be reduced in size.

We assume that these specific documents either have a certain level of corruption or something around those who don't like Acrobat.

    Hi douglash21414001,

I think maybe it's a coincidence, that nothing is installed with ExportPDF, so nothing should have changed your web browser. That said, you can clear the cache of the browser and then re-open your browser. (What browser do you use?)

You can also try to restart your computer, if the browser is restarted does not solve the problem. But still, I don't think that this problem is related to the ExportPDF.

Please let us know how it goes.

  • Dialog "save under" opens in full screen. How to disable?

At some point my "save under" dialog has begun to open full screen mode. Do not know why. There is no way I can find to exit full screen mode. I have looked at the preferences and cannot find any obvious control for this behavior. It's not a big deal, but it is very annoying. I have not been able to find anywhere else that this question has been asked.

I tried 'Save as another' and includes it in the same way.

The document itself is not open full screen.

I use Windows 7. Currently I am running Adobe Reader XI, but the behaviour started before that. I think I have accidentally typed in a combination of keys (or dropped something on the keyboard) who put some sort of option somewhere.

    Thanks for any help.

Don't you know. Entering into this issue a similar question finally showed. The answer is right at the top of the window and select "restore." Problem solved.
