  If I understand correctly...

  The photos you have posted in a particular order (probably the result of a selection). You can select contiguous files by clicking the first item, and then, with the SHIFT key, click the last item you want. That should highlight your contiguous files.

  Then, you use the function "export" in the file menu.

  In the dialog box, you have several useful options: file format, compression, the file size, the possible change of name and the destination. This destination can be a USB key or a Dropbox folder, as suggested by hatstead.

  If you have a large number to select, it's usually possible create a search with various criteria so that only the desired files are indicated.

  If you are not satisfied with the sort order (chronological, filename, import batch), I suggest to create an album. In an album, you can manually sort you want by moving the thumbnails in the navigation area. (Depends on your version of elements).

  As long there is no deliberately locked object, you can do the following:

  Drag on the lock column in the layer panel

  Object > unlock all (there is a shortcut for this)

  -> unlocked objects are selected

  Well, I've found a workaround.  Considering that, before, I would choose a tool with the pointer (but who would choose the tool in the menu drop-down), I discovered that if I pressed the option + command (Mac) buttons while selecting the tool on the fly-out, there select the tool and make it active.  So, problem solved immediately.  (In fact, using the keys in this way, I expect to divide all the tools, so they each have their own individual box - I have the screen space to do.)  (If I remember correctly, Adobe Pagemaker (wow, remember that?) lets you do this.)

  I have over 100 tables, each with about 40 individual cells that need to be revised. In each cell, there are 2 numbers stacked. The top number is "BOLD", the light at the bottom.   (Off the top of my head; it is, first you give the name of the font family, then a tab-'\t' in Javascript-, then the font style).

• Importing a large amount of text in InDesign (Newbie question)!

  I'm new to InDesign and would appreciate some advice/tips on the best way to transfer a large amount of text from Microsoft Word into an InDesign document. I was tasked to create a very simple pocket-sized book, whose content will be a series of business acronyms (700 +) and their definitions (imagine a very simple dictionary). As you can imagine there are a lot of text in the Microsoft Word document, so any advice on how to transfer everything as quickly as possible would be really useful. Or, where appropriate, it would be easier to use another program?

  Can you paste/import all - or chunks-a document word at once? If I format a master page will be Adobe InDesign paste the text in the number of pages required? Or do I have to do it page by page in a Clipboard?

  Of course, I don't expect InDesign to format the text perfectly on every page, I want to just throw everything at once and then go back and he put all this.

  File > Place... and navigate to the Word file. Show Import Options to allow you to preserve the formatting of Word, or throw, or card styles styles in your document of identity.

  If you have a block of text on your master page, place the cursor loaded above the area of the image on your document page and watch for the cursor change if it is surrounded by parentheses, then hold down the SHIFT key and click. If you do not have a Master frame (and more experienced users will tell you that more than 90% of the time a block of text type is more hindrence than help if you set your margins correctly), hold down the SHIFT key and click where you want the top of the first column to get started.

  In both cases, ID will add pages as necessary to place the entire document and thread text across all frames. If using frames of masters, they will be linked and overrridden on the page of document automatically, otherwise, your first image will begin where you click and extend to the bottom margin and succeeding frames will fill the column guides (so talk to your margins correctly).

  ID is a professional software and you really need to spend time to learn how it works. A good starting point is the help files. Another is Visual QuickStart Guide of Sandee Cohen of InDesign. If you prefer video training, Lynda.com has good content.

  Your event dispatching component sends the event at the top of the hierarchy of the application.  If the parent is the application he will hear it.  If your component is buried a little further down bubbling (set to true) allows him to go up the hierarchy until you reach the next level.  You can stop it bubbling in some points using stopPropogation() or stopImmediatePropogation().

  However, can I still add to thid question HarUI, or someone else and ask why bubbles considered bad practice.  I've seen other applications do.  If you want to send an event at two levels, so to speak, you listen to so and re ship at each level.

  What is the best practice for this?

  The transcription software that I use on the PC like MP3. I can go through a conversion I guess, but it is there by chance a way to get the Sansa to record in MP3?

  You can configure shared between operating systems using the Industry Standard SMB/CIFS file sharing or the VMware Shared Folders feature.  The latter is easier for those who do not understand the network.  Take a look at the "transfer files and text" in the documentation.
