• Install VISTA SP2 - all my old documents are "locked by another user.

  I used Windows update to install the Vista SP2 and now all my existing documents came as "locked by another user", or in the case of older documentation and worksheets in read-only or corrupt.  The docs are very good, I can copy it to another machine and they work.  In addition, the file attributes are NOT marked read-only.  Any ideas?  I was going to cancel, but the restoration of the system shows no point of restoration before the update, even if I manually created a Saturday.

  Boot into safe mode and see if it will remove. Alternatively, you can drag to the C drive and see if it will remove it from there.  If still no joy, try this tool.

  1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

  2. are you able to boot into safe mode without any problem?

  Since you are not able to restore the system to normal mode, I suggest you to do a system restore to a recent date of WinRE using the full version of Windows Vista disk.

  I'm trying to publish a movie on this computor in Windows Movie Maker. The files are .wmv with a band his .wav and are all stored on my computor. I performed this task with success several times and there is enough free space on the computor.

  When I click on publish, there are a few seconds where he tries to publish, but then the program goes into a gel and the dialog box appears with the following: "another user is running Windows Movie Maker on this computor. Please close the other session of Windows Movie Maker before starting Windows Movie Maker again".

  When I click Close, there is an icon of wmv on my desk with the title of my project, but it is empty. I am the only user on this computor and I am puzzled as to why this should be implemented.   Converter would be worth a try.

  You change them widely? (split, rotation, transitions...)

  There is a possibility that you could import the Windows Media .wmv files
  Encoder and convert them to... .WMV to .wmv. Seems pointless, I know...
  but it would create a new .version of the. WMV files and can fix that
  perhaps never the problem.

  (FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)

• Impossible to uninstall Windows SteadyState or the opening of session "another user"...

  Hello, I recently tried Windows SteadyState to keep my PC to get banged by my nephew and my brother not so savvy in computer and download _ not knowing the source or if it has malware attached. in any case it was too complicated for me to understand, itself tried to uninstall it, it is not in the programs; used Revo Uninstaller, even deleted the files of the register... but it's ALWAYS THERE! I also tried to remove additional users added to the logon screen, to no avail... Any ideas?

  I am happy that we managed to get rid of these two files.  I installed SteadyState just to see what would happen and I also have another user on my login screen if it is not listed in the user accounts and so it cannot be deleted anyway, I know.  As long as it requires a name and a password (so not just anyone can get in), then I would probably just that it is--that's what I'll do (at least for now).  It is causing no harm and is secure.  You are probably right that SteadyState doesn't has not been uninstalled completely - perhaps reinstall it and uninstallling this new will do the trick.

  Alternatively, you can try posting in the SteadyState Forum: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowssteadystate/threads to see if they have any ideas or suggestions.

• queue exception thanks to another user access

  Just need a little help for fact and exception queue by another user.

  I have a queue in detail a. (test_q). When messages expire they land in the q of the exception (AQ$ _test_q_E).

  I have a diagram A package that retrieves the message EXPIRES of AQ$ test_q and requeues then the payload once again in the same queue. Then she takes off the expired message from AQ$ _TEST_Q_E to remove the expired entry from test_q.

  Adeel pls check if you have any rating triggers server working on tables in your form. Most likely, the same elements that are updated in your forms are also managed in a trigger server side.

  1-one way to solve this problem is to define the update and insert properties of these elements NOT in your block if they are handled in the trigger.

  2 - pls check the DML property for the block.

  3. you can also check your form and triggers after you after insertion, POST-update, AFTER validation and see what happens

  4 - or you have the number of columns in your block with a precision higher than in the database.

  5 - you can write your own SQL insert, update or DELETE statement in the form, editing a column value TO the same table that you update using a block of base table of standard forms.
