  I've never uploaded home page of our website before. I downloaded the pages of the site. These pages are under a car - X:/sitefolder

  I have my local root folder of the site be X:/sitefolder.

  • Sites
  • Manage Sites
  • clicked on the site that I need & Edit in a hurry
  • Click on Advanced tab
  • highlight layout of Site map
  • I saw that the home page says: X:/sitefolder/index.html

  How can I get under X do this because I don't want the homepage under the "sitefolder" just drive X.

  Make the host directory contain ONLY "www" in the definition of your remote site.

  Drag the index.html file which is located here - x: - here - X:\sitefolder\ Explorer.  Check the page of DW and redo all THE links.  Save it.

  I designed a site earlier in Muse and recently did a search on google for it. I noticed that the index page is not appear in the list of Google search and instead the second page showed so when you go to the site, the first page you come to is not the Home Page.  I just update of certain content on the site and exported all of the FTP site. I have reset my Cache but it always shows the second page. Is there something that I am missing? I don't think that happened initially after the construction of the site. Perhaps something has gone wrong with the coding?

  I have configured the load balancer for my web server (server of Web 2) .so that my url looks like http://qaps.lnt.com when I go to the url it redirects me to the peoplesoft index.html page. When I click on "Please click here to log on to the page of peoplesoft", it takes me to the login page. But my requirement is to circumvent the index.html page. When I type http://qaps.lnt.com it brings me to our login page. The reason behind this is the user final can recall only the abbreviated of qaps.lnt.com and not form the url complete and also, they do not want to see the homepage of weblogic server (index.html) page.

  Any ideas or suggestions.

  2 simple options.

  1: change the index.html file in each web server and add a refresh of html to automatically to the login page:

  http://qaps.LNT.com/PS/signon.html">

  2. most of the load balancers allow actions in base/context based application.  Use your load balancer to intercept the query "/" and rewritten for the customer.  (This method may vary depending on your program of load balancing).

  With respect to obtaining the friendly URLS, there are several ways aside for this server. Most of the Web servers are Apache, and if you're brave, you can read about .htaccess files to make redirects for more friendly URLs. They are complicated and not for the coding of the heart, so be careful. Note, however, that the URL created by Muse can take advantage of these friendly URLS automatically, and links would need to be directed to the right place through hyperlinks drop-down manually.

  However, let's talk about the fear of the root here: SEO. Seen index.html links does not know to have a negative impact on the SEO of your site.   Well, it's a problem in your Firefox. To me this https://www.yahoo.com/ page looks like the screenshot of IE.

  Many issues of the site can be caused by corrupted cookies or cache. To try to solve these problems, the first step is to clear cookies and cache.
  Note: This will be you temporarily disconnect all sites, you're connected to.
  To clear the cache and cookies to do the following:

  You can easily get rid of the pages folder in the structure of your site by changing all of your index.html pages and placing them into folders for each section in the root of the site, like this...

  The page could be cached in other places, such as cache network or your internet provider.  These are rare cases, but they happen, and you have no control over it.  Best to have friends / colleagues check from another place, this page has been replaced by fact.  If you have several locations showing the same old page, which means the page was either not removed properly, or home page of the site is perhaps used a different directory than where you are currently working.  It is common for people to create several directories test when booting with web creation programs and forget the one that serves content for the online site.
