"End of the upgrade of the firmware" required on E1000?

I recently bought an E1000 router and had to put in place manually (with the help of technical support) b/c the Connect software wasn't working properly with my computer.  Today I called the technical support to ask about upgrading the firmware - for security reasons - I'm not having problems.  They walked me well to download the new firmware updated, navigation on the desktop and install it.  (I have nothing decompress).  I told them I thought I had to do a hard reset 30 seconds or something and reconfigure and I was told this is not necessary.  The site says that all the 4 steps should be performed in order to update the firmware correctly.

If my browser seems to work correctly afterwards, and the listed version is the new version, should I do the hard reset and reconfiguration?  If I did not, is the firmware upgrade completed?  During the process, we me no what this is pointing upwards, is back.  However, after initially installing the router, I made a backup on mine, just in case.  Not sure it would do any good, however, as he himself has automatically saved as file Outlook for some reason any.

Thanks for any help!

If the updated version is indicated on the page of the router and all the devices in the network works fine, then there is no need to reset the router.

  • After restart of the firmware upgrade

Hi, I need to update the firmware on my controllers PS6100 EqualLogic.

I found the instructions on how to do it and everything seems straight forward to do so via the GUI.

I noticed there is a necessary restart after the firmware has been applied. Does this mean I have to gracefully shutdown the virtual machines running on my SAN LUNS? My iSCSI connections will be closed/broken during the restart of the post firmware upgrade?

    Thank you, Oliver.

    Hello Oliver,.

In the same area download notes firmware and release is another PDF, entitled ' iSCSI initiator and optimize your SAN environment for high availability operating system considerations ", which includes some key parameters that will allow your computers virtual and servers through the failover time.  It is important that not only the Firmware update, but in the case of an unexpected failure due to a failure of CM.

More if you use VMware ESXi, there is a best practices PDF for that as well.  In addition to better manage the failover, these changes have shown to improve performance as well.

The Tech report TR1091 is available here:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/Extras/m/white_papers/20434601/download

Changes for Windows and the knots of ESXi virtual machines will require a reboot to take effect.

What version of firmware you are at, and what version you are migrating towards?

Other things I always propose updates is to ensure that both controllers are plugged in your switch and in the VLAN correct.  Since assets CM are failed over to the passive, support gets much advertising is unable to access the storage after firmware update.  Or ports of the day before were not in the VLAN correct, or individuals with disabilities, etc...

It is for these reasons that personally I prefer to do the updates via the serial port CLI.   The process is more talkative, and if something should go wrong, you need the serial port of some sort.   Since the installation and tested in advance is a huge time saver.   Here, we use serial mux so that all array controllers are easily accessible.

  • Estimate the time required to upgrade the h/w VM

    Hello

It is finally time to upgrade my VI3.5.

I expect the downtime required for virtual machines.

Could someone advise, your past experience, the amount of time required to upgrade each VM h/w?

Or which could be used to estimate as a point of departure for me?

    Appreciate your help.

    ~ ~ ~ Live is to die ~ ~ ~

    mbx369,

We passed one of our sites from 3.5 to 4 last week. We had planned for 1 hour of downtime, and in the end, there were about the same downtime as a reboot. There should be minimum downtime for your virtual machine, if you want to be upgrading the current hosts using the same hardware, you can put all your guests on a single host... upgraded to another, and then add the virtual machine to the new inventory of the hosts. I hope this helps!

    Hello

After replacing a failed hard drive and firmware updagrded, I want to download media, my plotter keeps coming up with code system error and warning: "0f0100 00001d 06 on/off switch, if the problem is, contact HP support. I did several times of the power switch, it still say I can't go any further. One thing I can say that current hard drive (80 GB capacity) is a little bit larger than the broken one(40gb) and not a new brand. The used firmware is S.56.07. Another problem is that "LM print head must be reinstall" several times as well (after many trials that slightly this issue). Someone has any idea I can solve this problem or solve the problem, I spent several days on this subject, really frustrated. Thanks a lot for any input.

Make sure you jet direct network card has the latest version of the firmware.  Use HP download manager to upgrade the firmware of the card if necessary.  I guess that works of tracer and the error only occurs when you send a job or media profiles to the plotter.

  • I upgraded the firmware Sansa Clip & now I don't see the files I had previously in

Hi guys, this is my problem: I have a sansa clip v2, it worked fine until yesterday, when I updated the firmware with sansa updater; the upgrade went smoothly, but now my windows xp sp3 detects the drive because it was a normal penstick/external hd and I cannot see the files I already had in it: I can still listen to their - players works as usual - but, as I don't see them, I can't delete them! I tried the "hidden and system files" in folder options, but it did not help. I think that after the upgrade of the internal structure of the file has changed a bit, now it is: sound, music, audio books, podcasts, record, WMPinfo.xml, MTABLE. SYS, RES_INFO. SYS, SYS_CONF. SYS, version.sdk. I try to put a few new files in the folder "music" and it works perfectly, they appear in the player, so the problem is only with the 'old'; in fact, I would not delete them mind these files if it is not necessary, because I have them on my hard drive).

I hope someone can help me, thank you very much! (and please excuse my bad spelling & grammar, I'm Italian!  :-))

    1. pick up your player Sansa Clip - the physical drive you bought.

    2. activate.

    3. press the small 'home' button, the small button on the front of the item located at the top right of the Ferris wheel - it's the small button with the little house printed on it.

    4. press on the lower part of the wheel (at 06:00 position) until the screen shows the settings.

    5. press once on the right side of the wheel (at 03:00 position) to access settings options.

    6. press on the lower part of the wheel (at 06:00 position) until the display shows USB mode.

    7. press the right side of the wheel (at 03:00 position) once to enter USB mode options.

    8. tap up or down the Ferris wheel (at 12 and 06:00 positions) and select the USB setting menu is currently not checked (I think that this will be the PSG; ignore the setting "Auto", for the reasons I stated above), then select it by pressing the right side of the wheel (at 03:00 position).

    9. you have now set your video mode MTP USB drive.  Press the small home button twice to return to the regular game mode.

And that's all.  Now when you connect your player to Clip on your computer, your files should appear on your computer.  If they don't, repeat the above, but set the USB to the MSC mode.

    I hope this helps.

PS As I said earlier, the USB modes, the MSC mode (compared to the MTP mode) is more universal and will work on multiple computers.  If you use a video player on other computers, you can set your video player in MSC mode, to ensure that it will connect to other computers.  If this is the case and if your video player has been set to MTP mode so far, before changing the setting of mode USB mode MSC, to be able to see all files in the reader of your video on your computer, first copy the files from the drive of your music back to your computer delete them out of your video player, set the Clip Player USB Service mode weather of the Canada (see above) and then copy the files to your video player.  This ensures that you can see all the files of your video player when it is connected to your computer.

  • How to upgrade the firmware on my router e4200

Hello world. Sorry for the noob question, but I have been everywhere for this search.

I currently have the name of the model: Linksys E4200 Firmware version: 1.0.04)is build 11 software version: 1.4.12100.0

I am trying to upgrade to the second version, and up to date. (Version: 2.0) firmware. Links or how to do it? I tried to do it through my router settings under administration-> firmware update, but it will not refresh automatically. I need to find the real update file and update the firmware there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi you won't be able to upgrade your router to Version 2.0, since this version refers to the material. E4200 has 2 versions of material. The firmware version you have is for the V1 E4200 and you already have the most recent. No need to look for any other update, since you already have it.

  • Problem the firmware upgrade failed WRT54G v8.2

Today I tried to upgrade my WRT54G Router v8.2 for the latest Linksys firmware. But the upgrade was repeated each time when the progress bar reaches about 75%. It lasted more than 30 minutes and I had stopped the upgrade. Then the router has stopped working. I have reset and hard reset the router. I also tried the method of tftp to upgrade the firmware again. But the problem is still there. When I ping 192.168.1.1, I always get the message "Destination host unreachable". Could someone help me solve this problem? The power and light of the ethernet port light are always on. Is it possible to solve the problem? Any information is appreciated. Thank you very much.

Do not use the wireless computer to update the firmware. Hard-reset the router for 1 minute and try this link and check if it works...

  • M1000e with M610 Blade. iDRAC6 problems with the upgrade of the firmware 3.50 (Build 4) - "image downloaded missed the check" error

I have the blade that is a M610. its current 3.30 iDRAC6 Firmware version (Build 17), his version of BIOS is 6.0.7. I am trying to upgrade the firmware to 3.50 iDRAC (Build 4). I am upradging by the MCC on the M1000e chassis. I choose the slot of in that the blade is and then start the IDRAC GUI. I choose firmware update and select the firming.imc file that I used successfully on some other M610 blades. After about 30 seconds, he returned with the following error.

The uploaded image has no verification

    Why?

I came across the same problem (with a refurb M610, iDRAC firmware has been 2.20).

I tried to upgrade the iDRAC6 firmware to 3.60 via the web interface of iDRAC6 and it was a no go.

I tried several browsers (chrome and firefox) and same problem each time.
I tried to go to firmware (as shown in the accompanying note) 2.31 instead of 3.60 and same question every time.

I finally managed to update the firmware of the iDRAC6 by upgrading the web interface M1000e and not in the iDRAC6 web interface.

It worked the first time (using Chrome).

  • path of the firmware upgrade

Hi, I need go to the latest version 6.0.2.

What is the best path to take

    TIA

    Hello

FYI: The upgrade path is in the instructions to upgrade the firmware with the firmware version, to which you want to upgrade.

6.0.2-> 7.1.11->-> 9.0 8.1.4.   Not all type of controller supports 8.x or 9.x.  What model table do you currently have?

You will need to restart after each upgrade before loading the next version.

    If you are running VMware ESX/ESXi, you'll want to take a failure at least the first upgrade.  There is a problem with FW< 6.0.6-h2="" that="" can="" result="" is="" vmfs="" datastore="" corruption.=""  it's="" rare="" but="" shutting="" down="" prior="" to="" the="" upgrade="" would="" 100%="" prevent="">

Saw how the measures it will take, make a maintenance window is a good idea.

    Kind regards
