  I'm new to the blackberry smartphone application development. My requirement is to manage the sms sent from a blackberry smartphone like finding the number of SMS messages sent, the destination not like that. I tried running messagelistener, sendlistener and outboundmessagelistener, but something did not work well. So can someone please help me to solve my problem?

  FYI: 1. I've implemented outboundmessagelistener but couldn't find a way to add this port for listening to my request.

  2. I set up sendlistener and added to my application of the method SMS.addSendListener which does not also carry out my requriement.

  I'm on giffgaff (who has the phone accepts very well), but...

  1. I can only call a few people in my contact list. (at every time without problem) where others it disconnects right away when I try to call.

  2. I cannot sms only to individuals who have already sent me an sms, I can carry on a conversation but does not start with someone.

  3. some people I can txt I can't call and visa versa.

  I tried to make calls and txts in different places and times with the full signal strength. As I tried all the proposed problem fixed here. Yet, I still have the problem. I don't know if people have hurt to put a hand on me.

  Thanks for your detailed description, which helps us a lot. I recommend that you download blackberry protect and do a full backup. After the backup, please try reloading your software through blackberry desktop software or wipe a complete security. NOTE: all data will be lost during a wipe.

  For the indicator message for messages, press menu, select display folder, all search folders

  including the browser messages and WAP push messages. See if you can find it.

  Does anyone know what means the status indicator that resembles a smiling face with a red star on a look? He is the number 1 beside him. I know this means I have a kind of new message (or something) but no idea what or where.

  You find the icon for Yahoo or AOL and click on it. Look in any folder of applications, Instant Messaging folder or where ever. Look for BlackBerry Messenger too. Look for an icon with this same red asterisk indicating a new message.

  Could you hide it?  On your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL although SHOW EVERYTHING checked and look brand new.

  In the meantime, try a battery Pull:
  1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
  2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
  3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

  The battery charge indicator will disappear if the phone is in a dark place. If you turn on the light in the room or even shine a flashlight on the sensor just below the listener, you will see the battery charge indicator again. It has nothing to do with you keeping the device or not.

  It was reported on misconduct... weather Bluetooth that connects to the listener or the car. A software update its in the works earlier this month (June). I can't tell if that delivers its treaties or not since I am not fully aware at the moment, what this update will correct or improve.

  I have my SMS/MMS and separate emails and everything works fine.  I was curious but if there is a way to separate or filter the SMS and MMS messages.  I had a few pictures that sent me a few days ago and now I have to go to half way through my SMS/MMS messages to find.  Granted that I record in my accelerated, but some of them I want to just stick in case I wanted to deliver later.

  You can do a search to find just the MMS messages. If you go to the SMS and MMS press icon on the button menu and choose search. In this screen go to the "Type" section and change it to MMS. Can also change the 'Show' section to specify what MMS you want to appear. After you are done just to click on the menu button and choose search. You should get a filtered list showing you the MMS messages that relate to criteria that you set.

  Now if you want to save this search, you can perform the same actions as above, but when you first go in search just click on the menu button and choose new. Set your criteria of MMS, and when you save it you can give a touch of shortcut and title to this research. So the next time you go to your SMS and MMS icon you can just use a keyboard shortcut (ALT + R sat) quickly see your MMS messages.
