Info on printer

I have a HP Deskjet F 340 all in ONE

I bought a laptop with windows 7

I buy a Netgear G Router

The question, what do I need use the printer in another room to print remotely

Given that your printer has only a USB port your options are limited.  You can buy a router with a USB port for a printer or a print server wireless (which communicates wirelessly with your router, but has a USB port on your printer), you can buy.

The problem with these two options are that they support printing only, do not scan.  For about the same price and less hassle, go buy a new wireless printer. There are a few models available in the range of $100 to 150.

  • New router, same info. Printer does not connect. Help?

    I have a printer all-in-one Officejet 4620 wireless. I have a new router (the same brand and model brand new), and none of my info has changed. My printer does not connect to the internet more. Always has the info saved just does not connect. I had to re - enter the password in all my other wireless devices, but how do I do on this printer? I'm sure it's my fix. I have searched all over the Control Panel, all the web help HP, used the scan doctor and even called HP and they said that my warranty is out I have to pay for my support. Still an issue like this... Was a bit irritating. Or if I have to reset the printer to the factory and Redo setup wizard is too cool. I tried this one on board printer under network without success. Any help on this would be great! Thank you!!

  • Print 2 panels with a comfirm?

    I want to print 2 panels, a portrait, a landscape.

    Is it possible to confirm one, printing to the same printer?

    PrintPanel does not return the printer used.

    You can enumerate the printers in the system using this way some Win32API calls (here I am filling a listbox with printer on a reminder of button names):

    int CVICALLBACK EnumeratePrinters (int panel, int control, int event,
            void *callbackData, int eventData1, int eventData2)
    {
      int            error = 0;
      int            i, numPrt, needed;
      PRINTER_INFO_1 *pi = NULL;
      char           *z = NULL;

      if (event != EVENT_COMMIT) return 0;

      //BOOL EnumPrinters(
      // DWORD Flags, // printer object types
      // LPTSTR Name, // name of printer object
      // DWORD Level, // information level
      // LPBYTE pPrinterEnum, // printer information buffer
      // DWORD cbBuf, // size of printer information buffer
      // LPDWORD pcbNeeded, // bytes received or required
      // LPDWORD pcReturned // number of printers enumerated
      //);

      // Get required memory size
      EnumPrinters (
        PRINTER_ENUM_LOCAL,      // enumerate local printers
        NULL, // name of printer object
        1,                       // general printer info
        NULL,                    // printer information buffer
        0, // size of printer information buffer
        &needed,                 // bytes required
        NULL // number of printers enumerated
      );

      // Allocate memory
      z = malloc (needed);
      memset (z, 0, needed);

      // Enumerate printers

        needed, // size of printer information buffer
        &needed,                 // bytes required
        &numPrt // number of printers enumerated
      )) {
        MessagePopup ("Error", "Error in EnumPrinters.");
        error = GetLastError ();
        goto Error;
      }

      // Allocate structured memory
      pi = calloc (numPrt, sizeof (PRINTER_INFO_1));
      memcpy (pi, z, numPrt * sizeof (PRINTER_INFO_1));

      for (i = 0; i < numPrt; i++) {
        InsertListItem (panel, PANEL_LISTBOX, -1, pi[i].pName, i);
      }

      SetInputMode (panel, PANEL_PRINT, 1);

    Error:
      if (z) free (z);
      if (pi) free (pi);
      return 0;
    }

    The list of printers can be shown in a Panel "options" where the user can select which printer to use, after that you can print with that printer in this way:

    int CVICALLBACK PrintSome (int panel, int control, int event,
          void *callbackData, int eventData1, int eventData2)
    {
      int  idx;
      char name[64];

      if (event != EVENT_COMMIT) return 0;

      GetCtrlIndex (panel, PANEL_LISTBOX, &idx);
      GetLabelFromIndex (panel, PANEL_LISTBOX, idx, name);

      SetPrintAttribute (ATTR_PRINTER_NAME, name); // Specify which printer to use
      SetPrintAttribute (ATTR_PRINT_AREA_WIDTH, VAL_INTEGRAL_SCALE);
      SetPrintAttribute (ATTR_PRINT_AREA_HEIGHT, VAL_USE_ENTIRE_PAPER);

      PrintPanel (panel, "", 1, VAL_FULL_PANEL, 1);

      return 0;
    }

    Nevertheless, it is a little not intuitive and you need to dig and study some of the Win32APIs to get. You can support this idea CVI for an independent command that displays the print dialog box.

  • Add a printer to the network

    I just reimagee my Windows XP Tablet which has always been on my network home, share 2 printers and internet through a router with no server. Now I can't understand how to add the software to my Tablet then he can print to the Brother HL-2700CN color laser just attached to the router. Can I start by simply load the CD and choose a Standard Installation, non-personalized, then selecting either shared network printer (probably not since no server) or local-to-Peer Brother printer and no local printer cable (USB or parallel). The next page says 1. Search for the network (does not), 2. Specify your machine by IP address (what?) 3. specify your machine by the name of the node (what?)

    I have messed with it for too long and can not understand. I have thought of it when, since then he has worked in the past. Still, it prints from my other pc in the same situation on the home network. I can look at his installation somewhere?

    config info = the [printer] Setup information.   The instructions in theQuick Installation Guide for your printer, you download from HERE , provide instructions to print the parameters of the printer (configuration information).

    See print a printer settings Page 33 page in the PDF file, number as a31 page to print the printer configuration information. You simply press the buttonset on the time of three (3) printer and it should display a page with all the printer configuration information.  This information should contain the IP address of the printer.  Rerun the installation program that you did the other day and enter the IP address of the leaf, when you are prompted for the IP address of the printer.

  • printing from a Samsung computer

    Printing from a computer to an HP 6700 samsung.  On the file menu after touching printing don't preview, no preview and after hitting No. Print print. What I am doing wrong?

    healey100

    Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

    I don't know what you're doing wrong; I can offer the following in the hope that it might be useful.

    The problem is probably not directly related to your printer - print preview is driving application as it is the environment that helps choose the configuration of the printer.  In general, your environment must be set first - in other words, the printer must be installed, by default, selected on the network and ready to go - and then applications can use it.

    First of all, if you have not already done so, please install the full function of the printer software:

    Install full software features - OfficeJet 6700

    Make sure that your 6700 printer is assigned as default printer - assuming that it is the only printer on your network, this happens automatically.  However, if you tend to move everything from one place to another, maybe this isn't the case - you can verify that the printer you expect to see is indeed the "default".  In this case, you want this printer to the HP Officejet 6700.

    Control Panel > set display icon > devices and printers >

    Right click on your printer > ensure / select as default printer

    More info on print preview

    Change size print with preview before printing

  • printer says PSC 1200 Series: 'out of paper', but printer is not paper.

    Printer sucked into a pile of leaves, when I started to print a document, rather than a single sheet.  After removing the paper, I have re-load of paper to try new print job, but printing failed info and printer for this device says "on paper."   I was not able to clear this error despite the many re - start, re-loading paper, etc.

    I wonder if the paper sensing switch was damaged when it sucked up so much paper?  If so, actually that now require repair factory?    All possible solutions if it is that or something else?

    Okay - the printer is fixed, but not by me.  My brother took a glance and first determined that there always pulls paper in copy mode.  Who determined that it was not a hardware problem but a software problem.   I don't know the exact details of what he was doing then, but I think he has reinstalled the driver after uninstalling it and/or the software of the printer.   He started again, and Windows 7 has recognized that the pilot and that solved the problem.

    Technical support did not come to the top with that answer - they said it was a faulty sensor and that it could not be repaired and I have to buy a new printer.

    Thank God we don't listen to HP technical support.

  • print image even out but different dimensions

    I print the same image, but the image is another dimension when I print I need help

    I don't change anything

    Have you printed all the other photos in the meantime because you printed edited this picture?  If so, it is possible that something has changed.

    One way to keep a configuration of printing is to click on the tab [create saved print], which saves the photo and the page layout in a Collection 'print '. You can then retrieve the exact same photo and the configuration in the control panel collections at any time in the future.

    (Press [i] to toggle info window print design).

    Where is the predefined model print?

    In the panels on the left side, there is the sign "Model Explorer. Here are the templates provided by Adobe, but they may not suit your needs!

    For example the model (1) 4 x 6 you would think is for 4x6in paper but actually for A4 paper and 4x6in cell margins. (shown in the Preview Panel)

    Another clue is - when you did a print design that works and which prints correctly, save a 'model' (click on the + in the model browser header). These "model user" will be available to use again with any Photo.

    Do a complete review of all settings in the dialog box the printer Configuration and layout of LR panels. I hope that the success that will prevail.

    And another thought! -you have checked the option "Zoom to fill" - If your photo image is not in the proportions of the exact dimensions of the mesh report, there will be some cropping of the photo with the edges of the photo deleted.

    HP deskjet 5150 printer

    Windows 7 Home Premium - 64-bit

    Info computer printer shows NO 5150 hp deskjet 5100 installed,

    No change - computer was new

    I installed my printer hp deskjet 5150, following the signs to a new Dell computer.

    Windows 7 automatically installed the driver from the usb cord was plugged to the computer (it was connected first to the printer).

    Tested the printer by typing a few lines in a Word document, and the printed page.

    However, I noticed that the Dell info on printer shows printer installed is hp deskjet 5100, 5150 not.

    Also, I don't get the screen indicating the ink remaining in the cartridge when I print a page.

    I get a message when the cartridge is low or it prints everything, just not when the cartridge is empty:

    Is the print driver for the hp deskjet printer 5100 the same as for the deskjet 5150 printer?

    I don't want to buy another printer because of the expense.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ouaenre

    The driver is the driver for Deskjet 5100 series which includes the Deskjet 5150.  If you wish you can change the name - go to start devices and printers, click with the right button on the properties of printer deskjet 5100, and then type a new name in the text box, OK.

    There is not a Toolbox in the Windows 7 drivers, the paper here is workarounds.

I adjusted the margins and the header/footer settings and that did not solve the problem. Any help is appreciated. Have an officejet all-in-one 4620.

    I solved the problem myself... I printed some photos and on properties that I chose without borders, as opposed to (default) border... by trial and error, I found that it was the problem. When I chose with border, the info will print correctly.
