  • Problem with Qosmio F750 WEBCAM IR (infrared)

The colors gets bad when I use the webcam on my Qosmio F750W10. Red gets pink and black tend to be blue/violet.
Using an IR - CUT filter in front of the camera gives the correct colors and using an IR-open (visible light of all farm) the camera still sees everything in black and white.
My conclusion is that the camera has not or an IR filter which does not work.

This is a mistake with the built-in webcam or Toshiba was using a cheap camera arc * y in this expensive computer?

The problem is worse when I am sitting under a halogen lamp, guess, she radiates more infrared.

And Yes, I tried all the settings of the software available! And yes I have reinstalled the operating system and drivers!

    Anyone experienced this?

    Kind regards.

    Hello

As far as I know the internal webcam supports a resolution of 1Mpix (16:9)
Of course external webcams supporting a higher resolution would provide the best image quality but external webcam are much larger than the internal webcam modules.

However, I can get good quality picture in bright rooms.

Also I had to remove the protection of the purpose of the cam journal I have not noticed this in the past and the quality of the image was not really good because of the sheet on the front of the webcam

  • Problem with eHome Infrared Receiver Driver

I have an IR receiver USB that I got from Dell which came with my old computer (XPS 210, I had to have my computer replaced if... the motherboard was fried on this subject). When I plug in the usual Windows searches for a driver and install. The driver for this is "eHome Infrared Receiver (USBCIR)" as it is listed in the device under USB devices Manager. After installation there is a green light on the receiver and everything works great, works by remote control (supplied with the receiver) very well as well.

However, whenever I restart my computer, Windows detects the device again only as an unknown device. The receiver doesn't have a light on this subject, so it does not work. So that this work once again, I have to unplug and plug it in again.

I tried to uninstall the device in Device Manager and install the driver again, but this does not solve the problem. I also tried different locations USB... does not help. I do not use hubs USB, just the slots on the tower. All my other USB devices work fine.

I already searched the internet to find that apparently no one knows this problem. The receiver worked fine with my old computer, nothing was wrong. My old comptuer ran Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit (x 86) but this one runs the same only 64-bit, could be the problem.

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate (x 64-Bit)

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi guys,.

Did you guys check with Dell to see if they provide a 64-bit driver for the remote update? or with Phillips?  The firmware may need to be updated too if possible.

  • Qosmio F20-130: (infrared) remote control problem

    Hi guys,.

got a little problem which I think I've seen on this forum before. My remote no longer works. Used to work properly. Now, with the laptop turned off and connected remotely, I can light up the lap top. However, it does nothing else. If I press a button, the red light on the remote flashes and the Red led on the receiver will Flash but nothing seems to happen.

I checked in device manager and I have tried using another USB cable to connect the infra-red receiver. Any ideas on what could be the problem? There is no secret key which I pressed by accident is there which disables the remote control?

    Dave

    Hello

I put t know if it helps but try to remove this command remotely in the Device Manager and unplugged the unit. After the new trial to restart to connect the remote control again.
In addition, please check the batteries. I know the flesh of lights but nevertheless check.

  • cursor problems

    Hello

The cursor on my MacBook Air selects texts, emails or icons out of the Blues; the cursor moves to other locations during the strike and does not allow to type a complete sentence. I disabled all the gestures the trackpad section of system preferences, I started the Mac Safeboot mode a couple of times and nothing has solved the problem. It's a MacBook Yosemite 10.10.5 2012.

Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

There are several possible causes for the behavior. Please take each of the following steps that you have not already tried until it is resolved. Some may not apply in your case.

    1. follow the instructions provided in this support article, so this one, as appropriate. A damaged or defective power adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.

2 simultaneously press the four corners of the trackpad and release. If there is no effect, it is likely to be temporary, and in this case the device must be repaired or replaced.

    3. disconnect or turn off each Bluetooth or USB pointing device, one at a time, testing as you go. You may be able to identify one that is defective. By a pointing device "," I mean a device that moves the cursor, trackpad, mouse, trackball, or tablets. A regular keyboard isn't a pointing device. If you have a desktop without a built-in trackpad design, at least an external pointing device must be active at all times.

    4. If your model has an infrared receiver for use with an Apple Remote, turn off .

    5. This step is applicable if you are using a Mac laptop with a built-in trackpad, and you also use an external mouse or trackpad. Open the accessibility in System Preferences pane, and select mouse and Trackpad in the menu on the left. Check the box marked

Ignore the built-in trackpad when mouse or a trackpad wireless is present

Credit for this observation to the members of the CSA PattMK.

    6. reset the system management controller.

    7. If you use a mouse or a trackpad, Bluetooth, investigate potential interference sources, including 3 USB devices.

    8. a swollen in a laptop battery can encroach on the trackpad underneath and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, it is probably the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.

    9. a faulty device or a damaged cable can cause the built-in trackpad to a MacBook to behave erratically. If you use the wired devices, disconnect them one at the time and the test.

    10. There is also a report of movement erratic cursor caused by an external display that was plugged in but not turned on.

    11. If you use transfer, disable it in the general pane of system preferences.

    12. If the mirroring of airtime to a TV is turned on, turn it off.

    13. If none of the above apply, or if you have another reason to believe that your computer is remotely controlled, pull it out of the network by turning off Wi - Fi (or your Wi - Fi access point), disconnect a Bluetooth network connection, then unplug the Ethernet cable or a USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the movement of the cursor stops at the same time, you should suspect an intrusion.

    14. an appointment of 'Genius' in an Apple store to do the machine or the tested external trackpad.

  • Portege M100 problems

I recently had to return my laptop to get a defective hard drive replaced and have found it difficult to re - install all drivers for W2K. I don't hold any recovery CD.

After installing W2K, Manager of devices has about 11 items requiring pilots (and a single unknown device). I installed these drivers on the Toshiba site for this model but could not do any support to see if they were to be installed in any particular order. Device Manager now seems to be correct, but I still have problems with the Modem (Toshiba Software Modem). The diagnostics tab reports that the modem could not open a port.

  • Qosmio F50 - 10 M - infrared driver for Windows 7 64 bit missing

I want to change my OS from VISTA (32 bit) to Windows 7 (64-bit), I'm on downloading all the drivers needed for the proper functioning of my laptop in the future.

When the choice of my laptop (Qosmio F50 - 10 M) and operating system (Windows7 - 64 bit) there is no more infrared driver (for my remote).

Do I need to have a driver for the infrared interface (which I have and is downloadable with VISTA32)?
If Yes, where can I get it?

Thank you very much for the help!

    Kind regards
    starmind

    Hi Starmind_1,

I n t have remote to test my Qosmio F50 so that I can t but if there is no driver for Windows 7, I guess that the 64 bit Vista driver should work fine on Windows 7. In addition most Vista drivers also work on Windows 7 so it s worth a try! :)

But from my own experience, I can say that Windows 7 64 bit works like a charm on Qosmio F50 and in my opinion better than Vista. I used all the drivers from the official website of Toshiba and don t have problems.
    Everything works great! :)

  • Satellite P10 infrared device question

    I have the following question:
I'm trying to connect a mobile phone via an infrared connection and use it as a modem GPRS under Windows XP Home SP2 on a Satellite P10 874. When the phone is in range, the laptop detects via the infrared port and I can upload files to the phone.

In order to use it as a modem, I need to install a modem with the phone driver. But there is no infrared COM serial port in the list of ports (like the P10 has no serial port COM, there are not), so I can't create a new modem.

Is it possible somehow to create a standart (for Windows) com port via the infrared port of the P10 (I think it's the way work the drivers of some infrared USB cards - create a virtual com port) so that I can create a modem for the mobile phone.

    Hi, Simeon,.

I sometimes use my mobile phone as a modem, but I use it via Bluetooth. In my opinion, is that infrared is good for data transfer but is not fast enough for the Internet (speed limit of 4 Mbps) connection. Data transfer rate is too low and the connection can be interrupted. As far as I know that it is not possible to choose any COM port in your case.

For small data transfer with the mobile phone's infrared adequate, but for the internet connection where you transfer speed to build a page it will be not enough quickly.

My suggestion to you: pick up some information about Bluetooth technology and it will be ideal for you. I use my Bluetooth phone and it works perfectly. Setup was very easy.

If you make a decision to make connection through Bluetooth and there may be a few problems I can help you.

    Good day.

M200 with a GB of memory and all the usual gubbins. Recently applied SP2. also, I tried (without success) to uninstall this P in sw A Norton anti-virus. I usually prefer a combinaiton of McAfee and Zone Alarm 2

Problem is that when I try and select the properties of a file (that is send via an infrared connection or attach it to a message recipient), the crashses of the Explorer window. I find myself also get accidents such as

I thought at some point it might be a problem with ZoneAlarm but who have turned off with no improvement.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

I don't know, but as far as I know you can remove the Norton if you check all entries in Add and remove programs in the control panel. One of my friends told me that there are a few entries, and you must be lucky to pick a good one. As TOS said trying to work through.

  • Tecra 730CDT and infrared port

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me. I have a 730CDT I know it is very old, but it has an IR port, and I thought that I would be able to get on the internet by connecting to my phone via infrared and using the phone as a modem, I know the internal modem cannot be used with mobile phones. The questions are: how to activate the IR port? I looked in the electronic manual under IR port, but all that appears is "diagnostic" and if I can activate the IR port successfully, so should I disable the internal modem before you connect the mobile phone? If anyone can help I would appreciate a lot that I'm going to Italy in the next few days and really need to be able to connect to the internet with the laptop. I'm not all clued up technically so denominated fool proof would be as good!
    Linda

    Hello, Linda

In my opinion the infrared data transfer speed is too slow, if you want to use the mobile phone as a modem. The problem is that connection can break down very often. Wireless or Bluetooth connection is much better.

In any case, I found information that your device a infrared port. Usually the infrared port should be listed in the Device Manager and must be activated. The infrared option must be enabled on the mobile phone too. In this case, the mobile phone must be recognized by laptop.

Next step is to add new modem (mobile phone) on the phone and modem options the tab of phone and modem options modem that you can find under the control panel.

If the modem is successfully added create a connection manually please and define which modem should be used (mobile phone), provider name and phone number that needs to connect by modem.

You have installed the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery disk? The recovery disk is important because if you can ensure that all the functions work without problems and on this disc are all the drivers and tools include.
