Ink cartiridge 57?

I have a HP officejet 5610 for several years and it works well. I want to buy the new ink cartiridge but this time I saw a 56 and 57 cartiridge comboset. 57 it fits to my printer? Of the instrution book only 56 and 58 were listed. 57 are usable in my printer?

Hi Pearhorse,

I just checked HP sure supply, and cartridges 56 and 58 are supported for your HP Officejet 5610 printer.  HP 57 will not work with this printer.

I use a new printer HP ENVY 7645. I do a lot of printing, and the black cartridge that is more important that I use for a few months. I have used remanufactured cartridges and my own ink for all my printers until then. Now, all of a sudden, HP tells me that an original cartridge must be used as evidenced by the fact that the remanufactured cartridges will not work. I clean the cartridges. HP has to realize that the cost of a cartridge is $ 35.00 at Walmart and the purchase of 3 cartridges is equivalent to buyiing a new printer. I've also seen printers for less than $50.00. HP must unlock codes to the printer so that the remanufactured cartridges can be used. In my case, if it doesn't happen soon, I'm going to buy another printer and it will not be a HP.

If the printer is going through the motions of printing and has no error message then the printer is doing his job and trying to print.  If there is no ink on the page it is probably a problem with the cartrdige - maybe a printhead clogged because of incompatible ink or air bubbles in the drain pipe or some other problem.  Try the following:

    • Print a print quality diagnostics page.

      1. Load size A4 or US Letter, unused, plain, white paper into the input tray.
  • Why my printer HP Officejet 6600 uses color ink even if I'm not printing in color?

I've had this printer about a year now. I replaced the full range of ink at least 3 times now, working on 4. I don't post much at all. A couple of leaves a day or two. I always thought she was using color ink very quickly so I thought I'd put it to the test. I changed the default settings in black ink only. I have replaced all the ink cartiridges, color and black. I decided this time I would not print anything in color just to see what happened. Well, the same thing is happening as if I were with color ink. The color ink is empty much faster than black ink. This seems weird to me. Now, we are at the point where it will not be printed unless I have replace the magentia. It seems unfair that they do not mention this clearly when you buy the item. Something like "Oh, by the way, we are not making enough money doing business as it should, then we will make replace you your ink supply, even if it is really not necessary and must take over." I paid for a new printer already with ink costs. Is there a way around this problem or am I stuck with it. Thank you.

When you set the printer to print grayscale has also selected "black ink"? only

HP and other printer manufacturers have technology another printer for different needs.

    • Some have integrated into the ink cartridges print heads.  These printers can print generally with one or more of the colors completely empty, or even with color or black cartridges (but not both) removed. The Deskjet 6980 series is an example.
    • Other printers have separate replaceable printheads and inks.  An example would be the printer Officejet 8600.  In these printers print head can be replaced if they are damaged by running the printhead with colors off.  Some of these printers allow printing with a color, the other will not.  If the printer is run without ink in one or several colours, the printer may be damaged, but the user may be able to recover without having to send to the printer for the service.
    • Other printers have permanent print heads.  To run only those without little ink in all colours would risk causing damage to the printhead due to clogs, air ingested in the grilled printheadvor printhead resistances of shooting. The Photosmart 6600 series is an example of this type of printer. For printers with fixed print heads that could require the service to get the printer to print properly again when the ink is finally replaced.

The document described here how the ink is used.  The document is written for inkjet printers HP the same principles apply to printers inkjet from other manufacturers.

  • Empty ink does not print

I have a HP Officejet 4620e, my printer suddenly stopped printing black ink.  I tried all the solutions I found online to no availl.  The printer is out of warranty.  Ink cartiridges are all genuine HP cartridges, black ink is the new cartridge and tried to clean the printheads several times to nothing does not.  What to do next?

Hi Ed, you have a 4620 and you are based in the United States, I would advise to call HP telephone Support, regardless of who you are out of warranty, you will probably need a replacement. Can you please let me know how you go?

  • My c7280 all-in-one tells me to "open the door, clear cartridge Jam".

-J' tried the doors and came out all ink cartiridges... which door? and what I am doing wrong?

Since the error message you received, I see you have a transport problem Jam.  Have you looked inside the printer, to the right of the cart that contains the ink cartridges, to check that it is not a small amount of paper in the printer?

Thus, there are additional steps to troubleshoot a carriage jam, found here, in the document provided by HP.  I hope this helps.

Every night (a1) and (a2) Aurora built updated every day, so if you use such a developer version you will see an update every day (sometimes more than once a day in the case of a respin). These alpha versions are more intended to be experienced testers, because you may experience stability and regression of the questions at any time. The beta version (currently Firefox 25) can be useful for testing Web sites to see if they're going to get broken in the next Firefox release and file a bug report, if necessary.

Note that you must always install such version of development alongside a stable version and use a separate profile for each version folder.
