Ink error state level window Deskjet 2050 A

Dear Forum,

I installed a new black cartridge for Deskjet 2050 A J510 series it's printing as it should. But there is a problem with the verification of the State of the cartridges.

When I select the option to view ink levels programs said that it is impossible to establish a two-way connection to the printer. I also discovered that the link with the computer scanning does not work. It just says: unable to connect to "printer cannot be found.

The strange thing is that prints as it should when I use it in Word or if I have something to scan with the device by buttons.

I would like to have some help since the reinstallation did not help in the diagnosticprograms could not find a problem

You reinstall from the CD? If so, lets try uninstalling the printer and using the driver download instead (link below). In addition, if you connect to the printer via a USB cord you should unplug it during the uninstall process and not plug it back until the software directs you to.

To do this and let me know how it goes - as well, have a great day!

Does anyone know why the shortcut of printer HP Deskjet 2050 has more estimated ink level functionality?  That is until 05/12/12, and now the entire window has changed. "Now it has only the options to 'See whats printing' and 'Customize your printer' Set preferences.  I can't find any reference to the updates that may have changed, so I have no restore points.  The only thing that has changed recently is the new version of the HP Support Assistant.  This would have an effect on the printer software?

  • HP Deskjet 2050 J510a: Windows cannot update 10 driver

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and found that my printer is out of print correctly. I'm trying to update the drivers, however, when I try and uninstall the old drivers, I get a message saying that the software cannot be installed on XP, Vista and Windows 7.

If I try to install the new drivers anyway (I use "DJ2050_J510_1313 - 1.exe" (whose Web site claims is compatible with Windows 10), I get the same error.)

Any ideas how I'm supposed to install the latest drivers for this product?

    Hi @geoffwiand @mweaver1.

I'm currently downloading the software package for the Deskjet 2050 (file name: DJ2050_J510_1313 - 1.exe). Although I don't have the impression that is imparted to me, I was able to complete the installation of the software. I could not however, complete the installation of the product, but the software is installed without problem. In my view, the problem you are experiencing may have to do with the registry of the computer, or something else computer.

I suggest running the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker. If you do not know how, you can use the following link for instructions: System File Checker: run sfc/scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 10 / 8 / 7.

  • Error scanning WIA for Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060

    I can't scan with a Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060.

HP Print and Scan doctor said that the error is the Windows WIA. It says HP TWain scanning and other tests are fine, not that I know how to do a TWAIN scan with it.

Reading another post, I can confirm that "detecting hardware Kernel ', 'Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)' and 'RPC Remote Procedure Call ()' is running in automatic mode in the services list.

My printer reacts to an application to scan and seems likely to be an analysis sometimes, but the software seems to act as if it receives nothing back from the scanner?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers twice without success.

    Hi Oto,

In India, you should buy the black and color ink cartridges HP 802, then you should contact the HP support and reset the printer in your area:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/in/en/contact-HP/phone-assist.html#section1

Be aware that resetting the printer to the India only 802 ink cartridges will be accepted by the printer unless you be able to return for another area in the future, be also well aware that this process is limited and cannot be more than 2 or 3 times for the device.
