Inkjet printers older generation

Just tried to install 4 new inks 364xl in my photosmart 5524. Received the following message.

Older generation printers ink jet installed.

After having looked this up I find these inks are not compatible with my printer. WHAT A JERK

Admitedly, I bought these inks a while back for a previous printer, that's why I bought a printer that has had the same inks.

Nowe, I do or should I what are HP will do.

Check the warranty for cartridges as shown in the document here.  If the cartridges are still in warranty contact HP for replacement.

My father just bought a new iMac as recommended by my brother and me.

He has an older iPod Touch which is limited to run only the e/s 6. Google will not let him connect to iTunes without losing the warranty on his new computer.  It took us hours with Google to solve this problem to restore his computer his original warranties. I also have the same older generation iPod Touch but have not tried to connect to iTunes over the years. It has 32 M music and nothing else.

If there is no solution to this problem, can I connect a new iPod Touch (Christmas gift) to his old iPod Touch with a USB female to female USB with the 30 pin in the old unit connector and the connector of the lightning in its new unit? Direct transfer of old data to the new unit?

  • Envy 4500: Envy 4500 help "for the older generation of printer cartridge.

I recently purchased a 4500 want and need a cartridge replacement for the first time today, so I bought a pack HP combo, black and Tri-couleur, NUMBER 61 at Walmart. After receiving the error "Cartridge for the older generation of printer" I did some research to see that this is a common problem but was unable to find out how to get a refund or a replacement cartridge. Obviously, I opened the package the cartridge came in so I can't go back to Wal-Mart, nor do I feel that I have it back to them because it is intact and open.

Please let me know how I can go about getting a replacement of HP cartridge or a refund of my purchase. Again, I bought exactly what the sticker inside the printer indicates "61" so I think it should definitely be covered by HP. If they had simply given the cartridge required a different number, it simply avoidable.

Thank you for your help on this!

I called HP and they told me that I had to go back to Walmart for a refund. Only after that I did they would replace my 2 cartridges if Wal-Mart does not. I have already learned by Wal-Mart that they won't take them back because they are open and there is nothing visibly wrong with them. I explained to my HP representative that I would sell my HP printer and put an end to my relationship with HP. It was only after I said what he said HP would replace my cartridges, but that it was a 'one time with permission' and that I needed to be more careful in the future.

HP please let me be clear, you do not have me any courtesy, the way I see things you did was to correct your own fault. I did appreciate really not how the incident turned as if it was my fault that I bought the wrong cartridge. I would have had much less of a problem with that if HP had apologized and admitted that they had made a mistake. I'll keep this interaction in mind next time I'm considering purchasing an HP product.

If anyone had this same problem in the future do not waste your time, just call HP directly and be very clear with what you would like to do.

My 2620 Officejet Gets the "cartridge for the older generation to printer" message when I try to use black charged 61XL or cartridges and it will not be printed with them.  Is it because I'm using XL cartridges instead of standard cartridges or is it because they are recharged cartridges?  Y at - it an update of the firmware or a way around him, to cross the message and the printer to print anyway? • question about inkjet printers and take care of them

    Hello

I think to buy a series inkadvantage printer. I am reluctant to go to an inkjet printer because I know of ink drying issues and I'm a light user. Sometimes I would not use the printer for a month or more. My question is if it will last with such a model of use.

I read printers generally do a periodic nozzle cleanings when left. If I keep the printer on all the time that guarantees nozzles will be fine? Or do I have to take extra precautions? Or am I stuck with printer not not last long?

    Thank you.

PS HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 e-all-in-one printer does good photo prints?

The print head is built into the cartridge, see the example below...

If you are printing only rarely, so my experience a printer IPH is a better option. The advantage of ink series has a range of different printers. Will they have 4 or 5 cartridges, then they IIC (individual ink cartridges with the printhead being separated). If they have 2 cartridges (mono and tricolor), then it is HPI.

  • All-in-one HP Photosmart 3310: 2 HP inkjet printers different... same problem

The time which was formerly set via the network apparently to I remember ever setting the time on one or the other. Today, I noticed for the first time that both of the printer are turned off as follows:

HP Photosmart 3310 all-in-One - Time is 19:43 locally the printer indicates 19:12 (thirty minutes slow).

HP Photosmart Premium Fax C309a series - time is 19:43 locally the printer indicates 19:35 (slow 8 minutes).

Two of these printers previously seemed auto-sync the time on the display panel. Is it possible that my ISP has started to block the NTP port or something?

Hmm, no, I just connected to 0.pool.ntp.org via ntpdate on my linux machine, and he was not blocked. So it's something on these printers has gone wobbly.

    Hi @tcagle53,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request for time to printer.

I understand that you have 2 printers and a HP Photosmart 3310 HP Photosmart Premium Fax, and each printer is showing incorrect. I would like to help.

The printer usually have the user set the time and Date when the printer is in the configuration. Sometimes things like power outages or to unplug the printer can cause time to read properly.

You can set the time to the correct time using the printer control panel.

To set the time on the HP Photosmart 3310 device:

To set the time on the HP Photosmart Premium Fax:

    1. press on the installation program button.

    2. press the button arrow down to select Preferencesand then press OK.

    3. press the down arrow button to select the Date and timeand press OK.

I was not aware of the printers synchronization automatically at the time of the computer, but sometimes the built-in Web server (EWS of the printer) will have a setting "Synchronize with the time on the PC" that can be selected if the printer is used on a network.

Once the built-in Web server is in charge there should be a tab somewhere near the top of the window.  If you click on Date and time parameters should be able to be selected on the left side. If the sync option of the printer with the computer time is available it usually a checkbox to check before you click apply. Printer not all have this option.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

    Thank you!

  • Photosmart 6520: old generation cartridges

I just changed my blue and pink ink cartridges.  Now I get the message for the older generation of printer ink cartridges.  These are HP cartridges that I got at Sams Club.  They are just like those in it except here is the XL.  I replaced the with the Sams cartridges before without any problem.  I don't have the packaging.  I bought a few months when I need to replace black.  I had a package of color and black in the XL.  What can I do?  I bought 2 packs you can I just buy more?

    Hi @rubeckf,

I may be able to point you in the right direction for this error message.

According to this document on the resolution "more Incompatible cartridge" Message, the cartridge should be replaced.

Do you know if they are genuine HP cartridges? Anti-Counterfeit HP-identify genuine HP cartridges : HP recommends that you use genuine HP cartridges. HP does not guarantee the quality or reliability of the ink cartridges not HP or full HP ink cartridges. If you don't use a genuine HP ink cartridges, the steps in this post could not solve the problem you experience. We could also see how supplies no HP compared to reloaded cartridges or reconstructed according to the buyers lab report.

I would also see limited warranty for print HP ink and print heads replaceable by the customer of consumables HP inkjet cartridges.

If you believe that the cartridge is a genuine product of HP, Contact the HP Support for help. Check the model number and the form to receive a case number. You can view all the other ways to connect with HP in their list of support Options.

NOTE: HP cannot extend the warranty to cartridges not HP, filled or remade. You will need to return the cartridge for them.

  • Inkjet Canon i9900 Photo printer

Why can not load driver software on my laptop drive? Why Microsoft makes that difficult to do the simplest thing, such as adding the printer driver for the i9900 for my laptop? As usual giant pain in * compatibility issues with Windows 7. I should have listened to my friends Apple. I hate Microsoft.

I already did it. From the Canon site for the driver software was the fist thing I tried, and everything I have downloaded do not open or run on my computer laptop windows 7. I just get error messages compatibility. Just does not work. should not be this difficult. I can not print this portable form on this printer. Period. And it's really really frustrating.

What exactly did you download?  The only Windows 7 download for your printer (the site bound by Josh-H) which is in the 'Pilot' category is not actually your printer driver.  Read the Description of the 'file' to download.  I insisted on the most important part:

This software is a module that extends the functionality of the printer driver for Canon inkjet printers. Your printer must be installed through Microsoft Update before you download and use this module. By installing this software, you can use the printer driver to configure the functions of treatment and compensation for the data of images such as photographs.

Please begin to run and explain why you "failed to load the driver software disk."  What is going on?  What is the complete error message you get, without paraphrasing?

And identify which version of Windows you have, including the service pack.

  • can I travel by plane with a HP laser printer or inkjet

need to know if HP laser printer or inkjet can be transported by air

and he agreed with carry-on baggage or luggage?

For most HP inkjet printers I would say do not transport them by air. Most of them have a spittoon based on the service station and there will be liquid ink in it so that the printer must stand at all times or you can have a mess on your hands and clothing and the seats.

HP sells some portable inkjet printers, and those would be much better for the trip.

Air transport will not hurt a LaserJet printer, but you should remove the toner cartridge and put it in a plastic bag in a padded container.

Where possible when you move a fairer LaserJet printer across the room you need to remove the toner cartridge or cartridges when it's a color machine.

  • V313 inkjet printer will not print any color

I have cleaned, aligned, clean the print head, installed the ink cartridges new (which are from Dell), uninstalled and reinstalled software... nothing worked.  Before, I have to go out and buy a new printer... I'd like to see if I can fix it.  Anyone has more suggestions please?

    Thank you

    Teresa,

Sorry to hear about your luck with Dell inkjet printers. Lexmark to predict this Dell printer. As Lexmark came out of the printer business, finding solutions to these printers and drivers slowly fades. When shopping for a new printer, make sure that it has all the features you are looking for.

I scan, copy and print often. I don't have a phone line, fax, so it's not a big problem. I have a printer Dell V715w, similar to your printer. I replaced the print head once and it worked flawlessly, until children are at the dry ink cartridges. If you print a lot, consider a Laser printer.

  • the paper size, and paper also prints the profile color inkjet

I intend to use an inkjet printer to print at least one (or more) copies of a drawing of YOUR CONTINUOUS created in Ps CC 2015. I have several questions about the TYPE of DOCUMENT and the ADVANCED OPTIONS:

1 Wkind of hat of paper do I need to buy, and should I use one of the presets U.S. PAPER?

    2. If I don't want to design to BLEED on paper, should I create the design that is smaller than the HEIGHT and WIDTH I choose (e.g. would allow a larger size such as 8.5 x 11 for the margins between the edge of the paper and the design itself)?

    3. is it true that inkjet printers are usually set to 240 and, therefore, the image of RESOLUTION must not exceed (eg. something higher is too much data for the printer to process in a reasonable period of time and there is no difference in quality anyway)?

    4. should I work in RGB mode and CONVERT them to CMYK when I finish the design?

5 should I use the default PROFILE of COLOR RGB (sRGB IEC61966-2, 1), Adobe RGB (1998), the "color management this document" option, or some other?

You'll want to experiment with the printer.  Save copies of the file in separate RGB profiles as I explained in my post.  You will be surprised on the different color prints, you will be able to achieve.  As you work in a workspace 'closed circuit', you can print RGB strictly.  This will allow a wider range through the barrel.  Certainly use color management in the print driver.  For what is the resolution of the image, use the 140 to 150 pixels per inch.  No interest to enter in the halftone screening technology platform.  Suffice it to say, 300 pixels per inch is unnecessary and too much data for inkjet.

  • LeanPrint with ink jet printers

LeanPrint is compatible with inkjet prints?

    Hello

    Welcome to the Adobe Forums.

Yes, Adobe LeanPrint can be used with laser and inkjet printers. Adobe LeanPrint significantly reduced the use of paper and toner when printing in browsers and popular applications. You can also check an independent validation of the savings achieved by Adobe LeanPrint here.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

    Kind regards

  • Broken color managed printing?

Color of Adobe Lightroom CC 2015.6 printing management (6.6) are broken and Adobe suggests that this is due to a change of Apple in their operating system.  True or false?

    ml https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/Unexpected-Colors-when-Printing-Mac.HT

Yes, printing from 2015.5 CC Photoshop and Lightroom CC 2015.6 on Mac OS for inkjet printers using custom paper profiles causes weird results.

Fortunately I am using older versions of Photoshop and Lightroom where this issue does not arise.

    Windows users are not affected.

Some Mac users have tried with some success in the slope to an earlier version of CC see this report: install older versions of Cloud Creative applications

It is clearly a problem of Adobe and will not be solved until they update Photoshop and Lightroom.
