• S2440L Ant inside cover of glass at the front

  I have a strange problem with my Dell S2440L Monitor - 2 opposes inside the front glass - one is an Ant and other is a tiny particle of pixel size of 3-4. I don't know how it came.   I'm new in InDesign, if I have some experience with Illustrator and Photoshop, so the menus and toolbars are familiar.

  I tried to find a tutorial that will teach me how to set up a book cover. I want to talk about the basic layout only. For example, I can create a work plan for the front, one for the back and one for the backbone. I can provision each and bring exactly as I want it, but I can't understand how to create a work plan unique where I have it all together and can easily adjust the spine to adapt to changes in the number of pages.

• How to integrate the fields predefined in a design?

  I'm working on a model that is in SVN and which was not initially with areas.

  I've created a few areas in my defaultdomain.xml, changed some of the fields to be used for these new domains, registered the project are committed to svn changes.

  Kent thanks for the help, I've been checking what you suggested and the file has not been created.

  Even do what was suggested by the user13430807 (the checkbox 'Import into default fields' disabled when importing to the design) also unsolved.

  But with your suggestions reminded that the application may have a validation of imported domain names, and if they existed in the defaultdomains.xml were not imported into the design (even with the uncheked checkbox).

  If step 3 in may case does not happen because the names match those already in the areas by default file, and therefore the domain file does not end up added to the versioned directory.

  The way I solve it was:

  1. Copy the file defaultdomains.xml which contains all the areas that I have created and are used in another folder, rename it as myDomains.xml.
  2. Close to the design. Go to tools-> domain Administration, remove all of the areas that I created and save.
  3. Open the drawing and go ├a import-> Domains, select the myDomains.xml and importing ("Import in the default fields" option is unchecked)
  4. Save the project.
  5. Automatically, the application creates and adds the file /domains with the file myDomains.xml inside to svn.
  6. Close and reopen the design in order that the tables column displays correctly using these areas.

  A minor problem was add the new domain folder svn, the 4EA2 gives an error about it, but using turtle has been added without major problems. This error seems to be the same already reported in https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2588157.

  It was not necessary to change the directory to the default fields, I'll check with another Member of the team but I think that will solve the problem that Kent has shown on multiple designs, in fact, I need to do more tests.

  I was wondering how to control access to the configuration manager link inside app designer go to menu.
  I see options like Data Mover and security definition of objects is managed via the permissions list, while the 'configuration manager' and "replay cache app server" is not there.
  
  Interesting thing is when I take the role of 'administrator' Peoplesoft out user profile, 2 items - config manager and app server cache links went in the menu go.
  
  Is there another way, you can control access to these links, other than the "peoplesoft Administrator role.

  The don t cracks appear after the replacement of the new coverage. I put t know exactly what they were doing, but I assume that they used the new cover design. The area near the hinges must be firmer. You should simply ask ASP for replacement again.

• About to lose my mind: burn to DVD

  Hello dear users of Adobe Forums.

  I've been here previously for a problem concerning the grainy images when burning on DVD: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1622000

  At the time, after the problem has been resolved, I burned a DVD to show the final version to the person I did the video. Everything has been approved, so now I wanted to burn 20 DVD of for all the members of my family. Unfortunately, I can't manage even burn a!

  Everything works very well at first; "the media encoding", "compile media" and then he said: "burning to disc. The progress bar starts immediately to 5% (equivalent to 1/20 I guess), the DVD is ejected and I have the chance to see: 'unknown error 2130932483'

  About six months ago, when I burned the preview version, I also got this error, but a second attempt succeeded. However, I tried six different disks now, nothing helps.

  Other themes and searching the Internet, the problem is likely to be hidden inside the burner hard - or software. Let me tell what I've done so far:

  • try six different record, the same mark and two sets. However, the disc has managed one (6 months ago) was also one of the packs. (Philips DVD-R 1-16 x)

  A final summary for users in the future who encounter the same problem:

  1) burn on folder (4.7 or 8.5 GB whichever is applicable)

  1 (a) remove the OpenDVD folder
  1 (b) add empty AUDIO_TS folder for compatibility with some players of DVD from Panasonic

  (2) download and install ImgBurn

  (3) use it ' ecrire write files/folders to disc, select the two folders. Also be sure to select the right burning speed (compatible with your hardware and DVD), otherwise this may cause errors.

• Lower angle of view on smart keyboard

  The smart keyboard cover have only two fixed positions.

  Your only other option is to return the keyboard cover, if you have had this less than 14 days and buy the plain ole' smart cover and buy a Bluetooth keyboard to separate to use with your iPad Pro material.

  Like you said windows 8 has been preinstalled on your computer. We would like to tell you that the product key will not need to be included as it uses the product by the manufacturer key which is encrypted in BIOS.

  How to find the product key?
  

  1. open the original OEM software package; the product key will be printed on a sticker located somewhere on the case. Some software have the sticker on the back; others will have it inside the case.

  2. review the case of your computer for an OEM product label; This is common for computers produced by major retailers operating under Windows.

  3. open the manual supplied with the software; OEM key are printed on the inside cover, or inside the back cover first. Sometimes the key will be printed on a loose sheet back in the manual.

  4. communicate with the computer retailer that provided the software; retailers often keep records of keys to product belonging to their customers, in the case where the keys are lost.

• Cannot add text to additional images on the second page of brochure

  Greetings,

  I want to explain it, so there are many understand the problem that I have in InDesign CC.  I created a tabloid size for a company brochure.  The outside cover works perfectly, I can add multiple blocks of text and add text to all created frames.

  Now when I go inside the cover of this brochure, I can add text for the first block of text that was created without any problem.  When I create subsequent text frames, I can't have a fast blinking cursor inside one of the frames.  The slider appears across the page in the upper left corner of the booklet, instead of the image.  This happens for all the images I create after the first picture on this page.  I select the text layer and the image appropriate, then I go to the text tool and try to place the cursor inside the frame, and the text tool will not active there.  All text created will begin appearing in the upper left corner of the booklet where is the blinking cursor!  If I delete the first block of text on the inside cover, and then create all new text frames; I can't add text to one of the new executives either.  It almost as if text is limited to that very first image I created.

  I found a work around.  Honestly, I want that the Type tool to convert frames for text blocks.  This occurs on the outside cover, and not on the inside cover.  So what I've discovered, it was that the executives who were not automatically convert to text blocks, I could manually convert them by accessing the object > content > text.

  I have yet to understand why the Type tool will do it on a single page and not the other, but at least I can end this now!
