Inspiron 15 wireless disappears

Running Windows 8.1 (64) on Inspiron 15 laptop computer (5537, mid-2013).  I'll start by saying that, to resolve this issue, I read the sticky on this forum, I tried the troubleshooting windows, Dell diagnostics on the web, several tutorials and search forum archives-driven.

A month earlier, the wireless began to disappear.  It is not that I lose the signal, and it is not that the wireless is disabled (no not a firewall or disabled by energy saving options).  The card disappears: ethernet not connected icon appears in the status bar, and there is no map available wireless anywhere in Windows.  Sometimes he's not here to reboot, it goes away sometimes after a random time.  For the latter, the signal disappears, no networks are detected, then the wireless disappears, in that order.

Initially, the card could reappear on reboot.  When this "correction" stop work, reinstalling the driver (and restarting) would "fix" the issue.  Today, neither work.  My wireless card is not recognized (e.g. "disappeared", although physically he is still there of course).

Thoughts? Replace the map?  Where can I get one?

Thank you very much for your help!

The router IP DNS address sometimes causes problems of this kind. A solution to certain problems, to change router IP DNS address to an address of OpenDNS. The two try 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. Note current addresses if you want to return. If you don't know how to access the router configuration, search the Web for the procedure. The first step is to type the address of the router in the line of site of the browser. Number of addresses is 192, 168.x.y, where x = 2 and y = 1 or something similar.

    Hello!

In my view, this could be also a problem of router then make a day first firmware. You can find it on the site of the factory.
Turn off the features of security as a hidden SSID, MAC address filtering and so far. Just to test, it perhaps is the problem.

As said by Akuma, update your WLAN driver and update your BIOS. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:

Dell Inspiron 1501 wireless light is not on and I can't get a wireless connection. I was told that I needed to press the Fn key and F2 but it doesn't change anything

    Catherine,

To press Fn and F2, you must have installed Dell QuickSet.

Places to look to see if your connection is activated

Did you recently install/reinstall the operating system, have you installed the desktop system software / laptop (as appropriate) and drivers from the chipset first? If this is not the case, the rest of the drivers will not install. How to download and install drivers in the correct order

Start with the computer system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

Go to the drivers & downloads , enter your service tag, and then select your operating system. Under applications, you can find Dell QuickSet.

  • Dell Inspiron 6000: Wireless driver

    I'm looking for driver wifi for a Dell Inspiron 6000 running Windows 7, 32-bit. It's a Systems Conexant RD02-D110.

    Hello:

We will have to try some creative things to get these devices to work because your laptop was not designed to run Vista or W7.

No matter how it is, your laptop will not be able to run Windows Aero because the graphics card does not meet the hardware requirements.

First the graphics... Download and run this driver.  You will probably get an error not supported operating system.

    Conclusion of any windows error.

Go to Device Manager and click on the video controller needing drivers.   Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.  Then restart.

Audio: You will have to hope that the audio driver XP works page for the support of your laptop.  Try to install manually if auto installation does not work.   If navigating to the folder of the driver does not work, let me know and I will give you further instructions to select the specific file to install.  I think that this issue goes into C:\Dell from what I remember, when I got a computer Dell laptop.

Navigate to the folder decompressed from the network controller using the same procedure that you did for the graphics.

    Hello

I had a P500 Satellite with Windows 7 weeks and on my network wireless at home, a few days ago the wireless on the laptop disappeared completely! I have an Equium L40-10 X. It comes with wireless built in and I have used for over a year without any problems. I have now disappeared from my laptop! OK, let's see. Have you tried reinstalling the drivers wlan?

  • Inspiron 1501 wireless head-scratcher

    Hey,.

Well, here's the deal. I have an Inspiron 1501 Windows XP. I reformatted it successfully, install all drivers in the correct order and so have a computer with wireless internet to work. But here's the difficult thing, my uncle asked me to do the same process for its Inspiron 1501 because its wireless internet did not work for well over a year and has been reduced with an internet flash USB stick. I followed the same process I did my own, but after 3 or 4 complete system reformat, it remains the same. The computer does not even recognize that there is even an adapter wireless network in the system, as the Device Manager lists the "Broadcom 440 x 10/100 Integrated Controller" as the single network adapter. Can anyone help with this? I'm PUZZLED!

    Thank you very much

    Curtis

    Hi Curtis,.

The Device Manager will be on the list of the devices that are connected to the computer. It seems that Device Manager is not able to detect the wireless card.  This happens if the cable connected to the card is damaged or disconnected. Most likely, it must be disconnected. You can try reseating the cables.

    To reconnect the cable:

    1. turn OFF the laptop, remove all sources of energy such as the power adapter AC, battery etc...

    2. remove the keyboard for instructions download the manual at the following link:

    3. After you remove the keyboard, you should be able to locate the wireless Mini Card its in the upper right corner. Check the cable connections, reinstall even better for them.

    4. replace the keyboard and check in Device Manager, if its able to detect the card, install the driver and it should work.

    5. If it still does not work, it's a hardware problem, the wireless card needs to be replaced.

  • Inspiron 3543 wireless issues

    Hello

My Dell Inspiron 3543 guard disconnect from wireless networks. The laptop runs Windows 10 64-bit unique language with a Broadcom wireless adapter. I updated all the drivers on my laptop (including wireless driver) and I have updated the firmware on my Trendnet router. The problem also happens on my router to work. On two networks, my old laptop works very well and never disconnects.

I did the following, but nothing seems to help:

    1. update drivers for laptop

    2 update the router firmware

    3. change the power mode Options/Wireless adapter power of saving parameters 'Maximum Performance' on battery and plugged in

4 changed the minimum energy consumption and properties Broadcom 802.11n network adapter for people with reduced mobility.

    5 ran a virus scan

    6. to format the laptop

    7 update the BIOS

8 ensure that other devices have been able to connect to the network when my laptop does not connect

Nothing seems to work. The laptop still frequently disconnects and sometimes does not even pick up wireless networks. Usually, I have to disable and enable the adapter, or reboot the laptop just to get it to connect again, which soon and interrupts all work I'm busy with.

    Any suggestions?

You still have a problem? There was a guy who always had a problem with the wireless sound.

Anyway, don't know what else to do except for you to follow Dell troubleshooting guide. I don't have the link, but you can probably find it via Google.

Your other option is to buy another card or use a wifi adapter. Plenty of bargains.

  • Dell Inspiron 1525 Wireless and battery problems

Hey! So, I recently dug my old laptop, a Dell Inspiron 1525.

When I started it, it's horrible and basically endless sequence of beeps. Then finally he started on. Battery says "plugged in, not charging" and when unplugged the computer turns off. The Wireless does not work. I tried the switch on the side, and I tried to install the drivers from the drivers disk and a USB port with the updated drivers, I got from Dell. The wireless is not working. I have re-installed Windows Vista 32-bit. (The default OS) and still no luck.

Any thoughts? Anything I should try? Thank you. :)

    Hello

To get the deleted password BIOS you will need to contact Dell Technical Support.  We cannot do that here on the forums.  You will need to contact them (probably by telephone) and be able to verify ownership of this system in order to reset the password for them.  They will ask you things like the name and address of the shipping system was initially sent, the name of the owner (in archives), etc.

If you don't know that information you can go to the online form for change of ownership of the American (he has a link to the international on this page if necessary) and the system of re-registration in your name in our system.  If you do not have this information, you will need to contact the original owner to get it, or call our Technical Support team and they will be able to give you a better idea of what they need.

Reset / flashing the BIOS will allow this system to "see" the card if it is not currently (and until the card works).   Which should allow drivers, etc., will be installed, which theoretically should allow you to get out of the internet with the wireless connection.

  • Dell Inspiron 1525 wireless network adapter

Quite all right, I bought my Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I had a problem with it, and a "technician" incompetent deleted (!) Vista and installed XP. Now I finally had the time to reinstall Vista and everything is good, but I don't seem to be able to give life to the wireless network adapter. In fact, the applications and drivers that I downloaded seem even to see the wireless adapter, as if the equipment was not there. I'm really desperate because it's a vital function that I badly need, and my happiness to get finally reinstalled Vista has now turned into frustration, like the wireless was working with XP! Any help, please? I tried to download everything I could find at Dell, but nothing seems to work.

Do you see an unknown network controller in Device Manager (right click my computer, manage)?  If Yes, what is the DEV and FRI ID for it (right click, properties, details tab, hardware in the menu ID drop-down)?

  • No sound via bluetooth A2DP with 355, inspiron 1525 wireless

I have a Yamaha YBA - 10 bluetooth dock receiver.  I can easily listen to music from my LG phone but when I try the same thing with the Dell I have no sound.

The Inspiron 1525 and the Yamaha receiver properly disconnect and connect and illustrate this on their respective menus.  However, I never heard a single glance of the 1525 audio transfer to the Yamaha receiver.  The receiver is associated as a stereo headset.

Inspiron 1525, bought in July 08, Dell wireless 355 bluetooth card, purchased in September.

in the VISTA sounds dialog box there is a test button and I also don't get any sound when I try this.

    What else can I try?
