  • You receive an error message when printing?
  • What is the model of the printer?
  • Do you still have Internet Explorer (IE) 9 installed on the computer or you have returned back to IE 8?

  If you have IE 8 then I suggest you to install IE9 and check the error message when you try to use the Canon printer.

  I'm having trouble installing a model of Canon MP360 all-in-one Scanner/printer/copier.

  I managed to get the printer to print (using older drivers - Windows 2000/XP), but the scanner function does not work.

  If I go to a graphics program for example Photoshop Elements, the scanner device is not in the list choose enable analysis.  The same for Adobe Acrobat or something else where I should be able to scan documents, photos, etc.

  Vista does not recognize the printer/scanner pure and simple by just plug ' don't play.   He's trying to find the drivers but failed.

  If I have normal installation that is to install the software driver, then plug in the printer, the system tries to detect the hardware, but even once is unable to load the drivers and recognize the device correctly.

  Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

  Unfortunately not. I just posted a question on drive C of the computer Xp through the copy on drive D of the computer Vista and boot of it, that is to say use it with Xp. Maybe this is the way forward and I prefer Xp anyway.
