A repair installation isn't a big problem if you have the right drive. A new clean install is a much larger task.

Notwithstanding, there is no certainty that it will solve the problem but it is very unlikely to harmful effects on the system.

A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.

  • Vista Home Premium SP2 installation problems

SP2 says its installed but Windows Update shows it as an available update. When I view the system information, it still shows only installed SP1. I tried the standalone install and I got error 0 X 80070564 connection failed. SP2 shows as has been properly installed on Windows updates the history but it shows also the lack of installation after 2-3 hours to install, restart, then back to sp1. I stop all AV, Spyware, adware, Windows Defender by other items on the SP2 installation problems. I also ran system preparation and the System File Checker. I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit on computer laptop HP DV5 Dual Core. I have not found anything on the failure error connection displayed in the standalone sp2 update.

  • Network drivers no longer will charge after upgrade to Vista Home Premium sp2.

On a laptop Sony PCG - 7113 L VGN-NR220E, that is running Windows Vista Home Premium sp1, I tried to upgrade to sp2 who said he could not make the transfer and restarted, tried once more and then restored sp1.  All came back as the same with the exception of all the network drivers cannot be loaded.  Here is a list of drivers who have failed.

    • ISATAP. Westell.com
    • Map Microsoft ISATAP #3
    • Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
    • Marvell Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Fast Ethernet
    • Controller of
    • LAN0Express AS IEEE 802.11 g PCI-E fit

I went back to the site from Sony and all the latest drivers downloaded from the site and tried to install.  Only some allowed me to do even while administering it, but even those that didn't load on reboot even if it finds the drivers.

I tried to uninstall the drivers in Device Manager, but nothing helped.  None of the drivers loaded when you restart.  I tried disabling verification of driver and reinstall the network drivers that I downloaded from Sony site without success.  Then I tried to download a driver directly from Marvell Yukon site for its pilot, but which also failed.

Given that this approach did not work, I tried to get sp2 to load looking for why it was not installing.  I found a patch that was supposed to help the installation in certain situations that I loaded and sp2 installation I tried again a full download on another computer, which has not the same way.  I then tried to load sp1 over himself, but he refused, saying he was already loaded.

I tried to start off backups old session, but without success.  I wouldn't have to reinstall the operating system everywhere, especially since I don't even know if the owner of the computer has a copy of the operating system.

It seems to be that something related to all the fuction of network that worked before you attempt the installation of sp2 and was obvious immediately after.  Is there something I can do to restore the network features without a complete reinstallation of the operating system?

  • Cannot install Update 938371 on Vista Home Premium because of the error 800b0100.

Using Windows Update and stand-alone update, I can't install the Update 938371 (which I believe is a sine qua non for SP1) on my Vista Home Premium laptop.

  • need an iso file to install windows for windows vista Home premium 32-bit

I have a product key, but need Windows vista Home Premium (32 bit) ISO because I lost the part recovery partition

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '
