Install runtime LabVIEW CVI?

Hello

who runs the Update Service NOR suggest to download a patch of 226 MB for runtime LabVIEW 2012... (everything I installed knowingly was CVI2012)

--> How can I check if the computer has this engine installed, which is the name of the file to look for (and it takes the CVI)?

Thank you!

Wolfgang,

The LabVIEW run-time engine is not necessary for any CVI program to run, but it's an addiction of some of the tools ADE, such as the Finder of the example and the Manager of distributed system (used to configure network variables).

  • Runtime LabVIEW 2013

I want to start a .exe file, written with LV 2013 SP1 on a windows 7 64-bit PC.  I downloaded and installed the Labview 2013 SP1 runtime.  When I try to run the .exe, a message box appears indicating that I need to install runtime Labview 2013!

I tried to "Reinstall" to verify that it has been installed and I was unable to install the software becaue what is already installed.  I don't know where to go from here...  Help please!

Are you sure THAT you have installed the 64-bit version of LabVIEW and created the .exe from that?  I ask because the vast majority of people use LabVIEW 32-bit even on Windows 64-bit OS.

My theory is that you have 32-bit LabVIEW.  You have created an .exe with which would be also 32-bit.  Then download the 64-bit version of engine performance by mistake because you have the 64 bit version of Windows.  In this case your .exe 32 bits will complain of not installing a run-time engine.

  • Runtime Labview 8 coexisting with Labview 7

    Hello everyone!

I have 2 questions about the coexistence of the different versions of Labview:

First question: we have several machines with Labview 7 runtime engine, and where this Labiew version executables are running. Now, I was new software to develop using Labview 8, and I want to run them in the same devices. I guess for these new programs I install runtime Labview 8. Pourrait that affect running the old software? Because for us, the good performance of the oldest is crutial.

Second question: in the other machine, installed 7is Labview. Also in this machine, we would launch an executable of Labview 8. We want to keep there Laview 7. So, if I install runtime Labview 8, could that affect Labview 7?

    Thank you!!

Just install runtime LabVIEW 8. It does not come into conflict with the former engines of execution or the facilities of LabVIEW.

  • Install the LabVIEW DSP Module on Labview 2009 Professional

I have LabVIEW 2009 professional and I try to install the LabVIEW DSP Module on it. I have LabVIEW DSP Module 8.6, and I think that this is the final version. However, when I tried to install it, it says you should have LabVIEW 8.6 on your system.

    What should I do?

    Hello Brandon,.

I did run the LabVIEW 8.6 DSP module, you must have LabVIEW 8.6 (compatibility table), which can be installed and run in parallel with LabVIEW 2009. I apologize for the inconvenience, but 8.6 is the latest version of this module, so you'll need to buy LabVIEW 8.6 for use.

  • LabVIEW is always looking to install the runtime of CVI 8.1

I test LabVIEW on a VISTA laptop before converted us all of our PCs in 2000 to VISTA. The software looked OK, including NOR-DAQmx 8.72, I plugged my cDAQ-9172 and MAX seen correctly. As soon as I started a panel test "CVI Runtime Engine 8.1" window popped up and it configured CVI 8.1 runtime and asked me to reboot. I rebooted and exactly the same thing happened, also happens if I start to LabVIEW.

I tried NO-DAQmx 8.80 updated my installer of Microsoft and the problem persists. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

After uninstallation and reinstallation of LabVIEW and all the drivers several times I found that version 2.5 of the 488.2 was the problem. I did a complete withdrawal, clean and reinstall with LabVIEW 8.2.1, NOR-DAQmx 8.8 and NOR-488. 2 2.6 in a business version HP Vista laptop. So far all good plays.

  • Distribute the application without runtime labview

I read a lot of post by saying if the target machine has the same runtime engine installed, I need not distribute the application with the labview runtime engine. Somehow this rules does not work for me. I have a labview development system installed PC 2010 and has the 2011 SP1 runtime. I also download the same version of the engine running and installed on a target computer. When I distribute my labview application, if I choose to include the runtime to build properties, the application will be able to install and run properly in the machine target. If I don't get the runtime, so I would not be able to run the application.

Anyone help me on this? I don't want to compile the application with the runtime engine as it is big enough

  • NEITHER VISA version to install runtime engine?

Should the runtime OR VISA which version I install? If they are related to a specific version of LabVIEW?

I see that the most recent is NI-VISA 15.0.1. I'm using LabVIEW 2013.

You should be fine with this combination.

    Watch http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/CF4279A34F855AB186257B1F00003B82

But my question is that you really want to install a length of NI-VISA, or the driver NI-full VISA?  Generally, you install only a run on a computer that is not will to have a development system and only to have an executable that you have built to LabVIEW on a different development PC.

  • Front view without installing runtime environment remote

    Hi all

I have a question about the LabView software.

I am currently using LabView 2014 to develop applications that the user can access distance front panels (from the executable applications).

In view of the concerns of the customers IT department, now I'm looking for a way to provide access to applications without having to install the runtime environment.

I found some documents about this issue, but there is only a mention of the internet plugins explorer (which is not enough to display the Panel before correcly).

What is necessary for the execution of the façade remotely within a window of internet explore?

    Best wishes

    Andrei

Remote façade panels requires both the plugin for the browser you are using and also require the appropriate version of the LabVIEW run-time engine.

You can have a look at the WebSockets link in my signature - we had a lot of success to create signs at base of remote web for our software using WebSockets. There is a presentation and an example here: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-41778. With the help of my library allows you to create your own UI using html/css/javascript and communicate with a LabVIEW application.

You should also check out LabSocket - this is a replacement for the outside from facades of WebSockets so it should save you having to create the user interface yourself, because it uses the front panel of your VI.

  • I want to run an engine using the FPGA card 7851r 9474 C Rio 9151 pilot control is possible or can I do in LABVIEW, CVI

Hello I want to run a Stepper with 7851 FPGA R card with driver 9474 crio chasis, but I'm not able to understand how to proceed. Or may choose this option by using view lab CVI

    Hi VHS.

first of all, I would recommend that you want to use materials. Basically, to control a stepper motor, you have a controller of axes and a player.

In fact I don't know why you want to use 7851 R card and cSeries 9474 module. In any case, you can connect the FPGA Board with an NI 9151 expansion chassis for

    Plug the 9474.

In the following link, you will find basic concepts on control of engines with NO motion:

    Motion Control fundamentals

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/3367/en

In addition, you need a software application. NEITHER offers LabVIEW - graphical programming and LabWindows CVI language - it is a system of development in C-ANSCI

    for C programming.

  • Why my LabVIEW 2010 program asked for the runtime LabVIEW 8.5.1 whenever it is launched after installation?

It is a simple timer program that displays the elapsed time (see photos). I can't think of one thing that should be the cause... It started happening right after that I selected items of the scale with façade resizes and recompiled and re-installed the app. This was not the case before that when it is installed without the resize selection, but then I removed the selection and it still happens. Any ideas would be appreciated.
