Install Server 2003 custom

Hi first post so here it goes:

PE2900III with Perc6 / i, SAS 15 K 73 4 hard drives in a RAID5 configuration, map No. DRAC.

I used the OMSA 5.3 (5.2 have not seen hard drives) to load my 2003 OS, but it will not use my winnt.sif answer file.  I need some windows components are required and others are not.  I tried to provide the answer in the form of custom script file, but no go.

I tried to load the operating system directly on the drive, but when I provide the RAID drivers at the F6 prompt will install first, they won't copy starting from the floppy to the hard drive.

If I can get the generation utility to use the answer file, I'll be good.  All thoughts.

Thanks for any help.

  • Satellite Pro P200: Cannot install Server 2003 - parity memory error

I have a Satellite Pro P200 and to the work required to install Windows 2003 server on it, but all I get is an error message:

    -Hardware malfunction

Call your provider of support material

NMI: Parity check / memory parity error

    -The system is shut down

I checked the memory and everything seems OK. Vista runs very well on it, and all memory is recognized. I tried different flavors of Server 2003, although all I need is standard edition. Anyone who has met this problem, or someone has any suspicion as to how I can get it operational.

So, how tested the RAM? With Memtest? Or Prime95?

I read in many forums that people work servers (no laptop...) SERVERS) that correctly work 1 year with ECC memory, then windows 2003 server gives the same error message you have.

I mean if Vista works flawlessly and you checked as you say the RAM while there could be a mismatch which must not be for lack of toshibas.
Maybe you should try a linux ubuntu server edition, which works great on almost * ALL * systems, even on systems with faulty CPU/memory (Ok, ok, not 100%, but it works, I got this case :))

So, maybe you can try to exchange the RAM, but if you're still the same error then ask microsoft or try another P200, if they are available.

Sorry dude, but I Don t have a lot of ideas in your situation :/

  • Impossible to install Server 2003 on SC1420 with drives fresh

We had a hard drive fail on our server and decided to replace the two with larger disks.

I created a raid 1 and makes bootable in the Adaptec utility.  When I try to install the server, it cannot find the drive so I thought that I needed to load the first raid drivers.

When I try to load the Adaptec SATA2s driver I get the following message:

\aarich.sys has caused an error unexpected (4107) line 2335 d:\srvrtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

I can put the right hard disk back in and start the server but I can not get the OS to load from scratch.

    What I am doing wrong?

Looks like corrupt media.  You load the driver from the disk?  If so, that would explain it.  Try: full-format diskette file, download driver again, run to extract the drivers THEN copy files to floppy drive.  You can also use nLiteOS.com to integrate the drivers.

What level of Service Pack is your support of 2003?
    Which driver/file do you use?
Are your readers connected to the SATA ports on board or on a map?

  • Windows Server 2003 on the HARD IDE in Mode ATAPI drive?

    Hello!
My problem is that I want to know if a HDD IDE will run in Mode ATAPI.

    More details >

There is a motherboard of INTEL S5000 VSA server in the office. He already had Win 2003 and everything was fine until the HARD drive crashed and the people replaced by an a SCSI maintenance (I don't know if he had a SATA, SCSI or an IDE HDD previously). After installing new HARD drive, they were not able to install Win server 2003 and went for 2008. Windows Server 2008 creates problems for us and the maintenance people are also confused and unresponsive to the situation.

We have Windows Server 2003 R2. The motherboard has only one IDE port but scored the "working mode" as ATAPI. I was wondering if I could just attach an IDE HDD and install Win Server 2003 R2 (since win 2003 supports SATA out-of-the-box)

(Displayed in the section of WIN XP as Win 2003 sharing the same base with XP, XP users can comment too)

    http://www.Intel.com/CD/channel/reseller/APAC/Eng/products/server/boards/DP/S5000VSA/feature/index.htm#specifications

If a geek myself, I'm not very educated when it comes to servers. a Google search also did not help. I would be grateful if someone can help out me.

    Thank you
    Chirag.

Yes it will install and work fine on an IDE hard drive, ATAPI devices are all IDE drives.  The downside is that the reader will be much slower than the SCSI on a busy server, which can be a big disadvantage.

For all its value that they probably could not install Server 2003 on the SCSI disk because they weren't using the method of F6 to provide drivers SCSI on a diskette or that they could not understand or how their wake worth installation CD.  There is no need of such a monumental lapse, notwithstanding the limitation INT-13 NT4 Server installed on SCSI and Server 2003 installs on SCSI providing that you give appropriate when installing drivers.

  • Virtual PC 2007 running Server 2003

I just installed Server 2003 in Virtual PC 2007 but I can't login.  He said press CTRL-ALT-DEL to connect but when I do it opens the Task Manager in the host (XP Pro) system.  The cursor is certainly in the virtual machine (I know that press right SHIFT to return to home and click inside the VM to go back) when I try to log on to it.

    Thanks in advance.

After clicking on the inside of the virtual, press 'Alt' + 'Delete' right only.  This simulates the ctrl, alt, del to the virtual machine.

  • VMWare - Server 2003 on an HFS Partition

    Hello world

I was wondering if it was possible to install Server 2003 on an HFS Partition and if it would support VMWare ESX4.

We have a VM of 2003 server as a file server to our Mac users, but it seems that Finder has a lot of trouble with NTFS volumes.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

The problems you have are now nothing compared to problems that you would go in a 2003 VM who tries to use HFS.

In other words - you forget.
MAC OS can handle much better NTFS that 2003 can handle HFS

  • How to install windows 2003 Server R720?

I read that with r720, u can not install windows server 2003 directly, you must install as a VM, but I read something to do good readers for the raid controller or something like that my r720 has PERC H710: the INTEGRATED RAID CONTROLLER. If someone could provide markets like me can install 2003 and if there are custom commands or software, I need to do

    Thank you

Why not install from 2003 as a virtual machine?

There is no driver for the H710, 2003.  You can "try" this:

    2008 x 86 for H710m on R720:
    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/product/PowerEdge-R720?driverId=H9W18&osCode=WLHS1&FILEID=3366404030&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=SF

You need to download the 'hard drive' version of the pilot and run to extract its content before using it.

Also keep in mind that PERC does NOT support non-RAID, so you MUST configure/initialize RAID in the CTRL-R FRONT utility any can readers seen by the operating system, even if you find drivers that work.

  • BSOD when installing MS Server 2003 on Satellite Pro U400-153?

    Hello

No idea why I get a blue screen crash when I try to install MS Server 2003 on a Pro u400 153? Load the drivers etc and then is about to launch the installation but fails.

I try to install the 32-bit edition.

    Thank you

    Paul

Maybe your MS Server 2003 disc doesn t contains the necessary SATA drivers.
The SATA drivers are important for detecting HARD drive!

As I m not wrong not the U400 supports an Intel chip and therefore, you need the SATA of Intel matrix Storage Manager driver files!

You will find many threads in this forum regarding this topic so much search for, read and learn

So I installed Windows 2003, enterprise edition.

    I want vista also.

And I need driver sound and video drivers for windows 2003...

    Please help me

    It is very simply;
Your operating system server Win 2003 a damage and crushed to the Vista Boot Manager menu and therefore you don't get the Vista Boot Manager.

You just lucky to get this Vista Manager startup is again to boot from the ORIGINAL Vista MS DVD. He undertakes to repair the boot loader, and you will be able to start in Vista.

Then, you need to install the EasyBCD tool. It of free and this tool helps you to understand the additional operating systems in the Vista Boot Manager.

PS: Win 2003 Server drivers are not available. You could check if some drivers Win XP would work on this laptop.

  • Tecra A10 - 12O: installing the driver network card in Windows Server 2003 R2 Std

    Hello

I received 6 laptop Tecra A10 - 12O, and we need to install Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition with SP2 in all these six machines. Windows Server 2003 has been installed perfectly, but now we have only the network LAN card to work but we are unable to install its driver. When I installed Windows XP from the supplied DVD for Toshiba, it says Intel 82567V Gigabit network adapter. I tried to download the drivers for this adatpor of drivers Toshiba, Intel Web site, but it will not install in Windows Server 2003. I also tried manually force to choose and install a driver from the list, I choose that it will install but shows yellow question mark in Device Manager means that it does not work with this driver.

I also tried the same Intel 82567V drivers from some sites non-Toshiba, of these models using the same network card, but is not truck drivers at all.

I understand these laptop computers does not support Windows Server 2003, but these were ordered to be used as servers with Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition and I am required to make the Installer only with activated and installed network adapter.

I try last week and exhausted all means to get the installed network adapter driver, but all have failed. Can someone please help with this? All support will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Charwal

    Hey Buddy

If I m not wrong Windows Server 2003 uses the same drivers as Win XP and I guess that it s driver problem not a LAN, but perhaps also the problem of Windows Server 2003 installed.

You are right; the LAN chip seems to be Intel 82567V and the LAN driver downloaded from Intel page should work 100%.

In your case, I would recommend installing the chipset driver.
Remove the LAN card from Device Manager, then restart the laptop.
Then go back to Device Manager and update driver in pointing devices Manager to the place where the driver downloaded LAN was stored on the HARD drive.

  • can I install Windows 2003 server in my computer hp laptop pav14-v021tu

    Hai

My system came with windows 8, when I bought.

But now I thing I finstalling windows server 2003 in this laptop, I heard from my local technician some computers laptops hp does not support Server 2003 (he said need some drivers from hard disk sata hard or something like that)

As I have not super-hotel with this stuff,

some we can't so please say argues this model the windows sever 2003 if so this laptop has no other than the Server 2003 addinational drivers to work

    Thank you

    Hello:

The technician is correct on the sata drivers are needed.

The problem is that your laptop is an Intel 4th generation of processor and chipset of the 8 series.

Intel develops not all drivers sata for this chipset, so windows XP and 2003 server will not install on the PC with this chipset.  Nor are there at - he graphics drivers for Windows 2003 server, and probably many other features would not have driver support for hardware that your PC has.
