Install the update later

Hello!
I am a beginner and I have Firefox os 1.1 on a peak.
I downloaded an update but chose to 'Later' instead of install it immediately.
Now that I want to install the update, where can I find?

The update should always be in the notifications bar you did not update, is not because it is gone. Alternatively, you can install a new version on your device manually by going to http://downloads.geeksphone.com/

Original title: do not install the updates

My computer will not install updates, it is fair to the blue screen saying it is updated does not turn off and it goes on and like that until I have to turn off the computer and restart.  How can I fix?

    Hi Nemo,

I suggest you follow the steps in the site mentioned below:

Check if you are able to start the computer in safe mode.

    See the following site:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode.

If you are unable to boot into safe mode, and then perform a system restore by using system recovery. Select repair your computer in the article mentioned above to access system recovery options. You can consult the site mentioned below: what are the system recovery options in Windows Vista? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-sg/windows-vista/What-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista.

Note: When you restore the system to a previous state, programs and updates installed later will be deleted.

If you are able to start, then run the update utility and then install the update one at a time. You can get the tool troubleshooting on the link below: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=231149.   You can also consult the site mentioned below: error: failure of configuration of Windows updates. • After trying to install the updates. my computer is now stuck in constant reboot mode while showing "Configuring updates 3 of 3 0%, do not turn off your computer.

    Visa update problem

After trying to install the updates.  my computer is now stuck in constant reboot mode while showing "Configuring updates 3 of 3 0%, do not turn off your computer.  I tried to follow the instructions provided here because it seemed to be the same problem.  But when I restart and hold down the F8 key so I can boot into safe mode, I tried selecting safe mode and I get the same results, and I tried again by selecting the option 'Disable automatic reboot' which seems to be an option on the same page with the option of safe mode.  Whatever it is, the same message comes back and I can never get to where I can see my desktop to click 'start '.  I can't get out of this cycle.  I installed the update because it said I needed to install it.

    *************************************************************************************************************************************************

Turn off your computer by holding the power button for about 20 seconds.

Start your computer in safe mode: press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure:

    • Click Start
    • Click on Control Panel
    • Click on system and Maintenance link.
    • Click on the system link
    • In the left pane, click Advanced system settings
    • Locate the startup and recovery area, click the settings button.
    • In the startup and recovery window, uncheck the box next to automatically restart.
    • Click OK in the startup and recovery window
    • Click OK in the System Properties window
    • Close the system window

After that... While STAYING in safe mode I do a system restore and maybe try a manual install of the update later.

For the sake of space I refer you to the article about how to proceed.

  • Users cannot install the update of my application and impossible to reinstall the application.

I have an App World app, the first time, it's a free app (ver: 0.9), but later I changed it for a paid app. recently, I published a new version of this app (ver: 1.0) and free package upgrade.

But users who have installed my app when it's free cannot install the update!

I Can't download the update. I keep getting the following error "There was a problem installing...please try again." I've retried many times and reset my device but nothing works.

software shows an update to Version 1.0 from .9 however,
the update errors out and fails to download.

They tried to delete the app first, but they can not reinstall it, even if they want to buy, but App World allow them to do!

I tried uninstalling it and now I can't reinstall it. ???

I can not even reinstall from appworld.
    Let alone purchase.

but i try to paid for it and when i go to do it, it dont allow me

It is really strange, what do I do?

I feel your pain, but you can't do much. This is a known issue with AppWorld during the passage of the free paid, thats why this option is no longer available for providers.

The only way to mitigate the damage, push a paid upgrade, say version 1.1. Make sure that the upgrade price paid matches the original price of app, otherwise it would be confusing to users.

    Advantages of such an approach:

-Users who want to pay will be able to download the upgrade, you get the money

    Disadvantages:

-You will get a lot of negative comments from users who have as free version

-Those who have already purchased as paid app will have to pay to upgrade too

  • Trouble installing the update of the BIOS on hp chromebook 13

When I try to download the update of the BIOS for my chromebook 13 hp, it will start to install because the HP Wizard Installer does not work correctly. It just keeps telling me to try the Setup Wizard again at a later date whenever I click on run/save the update. How can I make this?

    Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description of the problem, you can not install the BIOS update. The question could be if some restricted to settle security software or third party services/application is limiting.

I you suggest to perform the clean boot and then try to disable the security software temporary, if any installed on your computer and then try to install the update to the BIOS.

    Step 1

    Perform clean boot.

Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: refer to "How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair.

    Step 2

    Temporarily disable security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attack.

    Step 3

After completing both steps now try to install the update from the Web site of the manufacturer (HP) and see if it helps you to install the update.

    Warning of the BIOS:

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards

    Hi Jeff,

I had a whole series of mistakes differrent, but thought of the discuussions in http://forums.adobe.com/message/5273970#5273970 would be the resolution, but as you can see by my comment on this subject, that this still has not first solve my problem. I finally solved it by using this solutions all in contact with technical assistance, although I do not understand what we did different, he still was't straight forward and had several attempts to succeed. Still seems to be a problem Adobe must answer, especially with the new CC version and update to come Monday, I bet that there will be a lot of discussion of this problem the week next in the forums.

It seems that your Mac has a chip "PPC" (not the one made by Intel). Unfortunately, Firefox 3.6 is the latest version to support. We will always support 3.6 for a short period (3.6.25 just came out yesterday), but you might want to try TenFourFox which is another browser based on Firefox (but made by others) for Mac PPC.

Firefox 3.6.3 is 20 versions minor behind Firefox 3.6.23.

    The version numbering is - 3.6, 3.6.1 3.6.2 3.6.3... 3.6.9 and 3.6.10

After installing the 3G modem & updates on day of Wireless manager from 29 September, my laptop began to have trouble waking sleep mode. Most of the time I had to hard stop.
