Install W7 clinging to the "Installer starts services.

Recently bought a complete W7 Pro, I was very happy with the CR, but now I would have rather spent the $305,25 at the bar as I was without a computer to office for more than a week.

I am currently hanging in the "installation program starts services' and he sat here for a good 12 hours

I had several problems with the installation, and I am now on my 5th attempt.
The problems that I had previously:
S ' hang «Registry update...» "> 36 hours
-Hang up to «enlarge...» 0% "> 24 hours
-After the 1st installation reboot BSOD (tried 32 bit version)
-And then suddenly upward to... Well Setup nothing started and there was a beautiful picture on my screen for a good 12 hours before I pulled the plug, it has not yet made it to the language selection

and now he is hung up 'the installation program starts services' (http://neosmart.net/gallery/d/7490-1/Setup+is+starting+Services.png) img

Things you need to know
Dell Dimension 9200 - clean install on a clean HARD disk
-Processor Intel Core 2 Duo (6400 I think 2.13 ghz)
-4 GB OF RAM

PCI - E nVidia-(7600 que je pense) video
-Some OEM Dell Intel Board (E201882 I think)
-WD 300 GB SATA HDD (x 2)

Material is not relevant, it's a work horse, not high-end and the RC installed and run flawlessly on the first try. But even with that, I have two of these valleys (only try to get one of them) and they both have the same problem in the same places. In addition, here are a few things I tried:
-Readers DVD
-Different hard drives and HDD configurations
-Different RAM
-Various Bios settings
-Installed (on my HARD drive) on my daughters HP (AMD 64 bit) flawlessly. ID of thought be slick and throw it in the dell, start in safe mode and install drivers... restarts to windows loading screen
-Cold boot hang up and tried to use the repair

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Don't know if you tried, but start to the top of your windows dvd and when it is completely initialized to support SHIFT + F10 this will open a command prompt.  Now type diskpart, and then enter.  Then, type the following text:
drive list - enter
Select disk 0 Enter or any disk you install to.
cleaning - enter
Create primary partition - type
Select partition 1 - enter
Active - enter
format fs = NTFS quick - enter
assign - enter
Get out and complete your installation as you normally.

I had a windows 7 machine tha this happened and I did the above and he knew very well.  It seems this part of the boot manager is still around after the os Yuri is extended down on the disk and is in conflict with the installation.

I hope this helps.

I have windows XP after the installation of service pack 3 I can only start in safe mode?

    Hello

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         What happens when you try to start in normal mode?

    Method 1

Windows XP can in every start Safe Mode by default. Even if you select the option Start Windows normally, it always starts in Mode without failure. IOW, you can't get out of safe mode.

This happens if the switch/SafeBoot is added to the Boot.ini file. / SafeBoot parameter forces a boot in safe mode by using the specified parameters. The available parameters are:

    (a) minimal

    (b) network

    (c) safeboot: minimal (alternateshell)

For more information about the boot.ini switches, see visualization and correction of the settings of the boot on x 86 systems

    RESOLUTION

    (a) click Start, run and type MSCONFIG

    (b) click the Boot.ini tab

    (c) If you have a dual-boot system, select the entry that is appropriate under the [operating systems]

    (d) in section downstairs, Startup Options uncheck / hisFEBOOT

    (e) click OK

    (f) restart Windows

The entry/SafeBoot are removed from the Boot.ini file.

    Method 2:

If the above method is not the cause, it seems that Service Pack 3 is not installed correctly.

Resolution 3: Close or disable any applications that may be running, restart the computer and then install the service pack

Click here to show or hide detailed information

Important These steps may increase your security risk. These steps may also make the computer or the network more vulnerable to attack from malicious users or malicious software such as viruses. We recommend the process that this article describes to enable programs to operate as they are designed for, or to implement specific program features. Before you make these changes, we recommend that you evaluate the risks that are associated with implementing this process in your particular environment. If you decide to implement this process, take additional measures to protect the system. We recommend that you use this process only if you really need this process.

During installation, one of the most frequent causes of failure occurs when a third-party application holds open a file or locks a file that the service pack installer should use. For example, an application third-party antivirus or antispyware may cause this problem. To minimize this risk, follow these steps:

    1. close all applications and restart your computer.

    2. Once your computer has restarted, disable any antivirus or any antispyware application that can load during the startup process. You can normally disable the notification area application. This area is located in the bottom right corner of the computer screen. To disable an application in the notification area, follow these steps:

    a. right-click on the icon of the third-party program.

    b. click Close, disable, outputor an equivalent term in the list of options. If these options are not available, you may open the application and then close or disable in the application.

    3. as soon as you close the antivirus or the antispyware software, try to click here to install the download package full of the service pack that you previously downloaded from the following Microsoft Download Center Web site.

    4. After completing the installation of the service pack, enable the antivirus or the antispyware software that you disabled in the previous steps.

If your problem is still not resolved, you can try the steps of troubleshooting on your own, or you can contact Microsoft technical support.

Resolution 4: Uninstall security applications, restart the computer and then install the service pack

Important These steps may increase your security risk. These steps may also make the computer or the network more vulnerable to attack from malicious users or malicious software such as viruses. A third-party security application (for example, an antivirus application, a firewall, or antispyware software) can still be causing the installation fails, even though you tried to disable the application. The Windows Vista SP1 installation requires several restarts of the computer, and the security application may be reload after the first reboot. Applications that provide registry repair features may also cause the installation to fail.

You can uninstall your third-party security application before you install the service pack. However, you should do this only if you are positive that you can reinstall the application as soon as the service pack installation is complete. To reinstall the third-party security application, you'll need either the original installation media for the application, or you need the original download. You may also need a product key to reinstall the third-party security application.

If you are sure that you can reinstall the third-party application, uninstall the application from the programs and features item in Control Panel. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. close all applications and restart your computer.

    2. Once your computer has restarted, click Start

    Collapse this includes this image

    .

    3. in the find what box, type programs.

    4. click on programs and features.

    5. click on the name of the security program that you want to uninstall.

    6. click on Uninstall.

    7. After you have uninstalled the program, restart the computer.

    8. try to click here to install the download package full of the service pack that you previously downloaded from the following Microsoft Download Center Web site.
Note You have uninstalled your security software, and your computer is more vulnerable to attack by malicious users or by malicious software such as viruses. We recommend that you do not surf the Web, use e-mail, or use instant messaging, up to what you have done to solve the problem, and you have reinstalled your security software.

    9. After completing the installation of Windows Vista SP1, reinstall the security program that you uninstalled in the previous steps.

    Hi arkitekromero,

Given that repair options did not work for you.  I suggest you try the method below.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

Rename the Pending.xml file, and then change the registry notes read the following important notes before you use this troubleshooting method.

    • Use this method to resolve the symptom of restart that is described in the "Symptoms" section, so that you can back up data before you reinstall Windows. You must use this method of troubleshooting only if you plan to back up data and reinstall Windows.
    • Use this method only after trying other methods.

Note If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer for instructions on how to continue.

    • Use this method only if the computer has no restore points or if you cannot start your computer to a point where the system restore feature is available.
    • After using this method, the following conditions may exist until reinstalling Windows:
      • An update is being installed may not be installed correctly.
      • Windows Update may not work correctly.
      • If an update is installed, you may be unable to stop the installation process.
      • You may be unable to enable and disable certain Windows functions in option.

How do you know if you are running a 32 bit / X 86 or 64-bit computer

    1. Click Start.

    2. Do right click my computer and then click Properties.

      • If you don't see "x 64 Edition" in the list, then you are running 32-bit Windows XP.

      • If "x 64 Edition" is listed under system, you are running the 64 bit version of Windows XP.

  • Automatic updates has attempted to install KB963707 repeatedly, preventing the installation of SP1.

Laptop with Vista Home Premium 32-bit tries to install KB963707 again and again and more, preventing the installation of SP1. Although SP1 is completely and correctly installed, it states that it has not installed and back.

Have you tried disabling the automatic updates, and then install service packs?
A practice that I had in XP when the reinstallation of the operating system was to disable the automatic updates, wait until I had installed all service packs, then turn it back on.

    To disable automatic updates
    GoTo Start-> Control Panel
    Click on "Classic view".
Click on "windows update", which is usually towards the end
    Click on "change settings".

under "major updates" choose one of the last two options. Is the "check for updates but let me choose whether to install" or "never check the updates. It does not matter because we will change things back that upgrading to SP2.
