I downloaded Sierra.  Installation failed saying corrupted download.  App Store still says downloaded, but there is no button install and I can't download it again.

    What should I do?

    Hello volvoxc70,

I understand that you have downloaded macOS Sierra, but are not able to install it, because you are told that the download was corrupted. In a situation like this, the next step would be to remove existing installation application download and re - download.

Applications downloaded from the App Store: click on the Launchpad icon in the Dock, hold the application icon until all the icons begin to jiggle, then click on the button to remove the application. If you later want the app, you can reinstall it on the App Store.

If you do not have Launchpad on your Dock, you can access your Applications folder in the Finder menu reach > Applications. Once in the application, find install it macOS Sierra app, click once to select it, open the file menu > move to the trash. You will need to enter your administrator password to perform this operation.

  • Error message: cannot access Windows Installer during the installation of Java SDK

Original title: How To Install Windows Installer?

OK, so I came to my laptop to do a writing in Word. Later, I tried to install the Java Development Kit, but he said something, of not being able to access Windows Installer. I ignored it and went to download a registry cleaner program to try to solve, but he also said "cannot access Windows Installer". Undertook research to install across the entire hard drive and the Windows registry and I found nothing. Not even the key MSIServer was there. I went to the Services and it was not there either. I opened my journal program, and he said that Microsoft Windows Installer has been deleted from the hard drive. The newspaper program that I use is open source and theres no script that writes, deletes, or replaces all files! So all I can do now is to install again, so I went to the Microsoft Download page: Windows Installer but when I tried to download mine)

Windows6.0 - KB942288-v2 - x 86 .msu) he said first of all, "the search for updates...". "and then"update does not apply to your system. Any help would be appreciated!

OK people! I found the answer myself. The only thing I did was to do a system restore to the nearest date when it started to happen and after a few minutes I got the key MSIServer and everything started working again! YAY!

  • "Installation Failed", no CC apps install and no explanation why

    Hello

I'm a user of Adobe but fairly new user CC and last night I tried to install rather old and the ID of the trial on my MacBook Pro, and don't get up to 42% when I got an installation error that has no more info to it. Assuming that it was a problem with the application of Office CC, I tried to download ID by direct link and tried to install it and the result was the same: the installation bar will not yet up a notch and I had this "Installation Failed" window, without code error or any other information about what was going on. It is then that I realized that body and AE, I have already installed worked is more: when I tried to open them I got a window saying "Adobe Application Manager is needed to solve this problem." I followed the instructions and I was told that if I used CC I had to reinstall CC. Which I tried to do but not had any luck: whenever I open CC, I had an empty window. So, I followed the instructions on how to fix this and had no luck either. To make a very long story, 4 short hours, in the end, I used the CC to 'Cleaning up' AAM cleanup tool so I'll be back any body and AE. Then I was able to reinstall CC and he is currently working. But, again, I am trying to install ID (this time only manually, I'm sure he tried to install it by CC which has damaged the MAO) and I get the same generic Installation error 'Fail', for which I can't find ANY specific information anywhere, nor any means to solve it.

I would be very grateful for any information you could give me to fixing this problem. My MBPro is barely a week and that she already has a LOT of problems with Adobe and if now I can install are more produced Adobe on it, then it is absolutely useless to me because all of the work that I do I do it on Adobe software.

  • XPS 420 - HARD drive failed, performing a clean install of Vista on the new HARD drive.

    Hey everybody,

My on my XPS 420 HARD drive failed and I'm trying to reinstall Vista using the disc that came with my machine back when I bought it.

I bought a new WD10EZEXAZ (1 TB Serial ATA HDD), he rose in the same dwelling as my old HDD (ST3750630AS * Barracuda 7200.11*). I start the PC and goto Setup, it recognizes the HARD drive in the blue menu.

Then I boot with the CD of Vista that came with my system. I proceed as indicated through the following url:

    Clean install of Vista

After its copied files, expanded the files, installed features, updates installed... it goes to "Complete Installation" and throws an error message: "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on a hardware on this computer."

I tried a few things I've seen posted on the internet, including trying to run msoobe.exe via command line. When I did, it allows me to Setup user... but finally I get sent to this message of error or another telling me I have to reinstall Windows.

I read else where some hard disks may not compatible with the Dell disk provides with my OEM machine. If this is the case, can someone advise? I really didn't want to spend $100 one another on a Windows 7 disc, but I feel like this may be my only option... but even in this case, I'm not so sure this will work or the other.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Tony

    UPDATE *.
Did some more research, I discovered my new drive HARD is an advanced HDD format... not sure if it has nothing to do with my problems (by www.wdc.com/advformat Vista should not need to perform the work before the OS being installed), but thought I would mention it.

    Thanks again for any help.

Seems that I found the solution to my problem.

Problem has been fixed by going into the BIOS and change the Mode of Port SATA to IDE/native/AHCI native. After that, the installation worked without any problems. Seems that Windows Setup did not like the port mode is set to RAID.

Just thought I would post back everybody incase has had the same problem.

    OT:

    Installation of Windows 10

I think that this error has something to do with the Windows updates blocking antivirus.

    Try this:

    (1) disable the anti-virus and all others no essential programs

    (2) type in services.msc RUN which will take you to the 'services' and search for Windows Installer mine has been set to manual so leave it put there and just start it

    (3) now, run windows update and wait for your window installed correctly

    (4) restart the computer

Let me know how it goes!

While Microsoft embeds Flash Player in IE/Edge on Windows 10, is the version of ActiveX of Flash Player and Acrobat Reader uses the version of the flashplayer NPAPI plugin.  Please see Adobe Reader and Acrobat Flash Player download for Windows download and install the NPAPI plugin that uses Acrobat Reader.

  • Failed to initialize and install Windows 8.1 - Yoga 2 13

    Hello world

I got a Yoga 2 13 who has recently had problems starting where it can no longer start Windows. I used an Ubuntu Live USB to see if I could access the HARD drive but no luck there, said that there is something wrong with it. Decided to install Windows 8.1 fees but I'm having issues with the installation. I boot USB bootable with 8.1 and it stuck at a black screen with only the cursor work. I started out in the same on a Yoga Pro 2 USB port and I get directly to the Windows installation screen. What could be the problem here? I see again the HDD in the BIOS is not quite dead.

    Thank you

    Marco

Well, it seems that the hard drive has some bad sectors, so I just replaced it with an SSD. Now my next question is, the CD key that is embedded in the BIOS is for Windows 8, but which version? Family, professional? What image of Windows is good?

  • Windows installation encountered an unexpected error installing windows, restart the installation

That's what happened with me when I try to install window7 on my PC that already had windows8.

I also created a new partition for this problem but cannot install window7 perfectly.

And there is a big problem with my PC, it is unable to boot from USB and DVD

I don't really know what to do with my PC everyone please help me solve this problem

It will be really grateful to you.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
    2. how you install Windows 7? Is using Windows 7 program stored on your computer?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This behavior can occur if the hard drive has a bad sector or the master boot record is damaged.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Use "Bootrec" tool to rebuild the master boot record (MBR) , then check the issue.
    Refer to this article:
Use Bootrec.exe in the WINRE to resolve startup problems
    http://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/927392

Note: You can use ' / FixMbrcommand"" ".»

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Run disk check and see if it helps.
    Refer to this article:
Check your hard drive to find errors in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/2641432

Check disk can identify and automatically fix file system errors and make sure that you can continue to load and write data from the hard drive.

Note: When running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you

  • Need to find a way to install Win Vista Home (I have my own series) for Win 7 Upgrade post.

My laptop came with Windows Vista, and I recently bought an upgrade to Windows 7 for her. The upgrade works only as an upgrade, not as a stand-alone installation.
My computer recently crashed, and with top Vista recovery CD is defective, so I have no way to use the upgrade CD.
Is it possible to arrange a download of the Vista test for my to validate with my own serial number or to order a copy?

    Hello

Here are different ways to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

Check if you have a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '
