Installation network HARD disk does not work

I recently bought a Ximeta Ethernet disk, which works OK on all the PC's on my network, except on my Satellite Pro P200 (Windows XP), which hangs (blue screen program from Ximeta NDIS.sys involving drivers and Ximeta disk power on the network.)

I contacted the support of Ximeta, and they told me to update my driver of NIC (Intel 1000/PL).
I've done IT (pilot real 2007 is April), but it will not solve the problem.

It is not the first time that I have some problems in the installation on this laptop of some software that are installed without problems on other PC...

Does anyone have an idea?

I know this sounds stupid and weird for you now, but a full system restore sometimes makes things better. Maybe you should try, and then update the relevant drivers and then try again. But do not install updates windows or 3rd party software before connecting your player to your machine, because it really sounds like some - heavy-metal-software-question - ;)

Believe me, I restore images of my machines of my offices because after a while, I was so frustrated that the system slower and slower after a few months of work and many things didn t operate more like mouse, network, some year-round software...

    The write cache and virtual memory are different. Virtual memory is an extension of the physical memory residing on the HARD disk where Windows is installed. Normally, the virtual memory is about twice the size of the current physical memory. Write cache is an exclusive setting for external hard drives only and has no effect in internal hard drives.

    In your case, please note that full 24GO of RAM will not be allocated to the program. At least 1 GB will be reserved for windows, so the rest of the programs are moved to virtual memory, which means that the HARD drive. It is not recommended to disable virtual memory because it can cause stability problems. In addition, the files are not copied directly in memory, even if they are big. Instead, the parts of the file are available and this area, including the incremental values and material, are stored in the memory. So if all of a sudden, you access an area of the file which is very far away from the previous location, it takes time as the new area, as well as differentials and material value of a few bytes is also copied to the memory. The box of files previously displayed is erased from the memory.

    For performance improvements, you can go for the SSD, RAM with higher clock speed (must be compatible with the motherboard) as processor as well as the upgrade.     It is a slightly different external HARD drive problem.  I had my faithful media ATMT bin since my first laptop with XP (2003) and I bought it in 2005.  It's a little wobbly as the fan vibrates a lot, but this isn't a problem.  What is the problem, is that I have a windows machine 7 who thinks that drive a need to put in shape, but my previous laptop which has vista on it was absolutely no problem to read the files IN ALL and you can open one of them without a hitch.  I tried to run CHKDSK I:\I (it is labeled as the I drive :) and 7 claims that it is in the format RAW.  I had a look at CHKDSK on my old machine and it is in FAT32, I since changed it to NTFS, but seems to have no effect.  I also tried the hunting of the drivers for the external hard drive, but I come only through links to Amazon as these things are always available.

    I really need to access this drive on my current computer as the older one needs a considerable cooling method to make it work therefore the latest machine.  What I also don't understand, it's that it was working absolutely fine on this machine too until quite recently.  He worked on it that I need, but have not been accessed for a while and so solutions in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
