Installation of Acrobat on a machine running Mac OS and Windows OS

I have a new MacAir (Mountain Lion OS) and which will also have Windows 7 installed (via the Parallels software).  I want to install Adobe Acrobat XI (Standard preference, or Pro if necessary) so that I can print to PDF from any application, whether in Windows or Mac OS environment.  How to install Acrobat to achieve?  What I have to install twice, once in the Mac environment, then again in the Windows environment?  Or can I install Acrobat just in the Mac environment and make it appear as a print option in Windows applications?  Thank you.

Can't do. Serials for the stand-alone products are platform specific. Yes, you must install it in the two environemnts, but according to the previous one, it is not possible unless you have 2 licenses. That said, if you want to print to PDF, there is enough of the free alternatives like GhostScript.

I tried several times to contact support, but have not been able to get well. I have a trial (try actually the second time), but are not yet able to test Lightroom/CC. I wanted to try the room light I use Capture 1 now.

My question is this: the Downloader or installer will load only if I "Run as Administrator" and then it crashes every time in seconds. I even tried the Adobe application that will go well and remove all the remains of the previous software hoping that he would, but no solution. It will continue to act as his footstool, consumption of RAM, but do nothing else than the loop on the same screen. I have to force quit the program so that he could even respond. I'm a little confused on where to go with it. Thank you!

  • We can establish a common partition for Mac OS and Windows Boot Camp

I'm new to Mac, so please excuse my ignorance.

I have a MacBookPro 11 mid-2015 with 512 GB SSD and 16 GB of RAM.

I have Mac OS X El Capitan and that you have installed 10 Windows using the Boot Camp utility on a 150 GB partition. I wanted a common partition on exFAT which could serve as a repository for my data either of the OS. My intention - 150 GB for Mac OS - 200 GB of data - 150 GB for Windows 10. How can this be achieved?

Earlier, after the Boot Camp, I reduced the Mac OS to 350 GB partition to 150 GB and released 200 GB. Formatting this turned me expensive because it stopped my Windows to start. Repair it was a waste of time and effort. I draw the hard Windows on a Mac is sensitive to changes in the partition.

In addition, is using Virtual Box better than Boot Camp? I don't have as much virtualized environments.

    Please advice.

You can connect an external drive of ExFat formatted. The OSX and Windows can read/write on a disk formatted ExFat.

A virtual machine has its advantages, as does a Boot Camp facility. A virtual machine allows the simultaneous OS, any necessary initialization to change operating systems. Data can be shared between operating systems more easily. Computer such as memory resources are shared in a VM for applications environment to run slower.

Installation of Boot Camp allows Windows to run in native mode by using all of the system resources, so apps will go faster. But to change operating systems, a reboot is required. It is more difficult to share data.

  • Visio 2002 running on vista and windows 7

I use Visio 2002 SP2 Professional at work.  I want to be able to continue the work home with her.  My wife and I have 2 laptops - 1 has Vista and the other is Windows 7.  Can I install Visio 2002 professional Service Pack 2 on cell phones or the other or both for use?  If I need a newer version, not the latest, what will work?

Using the Windows 7 Compatibility Center and the Windows Vista Compatibility Center, they both show that you need to upgrade to another version of Visio to run on those computers. What operating system you use at work?

You might be able to use the compatibility mode:

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other software virtualization part 3rd and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

    I hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to spend in Firefox 4 on a machine running Mac OS 10.4.11?

I can't upgrade my OS as our machines (Mac mini with 1 GB of RAM) do not have CPU Pentel needed for the OS 'Snow Leopard', and although I can DL the installation of programs for FF4, I am prevented from dragging and dropping them in my Applications folder

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third part of Firefox 4 version that works under OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details, see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

  • If I had virtual machines running 3.5 and I update to 4.0 VMs still work?

    Hey there!

Well, today I had a request to create a virtual computer that is running Server 2003 x 64.

I have ESXi 3.5.0 and according to this site, it is not possible to install x 64-bit operating systems.

The solution is to run ESXi 4.

I wanted to try and install ESXi 4 on 3.5.0. Virtual machines are in a separate hard disk of the ESXi installation location.

My question is, once ESXi 4 is running, will the system VMs flowing underneath?

    Are there problems?

    Thank you guys!

If your host has VT turned on in the bios (not all processors supported by this feature), you can then run 'standard' x 64 vm s on 3.5.  The link that you referenced is if you use paravirtualized VM.  Most of the people do not use paravirtualized.

  • What is the best antivirus when running both OSX and Windows 10?

I have a new Macbook Pro running OSX El Capitan and 10 Windows via Parallels Desktop. I installed AVG Free on the Mac and Win 10 sides, however, it seems to be really stuck on side Windows - that is, he is always "up to date" and driving me crazy. Questions - a) do I need to run an antivirus software on both platforms? And someone has recommendations on programs that are better use? I have an active subscription to McAfee for Windows, I think I could install instead.

    Thanks for any input.

McAfee, Norton, AVG, etc... They are OK. Usually, you get FREE antivirus software with your internet subscriber.

Comcast gives you FREE Norton. Check with your site to internet subscribers to the FREE anti-virus software.

Running Bootcamp on my macbook pro.   I'm not really care to start in one or the other.    What should I upgrade to what I can run them both?

If I remember well when I bought the Macbook, they have said that there is a way to run application MS Windows within apple, but need something... maybe it was to raise the RAM!

I understand that we cannot improve current macbook, but if I'm going to buy another macbook just want to know what to buy.

There are options such as Parallels virtualization. See http://www.macworld.co.uk/feature/mac-software/best-virtualisation-app-run-windo ws-on-your-mac-boot-camp-vmware-parallel...

  • How to set up Adobe Muse files to work on Mac OS and Windows?

I create and manage Web sites built with Adobe Muse on my windows, but I bought a new macbook pro and I now want to be able to transfer and work on my mac when I travel. I understand the neccessity of the location of the configuration file and having to repeat the active link on my mac as well, but I was wondering what is the 'best' way to install files on my system. Also how I would keep the muse files updated between the two, there is a secret automated way or should I just add each file or new muse updated to the other computer to keep both abreast.

Save your file to Muse and assets in a folder on Dropbox or your creative cloud. There are a few threads about the different ways to do it with a cloud on this forum service.

  • Far Cry installation on 64 bit Vista machine problems

I have a 64 bit vista (SP1) computer.  I have "Far Cry". I have a lot of speed, memory, and all that. When I start the installation process, I get the error "run setup32.exe on windows 32-bit or setup64.exe on 64-bit windows!". There is no "setup64.exe' on the disk. I tried to run in compatibility mode XP but that does not make a difference. I was on the site of the manufacturers and they seem to be something that corresponds to this topic. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thank you
    DJ

    Hello

The error, run setup32.exe on 32-bit windows, or setup64.exe on 64-bit windows is because the setup .exe is does not correspond with the vista 64-bit operating system.

No doubt during the installation of the game, he must use the file setup32.exe.

I suggest you search the setup64.exe the disk file.

If you are not able to find, then suggests to replace the disk. There are several sites and it is for the manufacturer.

  • When I start the machine, continuous hard drive work for almost 1/2 hour, meanwhile if I open a program, the machine runs very slowly. Help solve the problem please

I have wndow XP Home edition service pack 3 installed on my lap top. When I start the computer the hard drive continues to work for almost 1/2 hour; Meanwhile, if I open IE, or any program, the machine runs very slowly and I just can not open the program up until the drive hard light is off. Please help solve the problem

How much RAM you have on your system? (Right click on "My Computer"-> properties)

As a general rule, Windows XP does not work well if you have less than 1 GB or more of RAM.  What usually happens is that your RAM capacity is exceeded leading to overflow on virtual memory (the drive) to compensate for the need of RAM in the computer.  This causes your system to beat on your hard drive and slow down your system.

If this is your problem, the options are to increase the RAM on your system or decrease the non-essential programs that launch at startup on your computer using a tool like Autoruns.
