  I turned to the forums and I saw that many, many people have the same problem with Vista SP2 Upgrade. Microsoft and several of its Vista customers realized that Vista has a lot of problems, but people who have need of the service. Being able to download and install the SP2 can make Vista more stable, but I get the same message mentioned above, and so I am sure are a lot of other people who are trying to get Service Pack 2 integrated into Vista.

• Windows Installer service is missing from my Vista 32 bit. How to re-install Windows Installer?

  Windows Installer service is missing from my Vista 32 bit SP2. How can I re - install Windows Installer? None of the 27 sets of update and Installer Cleanup solutions worked, a last resort option could work but it will not install without the Windows Installer Service.

  I tried each FixIt option, says the problem is solved, but isn't.
  I tried install Windows Installer 4.5, but it came back as not relevant to my system (because there is no previous installer to update).
  Tried a number of recommended patches, but they are all geared toward fixing the problems of Windows Update not a lack of Windows Installer.
  MicrosoftFixit50202.msi seems to have corrected Windows Update on my laptop but it won't install on Vista pc because there is no Windows Installer.
  I ran the installation disc the option 'fix' with the original, it finished but has not replaced Installer and nothing was fixed.

  How can I put the installer of Windows on my computer?  If there are files on the original drive that can be put into drive C what are they?
  Someone suggested to uninstall Service Pack 2, and then reinstall, but if I have no installer of Windows that may not work. Others said they reformatted to correct same question, but it did not work.

  After a month of butting heads with the refusal of Microsoft to actually help except to sell us all a new copy of Vista or Win7 at the normal price I solved the problem myself.

  1. I made a list of all my software purchased, including required registration keys, etc. and site URL for those who I don't have a disk for.
  2. Deleted registry back up on my external hard disk, reloading apparently one makes the backed up registry problems breed more.
  3. Inserted my drive from Dell to factory since 2007 and restarted. Press a key to boot from the CD. Chose "reformat hard drive' first, then when prompted hit"Reinstall"(slightly different wording on your computer).
  4. After you have reinstalled the factory disc 32-bit Vista, I spent hours 7 next installation of SP1, SP2 and hundreds of updates. Note that several times Windows Update said some updates to date has failed, but finally everything installed correctly by repeating the sequence of installation/reboot to update. There have been a few files that reported to turn off computer completely, I've shown... clicked with indicator shutdown (stop), let it do its thing until it turned off the computer and then the computer restarted manually later. After a total of 8 hours and 14 minutes as my Vista has been fully loaded, updated the installer is still intact, everything works very well and did not cost a penny.

  It has been 2 days since the reformatting/reinstall. I reinstalled all my additional software without problem. System Mechanic is back in service without any prejudice to my installation Service. Seems that something is involved with .NET Framework 4 triggered a defense mechanism that caused the installer should be deleted, solved the problem of the .NET Framework from Microsoft, but it can be installed by the installer being removed to protect our computers. The question was not just with Dell computers, it is Dell support is just as incompetent that Microsoft support batch so more Dell owners were here to complain.

  FYI: my mobile Samsung with Win7, the correction was easier because my installation Service has not been removed:

  1. Uninstalled all the software using .net Framework 4 (only 2)
  2. Uninstalled all .net Framework 4 bodies found on my list of programs (Client Profile and Essentials)
  3. A ran my System Mechanic to remove debris aka too much clutter and correct registry problems
  4. Laptop rebooted then ran Windows Update. All the updates installed with 3 requiring the judgment to install. .NET framework reinstalled with updates.
  5. Reinstalled my 2 pieces of software that use .NET Framework.

  It has been 4 days without any problem at all. So, in my case, it's .NET Framework 4 that created and continued the problem, even if the specific audit FixIt kept saying all .NET Frameworks have been installed correctly.

  I had problems for the last two months trying to install the update to windows KB2556532. I have Windows Vista 32 bit.

  I had a virus that has been cleaned of my laptop. It was windows recovery of fraud, and I don't know if this could have caused the problem at first, but after you have cleaned the virus always impossible to install this update.

  Like many users, I need to install Windows XP Home edition on my new satellite. It comes with Vista pre-installed. I inserted the Windows XP Home edition installation CD, but it stops with 'Blue Screen' after about 5 minutes of loading the drivers.

  Can someone give me a step by step guide on installing XP on Vista on the computer satellite phone? For example, what drivers should I? What (URL)? Should I format the hard drive? How to do this, i.e. restart vista what mode?

  Any other useful information in this sense will be useful?

  Hello

  You want to replace the Vista operating system or do you want to use the two BONES?

  If you want to use both I would recommend installation of XP on the second partition NTFS.
  I m not 100% sure why the blue screen appears during installation of XP, but sometimes the installation of XP operating system was not possible because the XP OS CD did not contain the SP2.

  Therefore, it would be desirable to create CD of XP installation that includes SP2.
  This can be done using the software called nLite. Maybe it helps

  I get the blue screen when I install the above, and this update was 12/01/2011 and continues to reappear after I restore the system to January 9. So I turned off auto updates but isn't this bad since I DON'T want to prevent remote control?  What can I do to fix these two updates. No blue screen before these updates, but as soon as I say yes to reboot on blue screen. My only concern is that this command deletes previous restore dates and that the option is permanently deleted. However, first I have to print the steps to follow for a clean boot and re-read.   1. are you able to install some other updates on the computer?

  2. what was the message on blue screen?

  3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  It is not recommended to disable the automatic update.

  These updates will be revived again after the system restore.

  I suggest that you manually download and install the update, check if it works.

  Also, make sure you disable all the third-party program installed on the computer during the update installation process.

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

• my computer guard reboot changes back several times after the installation of Service pack 2 on Vista.

  I tried to update my computer (Dell, Vista Home premium) with service pack 2 for Vista.
  But after completing the installation, there was an error when I tried to restart to complete update and work stoppage.
  So I restarted the computer and, instead of log on screen, the message [service pack was not installed recovery changes do not turn off your computer] appeared
  and then restart automatically.

  Now it's repeating this cycle for a day!... .the message - > restart-> message-> restart...
  What should I do? I can still start windows safe mode. (the same message...)
  I have lots of important files it contains so really want to reinstall Vista.
  Please help me...

  Given that repair options did not work for you.  I suggest you try the method below.

  Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk. Rename the Pending.xml file, and then change the registry notes read the following important notes before you use this troubleshooting method. Use this method to resolve the symptom of restart that is described in the "Symptoms" section, so that you can back up data before you reinstall Windows. You must use this method of troubleshooting only if you plan to back up data and reinstall Windows. Use this method only after trying other methods. Note If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer for instructions on how to continue. Use this method only if the computer has no restore points or if you cannot start your computer to a point where the system restore feature is available. After using this method, the following conditions may exist until reinstalling Windows: An update is being installed may not be installed correctly. Windows Update may not work correctly. If an update is installed, you may be unable to stop the installation process. You may be unable to enable and disable certain Windows functions in option. Certain optional Windows features may not work correctly. The computer may be in an unprotected state. To rename the Pending.xml file, and edit the registry, follow these steps. Start Windows Vista and go to system recovery options: Insert the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then restart the computer. When you are prompted to restart from the disc, press any key. When you are prompted, configure the language to install, time and currency formatsand keyboard or input method options that you want, and then click Next.   9. In the registry editor, find and delete the following registry subkey:

  Exit the registry editor:

  1. At the command prompt, type exit to quit the registry editor.
  2. Press ENTER.
  3. Click restart.

  When I get off of my PC from vista to XP. I decided to put it back on the pre-installed Windows version. But when I put the installation CD, I could not start in it because this internet message would not appear "press any key to start from the CD or DVD.

  I've tried everything as follows:

  I put it the CD in the boot order in the BIOS and CMOS.

  I pressed the button that says "press F11 to start on a device.

  I tried to put it on my friend's PC

  ETC.

  The second step that I need to press is showing a list of the devices listed my CDROM, but it does not work either!

  You can not 'borrow' license to someone else.

  If the computer/laptop comes with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.) or is licensed to OEM System Builders, that the product key that came with the computer/laptop is preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.

  OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) and the license OEM System Builders are related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when machine who dies.

  Only retail Operating System license that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.

• After using the EPSON WF-3520 installation CD, the DVD on my Vista PC player has stopped working.

  I use a three-year-old Toshiba Satellite A355.  The Eastern question is HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50F Up at this time yesterday, it had been working flawlessly.  Now, it only makes clicking sound, but does not open.  Device Manager says "this device is functioning."  No, it isn't!  EPSON help guys said that they had had some problems with the contractor providing the installation disc, but no one else had complained that the DVD player has stopped working.  I want to just get it repaired.
