Installation of CentOS on Dell R720 after you disable the RAID

Hello

I have this R720 Server I want to install CentOS 6.3. It has two 256 GB partitions that have been previously configured as a RAID-1 volume. I removed it because we must not RAID and just need performance when it comes to disk read/write. However, the CentOS installer does not recognize two physical disks. But if I configure the RAID-0 drives the installation program recognizes the discs. I do for the installation program to recognize the physical disks? Thank you.

Mary Carmen

What RAID controller do you use?  I assumes that you use the H710 PERC, which does NOT support non-RAID, so in order for everything to be presented to the operating system, you will first need to configure it in RAID.  If you don't want to use RAID (even as a RAID 0 drive), then you will need get another controller.  PERC H310 supports non-RAID (the other controller for the R720 options make too, but they won't work on Linux).

  • Windows 7 will not be updated after you disable the upgrade of Windows 10.

    Hello.

We have a number of computers at work that all run windows 7 pro 64-bit. We cannot upgrade to Windows 10 because it is not compatible with our companies critical software.

    I disabled the update of windows 10 via;

    -Uninstall KB3035583

    -Installation of KB3065987

-Start-up of "disable update" in group policy under admin template/windows components/upgrades

He worked on all the computers except one. All other computers are updated to windows 7 with no request an upgrade to windows 10.

Simply, a computer that will not update hangs on the screen of "check for updates". I ran the Microsoft fixit50123.msi to this topic.

What other options can I try on this computer thugs?

  • After you disable the new interface to tabs, all new documents are not open in a larger window

    Hello

Yesterday I upgrade my Adobe 11.0.10 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 15.010.20056 player. The tabs interface was pleasant enough, but there are still some limitations with this features, such as,.

1 > no option to set no maximum. tabs in a single window,

2 > tabs cannot organize, to be moved to a new window and several selected

I want to disable the new interface to tabs via Preferences > General > open documents in the new tab in the same window (not checked), but after you turn off the new tabbed interface, all new documents open after the first document are not open in a maximized window, they always opened in a restored window.

No matter what I do, it keeps - on the opening of the second new pdf in this one, restored windows are the things that I tried to overcome this.

1 > right of the DC open Adobe Acrobat click in the task bar > Adobe Reader DC > right click > properties > run: enlarged - only the first document opened in maximized windows, documents later opened in the restored only, window that too seem to not work when I closed the last document in a restored window. Opening in the same window type is part of the windows operating system, it does all the time, "opens the entire application in the same way that they have been closed, either maximized/restored and the size of Windows too". Only the first one application window is open in this way, rest of the windows open is seems to be not supported by the operating system.

  • Password changed after you disable the login screen

Then I disabled my login screen, today and now when I start my computer, it brings me to a page that said 'incorrect password' and then returns to the login screen. Then when I enter my password it does not work. It seems that my password has been changed somehow when I disabled the login screen. In the meantime I can use my fingerprint reader to log on, but if I were to ever lose a finger in the future I wouldn't be able to access my computer. So, how can I reset my password?

Curiously the admins cannot change her password without having to type the current password, but they can change the password of any other account without knowing the password.

    Not true - see here:

    1. click on the start planet.
    2. type the three letters cmd in the search box.
    3. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    4. click on "run as Administrator".
    5. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:
    NET user "Zach" 123456
The command above will set the password of the account selected to 123456.
  • White screen after you disable the primary monitor and secondary on Satellite

    Hello

I tried to connect a LCD screen on my laptop, in the first place, I went to the Panneau--affichage--controle--avancees--controler--proprietes--device use settings: disable!

This allowed secondary LCD screen but the most stupid thing, it is that when I wanted to return to the screen of my laptop that I followed the same procedure with the LCD.

The result is that now the two are empty. Laptop screen turns white as soon as starts to load windows. Combination Fn + F5 didn't help. I also tried to get into windows in safe mode, but it has not been possible.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    PLEASE, I BEG YOU.

    Thank you

During startup in safe mode, the laptop charge only a current drivers and it should be able to see something on the screen.
But if it is not possible and you are not able to deliver internal display on the screen, then I guess you need to start form the recovery CD and reinstall the OS :(

The new facility is scheduled to replace all the display settings and the laptop should work.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet after you install the update

My computer crashed this afternoon. I restored it since restoration, but Firefox lost disk and my Trend Micro antuvirus.  I downloaded the two products, but when I try to install them, they are trying to reconnect to the internet to complete the download.  Or the program is able to do.  I can log on the Internet and to allow them there have turned off the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender, suspecting one of them was blocking the remote connection.  I am running Windows Vista and IE8.  When I Windows Update, I lose all internet connections and have to use system restore to go back before the updates.

    Step 3

If you want to upgrade your Netbook Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Professional, you must use the upgrade wizard Express Windows as well as the key to Windows 7 Professional.

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation).

Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.
